I am a Complete Clinics HCG patient and I LOVE my results. I have been a yo-yo dieter since I was 15 years old when my mother was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She and I worked together to lose weight and get her blood sugars under control. When I was 16 I met the father of my children and future ex-husband. We would go out to the movies and for pizza every weekend. Obviously bad eating habits reasserted themselves and I started to gain weight back. I was the typical yo-yo and ended up gaining more than I had lost each time I went on a diet. I lost weight to get married, I gained more back. I lost weight to get pregnant with my first child. By January 2013, I was at my heaviest weight ever of 250 pounds on a 5' 8" frame. I'm not one for creating New Year's resolutions since I've never been good at keeping them, but I had a goal for 2013 to lose weight for my niece's wedding. Then on my way home from work one day I was stopped on the tollway waiting my turn to exit when I was rear-ended by a HUGE SUV. I had whiplash, two herniated discs, my left shoulder blade was cocked in and down, several vertebrae were cocked out and up while others were cocked in and down. My neck and back were a mess!! My doctor prescribed physical therapy and while I was happy to do it, my body objected and fought me all the way. I was in a lot of pain and too fat to do half of the exercises the PT wanted me to do. I had to DO something! I found Complete Clinics through my chiropractor. I knew I needed help (see my yo-yo dieting history above) and I knew I needed to see results quickly or I was going to lose focus and momentum and just continue to follow the yo-yo back up and OVER 250 pounds. I completed two 40-day injection cycles and still continue to lose weight. On my first cycle I lost a total of 35 pounds (9.5 the first week!!). I took the mandatory minimum of six weeks off between cycles, and with the help of the phentermine, I was able to continue losing weight. During the second cycle of injections I lost 22 more pounds. To date (2/27/14), I have lost a total of 87 pounds since my first injection on May 18, 2013, and have another 8 pounds to go to reach my ultimate goal of 95 pounds lost. Did I feel the side-effects as warned? Yes, but I was able to keep going and they lessened as time went on. I was able to get past them to finish my first cycle and by the second cycle, I wasn't feeling any of the side-effects at all. Today I am training for a half marathon (NEVER would I have thought this was possible) and am happier than I have been in years! Do I still have cravings for "bad" food like chocolate, cookies and bread? YES, of course I do, I AM human and female. But I don't have to let the bad foods ruin all of the hard work I've done in the last nine months. I still weigh myself daily and if I had a bad day the day before I promise myself I'm not going to use it as an excuse to give up. I wish I could post pictures so people can see my before and after shots. HCG is not magic, but it feels like it to me. The system works IF you follow the plan. I know that the weight will come back if I don't keep working to keep it off. I've had pizza, beer, cookies, and ice cream since I stopped taking the injections, but I have NOT eaten them all on the same day or even in the same week, gained 5 pounds back and then thrown my hands in the air and said "HCG doesn't work." HCG works if you follow the plan. Don't take the option for injections if you are aichmophobic (suffer from the fear of needles). There ARE other ways to get the HCG in your system. The needles are the same ones that diabetics use to inject their insulin. They are tiny and almost painless if you lightly pinch the skin together before inserting the needle. Here's my story in a nutshell: I am a 42 year old woman with 3 young children. After having baby #3 at 39, I found it nearly impossible to lose my "baby weight". I have never been a small girl and have lost and gained more weight on and off than anyone can imagine. I primarily started going to CC due to the fact that I was getting married. I am a "professional dieter" and know better than to expect miracles. My intentions were to go on the HCG diet and be done. I was not looking to lose all the weight I needed to, just enough to feel and look better for my wedding. The HCG diet is very restrictive, but does work! In a little over a month I lost 29lbs. The staff was incredible...very supportive! They also were very clear that this diet was not a "quick fix" or a "miracle". Due to my crazy work/travel schedule, they were very accommodating between offices and appointment times. Traveling for work 5 days a week and living in hotels can be very hard on your body in general, not to mention always trying to find healthy food choices. Kudos especially to Lupe and Terri. Terri (Nurse Practitioner), might as well be a doctor. During my initial visit with her, she went over my entire health history and asked me questions no other doctor had. She provided me great information, along with references to back them, No other doctor I have seen, has ever done that. She gave me honest and upfront recommendations for my personal body make up, in which I continue to incorporate into my daily lifestyle. After I finished the HCG I continued the program at a slower pace with Medication. At that point I was more concerned about maintaining my weight loss, especially for my wedding. As of today I am still a client of CC and have lost additional weight, but at my pace. I am not going to lie...I am not perfect and have bad days. There have been appointments/weigh ins where I have gained weight. We're all human! No one shunned or scolded me. I could not recomment this program more. It has definitely changed my life and I could not be more greatful. I tried Complete Clinics after researching several other options. I really can't say enough good things about the staff, program and the RESULTS. I joined the program with a friend. Great, knowledgeable staff. Very nice and dedicated to helping. They helped me break through a barrier that has held me back for a long time when it came to losing weight. Don't let anyone tell you that you can lose weight without doing anything, thats just not true. You have to be willing to work at. This practice will help you though. Its like having a medical professional as your personal training coach but they care about more than just pounds lost and equally care about things like my cholesterol. I've visited the Complete Clinics in Gurnee! My experience was fantastic. The support staff is very kind, attentive, and treated me with respect and were very patient. The Ofc. Mgr.and Med. Asst. are wonderful people. The Doctor I met wiith was just as attentive and listened to my needs and concerns about my struggles with weight loss. I did the 23 DAY HCG Simeons program offered at the clinic. I lost 14 lbs and 12 lbs of FAT MASS in 23 DAYS!!! The most impressed thing is that those lipo B Shots I got from them they really worked. My first visit was July or late June I was 158lbs. Wasn't expect that much but now I am down to 145 lbs. (Diet, workout along with lipo B) I am very happy about the result feel safe and healthy with those B12 shots. Losing weight is not easy and it is nice to go there each month and know I am not going to feel worse than I already do for maybe not losing as much as I was, or they were, hoping. However, they are still very supportive and give me tips, tricks and ideas as to how to be better for the next month. "I went to Complete Clinics for weight loss in the Oak Lawn office. The girls in the office are very resourceful and friendly. They are very matter of fact and dont candy coat anything. I loved the service! The shots and medication are working great for me so far, just in 4 weeks I was able to concentrate on what/how I ate that I shed 10 lbs and I feel great. Their hours/days of operation are minimal, but I only need to see them once a month anyway. The diet was pretty easy to follow, and you're given a booklet to help you figure out your own diet plan. I love the staff at Oak Brook, all of them are very supportive. I am very happy to see Terri McCreedy is back! Everyone there is very friendly and they always run on time which is important to me. I have been successful on the HCG program but you really have to follow it and not get discouraged. When the scale stays the same for a few days eating 500 calories it can get frustrating, but it is the only program I have found that really resets and allows you to keep the weight off with healthy eating. I have referred a few people there and they have all shared great comments about their experience. One of my friends said she loves Terri because she credits her with saving her!
