I have been a patient for 3 years and am so frustrated with this place. Dr Eader is great but unfortunately it is impossible to get an appointment. I have called MULTIPLE times and never get a call back. This has happened multiple times over the last year. When I've had to refill a prescription I almost never get a return call and when I do, he has the most incredibly rude assistant. She shouldn't be even working for psychiatrists. I was seeing a psychiatrist at this practice for over 6 years. As of late I have not been able to have my phone calls returned. It seems that they have been bought out by a larger company and do not have the staff needed. I waited two days for my phone calls to be returned. The last message I left their mailbox was full. When they finally returned my call they informed me that they get hundreds of calls a day and cannot return all the calls. I told them they need to have more staff... pretty common sense, don't you think? When you need a psychiatrist you need to have them address your needs and not returing a patient's phone call is totally unacceptable. This place has horrible customer service, they never return calls and you have to call multiple times to get to someone, but the main reason for their ZERO stars is because they are THIEFS. They charged my credit card for a visit and they charged my insurance as well, when I called them to complain they said "OOPS we made a mistake" and said that they would mail a check to us and it would take 2 weeks. Why can't they just credit the credit card since that was the method used to pay. 2 weeks later we called to inquire about the refund and after many calls and finally getting someone on the phone, they now said that it wouyld take 45 days to get the refund. Dr. Rabines is the most inept, arrogant, and insensitive Doctor I have ever met. I went to him to get help adjusting my meds for my depression, and he had me arrested and put in the hospital. Despite the fact that I repeatedly told him I was not suicidal, and had no intention of hurting myself or anyone else. Repeatedly!!!! Dr. McKinnan prescribes my antidepressant which is caused by a chemical imbalance that occurred from childhood abuse (complex PTSD). As someone who struggles with a mental illness I know how scary it can be. It's so important to feel comfortable with your psychiatrist and their practice as a whole. I've made every attempt to have patience with med psych. Ive tried to remain a patient and not bounce around. I am not only an advocate of my own health but to others who struggle as well. You will not have your calls returned. If you have an emergency, you probably won't get a call back until days later. There's nothing wrong with their phone systems! They are under staffed and the patients are having to deal with this burden. Do you think that's fair?! If you notice on Google or other sites, the owner replies to all the great reviews, but not ones like this ... This problem is Not being addressed. With that being said, my advise is to find a Dr. That has compassion, returns calls if your experiencing issues with medication. Does right by their patients. Never have I been treated so poorly as by this company. My husband had a neuropsych evaluation in November 2021. The final step of the intake was for me to meet with the clinician for a final interview. After much back-and-forth, a Zoom meeting was scheduled, but the clinician was a no-show. I called immediately to see if I had the time and date wrong. There was no callback (you cannot get a real person... It is all voicemail no matter what time or day you call.) I then called no less than six times over the next few weeks. Not one callback! I even had my husband's neurologist call, they didn't even have the courtesy to call him back. This is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. And since they put in a claim to Medicare, illegal! So without any other recourse, I filed a complaint with Medicare, since not only did I not get the report that was promised within two weeks, but I never got any explanation for any of this behavior. I will pursue this to the end until and unless I get some satisfaction from this questionable company. read more

