Junior came out and met with us and somehow managed to translate my insane ramblings about shadowboxes and faux islands into exactly what I was wanting. He was able to make some recommendations for things I would have never even thought of (moving our stove down a few inches for extra drawers and building our fridge into the cabinets so we have more over fridge storage) and had our drawings to us immediately. He was up front about the pricing and we were able to pick and choose from options that met our needs but kept us within budget. The only real snag we hit was when my husband decided to go out on his own for places to buy granite from, but once we shopped from the list that Junior had given us things went a lot smoother. I was impressed with how organized everything was throughout the entire planning process. Junior gave us a timeline on when our work could begin and things went according to plan. The crew was friendly and worked really hard, they kept things as neat as you can expect from a kitchen remodel. Given everything I hear from other folks that have done kitchen remodels, I was braced for a lot of pain and delays, so I am pleased to report that things actually went faster than expected once I understood that the granite takes about a week to have cut after the cabinets are installed. I am so happy with my new kitchen, it is literally my dream come true. I cannot rave enough about Junior and the team from I4. =)

He asked me to send pictures and measurements and that he would be out the next day. 30 mins before he was suppose to be there, he called with a price over $9000 the highest estimate that I received. We talked about differences, and I mentioned that we had terrazzo so we did not want tile. He did not know what terrazzo was. I told him thank you, I was not interested in the estimate and hung up. I am sorry but if a estimator/designer in FL does not know what terrazzo is, I have issues since this is the most common flooring that was used in the older homes.

We were working on a highly challenging and sensitive bathroom renovation project. He handled it all -- from intricate plumbing, to level 5 drywall work, to tile setting, paint & caulk. He can tear apart a room and put it back together again, pixel perfect. The guy is a master. And, as we all know, it's hard to find an honest builder in this world -- this is one of the few. Darrell gave me 2 quotes, one to simply satisfy the HOA, and the second to fill all the cracks from the house settling, power wash, prime and paint the entire house. This is an investment rental property and I hadn't been to the house in a while, and when selecting the colors from the HOA approved color palettes, I picked the wrong one. I didn't want to change the color, so I sent him all of the palettes, and he did a BEAUTIFUL job - I had selected the higher quote so that I don't have to redo it for years, and it turned out to be gorgeous. Plus he offers a touch-up guarantee so if I run across any minor issues, he'll come back out to take care of it. I *highly* recommend Done Wright - I was so impressed!

I will not hire Tom again. He gives you a reasonable quote, but beware--it seems reasonable because…read morehe does not fully understand the job. He will tell you that he does, but in my experience, he is not an experienced handyman. Tom will underestimate a job, agree to a price, and then change the price once he realizes the job is more difficult or time-consuming than he expected. I hired Tom to install a gazebo that several other experienced technicians told me would take about a day. It took Tom three days. We agreed on a set price a month before the job, but once he realized he was over his head and needed to hire an additional handyman, he put that extra cost on me. I paid the additional amount for his handyman even though I felt I shouldn't have had to, because the additional expense resulted from his lack of understanding of the job. He also tried to charge me more because the gazebo took him longer than expected, despite telling me that he was having issues understanding the instructions. The additional time and difficulty were not my fault. Tom is also very slow, and a simple project may take two to three times longer because of his inexperience. On top of that, he initially was not going to clean up the mess he left at my house after I told him I would not pay extra for the additional time. Thankfully, he eventually cleaned it up with my help. Tom will give you one price and, if he runs into difficulties due to his inexperience, ask for more money and change the original quote. DO NOT HIRE HIM, and do not rely on his quoted price or claimed experience. Trust me, you will regret it.