I'm quite frustrated with this office because they took around two weeks to call after getting the referral just to tell me only their therapists take the insurance we have and to call my wife's employer to get more information. This is literally the WORST company you could ever trust with your mental health. If anything, they will just make it worse for you! My doctor moved to this company and from the very beginning it was a nightmare. Their billing department won't send your claims to your insurance company so you get charged the full amount for your visit. And God forbid you try to get in touch with someone, that will NEVER happen. I was on hold for 20 mins, transferred to a voicemail, called back and placed on hold for another 30 mins. No one is ever in the office, the supervisors don't seem to exist, and no one ever returns phone calls or emails. I hope you never have an actual emergency and have to speak to your therapist because you will never get in touch with anyone there. Over two years ago my husband's neurologist was calling to have him tested for his memory. They called for months trying to get a call returned or better yet, an appointment. Imagine my surprise when the owner of the company called yelling at me to have the neurologist quit calling that they didn't take my husband's insurance. He kept yelling telling me that Humana did not ever pay them. It would have been nice if they had just called to tell us that months before. And they call this a place for mental health while this man caused me to feel horrible all while he was screaming down the phone. First off it took a month to get an appointment after being on hold for over an hour with an intake specialist. After receiving emails and texts about your upcoming appointment you log on just to wait for over an hour for the doctor NOT to come on. After three days of calling they finally say the doctor didn't work that day and was referred back to intake where I left a couple of messages and of course no one calling me back. So this guy Dr. Babur Bhatti in Jacksonville prescribes two medications for my wife. She's having a serious set of side effects, which are listed on the medication's website. It says not to discontinue without consulting the doc. So we call the doctor's office and she's told she has to come in to see the doc. I had a neuropsych evaluation on Jan 24th, I was supposed to get results via zoom meeting on Feb 14th. One hour before the zoom meeting, the doctor emailed me to say he hadn't received the forms he sent home with me and he needed them to finish his report. I informed him that I returned them on the Jan 24th after I got home and filled them out. 2 days later he sends another email to tell me they had a problem accessing their mailbox. The next day he says they got the mail and the forms were there and he would finish the report. 2 weeks later I still don't have the report. At this point I don't think I will ever get it.. Avoid this business at all costs. They are unreliable and a total scam. read more

This place is a scam! Waited three hours for a Psych to appear at the telehealth meeting and no one showed. Called numerous times "where is the Provider?" "I am still waiting." No one returned the call. Then a questionnaire appears online to fill out so I assume this is pre-interview stuff. I fill it out and keep waiting for someone to appear on the screen. After four hours and no return calls I gave up. Did not receive any call back and never heard from them again. Yesterday I received a bill for $101. and I noted that they billed Medicare $1000 for two sessions. That is Medicare fraud and I will call Medicare to let them know. I would advise you not to go to this business. After nearly an hour on the phone with intake, providing all of my information, I was told that they had no psychiatrists to treat me as my case was too complicated. I made the mistake of calling again today and today I was told that they do not have a psychiatrist qualified to treat me because I am on prescribed pain medication. I told the person that I had had cervical spine surgery in March 2021 and the pain medication was prescribed by a pain doctor who I have been going to for several years. read more

Worst ever. It takes forever to get an appointment and the staff is rude. I had to go to work after my first appointment and I didn't get in until an hour and a half after my appointment time. It's practically impossible to reach someone and communication is not their strong suit. You have to stay on them to get your medication refills and sometimes they don't give you the information you need for your upcoming appointments. They have a no-show/late cancellation fee of $100 -- their version of late is if it's within FIVE DAYS of your appointment. Talk about stressing out people who are already stressed. Clinicians are OK. Unfortunately, there are only two places in town that take most insurance and both of them get really negative reviews, so unless you want to pay for treatment yourself, you're pretty stuck. Every doctor is booked out extremely far, if you are a woman and prefer and female doctor, they will argue with you about why that's stupid. I have been seeing my doctor for a year now. He is a great doctor and very understanding listens to his patients but the office staff is not very efficient or professional. They make it really hard to get in contact with someone to make an appointment refills are really hard to get because there is lack of communication. The doctors assistant I use to stay in contact with via text message and would message her my refill needs the medicines. I would leave detailed messages of the medicines I needed refilled the dosages and locations of the pharmacies and she would get the medicine wrong and have them filled at the wrong stores. This has happened over 3 times where the medicines have been refilled wrong and to the wrong pharmacy. I have even left detailed voice messages of the exact medicine dosages and pharmacy's I need it sent to and she has still managed to not have the doctor correctly refill them. I was contacting her via text message as it was nearly impossible to get a hold of the office. I have been put on hold for over an hour. The last time I messaged her via text because as I needed my medicine refilled ti a different pharmacy as my current one was out of stock so I let her know through text message and I was reprimanded with a rude text saying to not contact her via text message. The reason I was messaging her via text message is because is the office is so difficult to get a hold of or she may not be answering the phones. I spoke with two ppl in the office when the medicine was out of stock and told them both the exact medicine dosage and address of the pharmacy that did have it in stock and that I needed the prescription written to and a whole completely different medicine was sent to a completely different pharmacy. I like the doctor and that's why I've continued as a patient but the office staff I don't feel are doing their jobs as efficiently as they should be the doctor however is super nice and I like him that is why I have continued to stay as a patient with comprehensive med psych read more

We were warned by a few people with similar needs that MedPsych is not a well run practice. Unfortunately our experience recently was absolutely unbelievlable - my wife and I are still shaking our heads. Stay very far away from this practice. In summary, though we were 20 minutes early for our appointment, our first visit with Dr. Sylvester did not end until almost 2 hours after the scheduled time. As we were leaving (in a confused state as Dr. Sylvester was still trying to wrap up our meeting in the lobby), the owner, Dr. Kanter approached us and told us that he "just needed us to leave" as he made a shooing motion with his hands - in front of other patients in the lobby! He apparently was in a hurry to have a staff meeting or something. I asked him if he felt it was our fault that our appointment was running very late....he did not respond and just told us to leave. We had not been introduced and did not know who he was at the time...I explained to him that we were waiting for the receptionist to look up a phone number for us to call a therapist in their office (apparently the therapist does his own scheduling, not his office). He again told us to "just leave". When I learned that this gentleman who "shooed" us was the owner, I was shocked. The appointment with Dr. Sylvester was a waste of time and money. We first waited half an hour past the appointment time just to meet him. Then he obsessed with a scheduling issue that they were having for the next 30 minutes (10 min in the lobby with us, then 20 in his office). So we did not start discussing my sons issue until one hour late. During the next 30 minutes the Dr. rarely made eye contact with us, and was constantly on his desktop computer and phone. From my seat I could tell he was not looking at things on his screen related to my son. He seemed very distant, not engaged at all. He asked the same simple questions more than once (he would not read the write-up I provided to him that answered all of the historical basic questions that he was asking). Just as we finally started to get into the issues, another staff person entered the office to discuss with him an unrelated matter in front of us - for the next 5-10 minutes. No apology or explanation was given. Then after about 10 minutes of somewhat productive time the Dr. said he was struggling with what he could do to help, and that he was getting pressure from his boss to wrap up the session. So he continued the dialogue as we left his office into the lobby. The shortly thereafter the owner approached us in the unprofessional manner described above. We left with no action plan or followup plan. We are not new to the psychiatric world - unfortunately our son has struggled for many years and said he was ready to get professional help again. He said this session was a waste of time and he now does not want to go back to a Dr. Much harm done. We are considering a formal complaint. read more

For the premium MedPsych charges, I expect attention to detail, follow through and urgency, which was promised, but quickly ceased post onboarding. I'm disappointed and would not recommend services from MedPsych and Dr. Paul Wurst. The administrative team had issues with follow through on notes from the doctor, follow-up regarding scheduling appointments and consistent delays with refilling prescriptions. I raised this with the doctor and team, but the same items of concern continued, without acknowledgment or remorse. Patients should be treated with more respect. read more

If I can give these folks zero stars, I would. They are all about money. Since COVID, they do their appointments online. My last appointment was July in which my doctor switched my medication. Usually they say give a new prescription a full month before changing which I did. I called my doctor letting him know I been having severe migraines and I barely could get out the bed. He told me to get my FMLA paperwork and switched my medication again. I sent his office my packet and was told everything would be completed by the end of the week for a $98 charge. I had no problem with that. Well the end of the week came and went. I contacted the office again and was told the doctor was busy all day and could not get to my paperwork. So I got a tad bit frustrated and told the office that O been waiting as I needed the paperwork to return to work. I get another call saying the doctor isn't going to fill it out as he didn't think I needed the time off for my condition. Mind you, this is almost 2 weeks later! read more

I was reluctant to keep my credit card on file but I put my trust in because I needed the services and assumed they were a reputable company. If I would have checked the reviews before hand I would have NEVER contacted them. They said they charge a $100 fee for no shows. I agreed to this and never missed an appontment. The issue though is though they over charged me twice. The first charge they refunded and the second charge they argued with me and told me to check with my insurance which I already did. I work for a healthcare benefits provider. I know what i'm covered for. I emailed my Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to them. The person I emailed then blocked my email. They finally said I would get my refund in 30-45 days. I called about 30 days later. The said the request was never submitted and I had to wait another 30-45 days. Absolutely unacceptable. They are just waiting for enough time where I can't dispute the charge with my credit card company. Please heed my warning. Don't do business with this corrupt excuse for a company. I hope Med Psychpath actually reads this review because legal action will be taken if my credit card is not taken off file. read more
