The website says their open but traveled all the way to their location before work and no one was there, doors locked and lights off. When i called a man answered very nonchalant and unprofessional just to say go somewhere else they dont have parts. Well of your non operational state that on your website instead of wasting someones time. read more

Simply AWESOME service! I have used Computer Café a handful of times now and they are exceptional! Super friendly and very responsive! I originally tried to use Geek Squad for a computer issue - and was that a huge mistake! Brought the computer to Computer Cafe and they had it fixed and ready to go within hours!! REVIEW of KOBUCHI COMPUTER (Mark K. and Tyler C)!…read more Mark and Tyler! Great job preserving and recovering data on my HP Pavilion (about 8 years old, 60GB +, bad hard drive and sectors issues). ISSUE: This was scary...my laptop started slowing down and finally said 'insert hard drive' and 'reboot disk'.. on a black screen (see pic below). Not good. I called a half dozen 'geek' repairers but the compass pointed to Kobuchi Computer Repair....reviews here sold me. Virus' was not an issue imo. As Tyler said "This is 9-5 for us." :) WHAT WAS DONE: recovering hard drive (bad), new solid state drive installed :), forensic recovery, new battery - (better than buying new as Windows 11 is not fully embraced by the industry yet) WHAT IS GREAT: Speed, speed, speed...love that. - My Google Chrome tabs / bookmarks were preserved and intact.....all WPS (word) files intact as you said. - My critical files for taxes, finance, health, spiritual, retail, real estate, etc. all are accessible as you said. - EMAIL, printer hookup good! - Most importantly (I was nervous for 3 days!) was my HR Block tax software data access.....years of data ...was it lost? ANSWER: I had to go back to email over 4 years and find HR Block downloads for 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 and get the activation codes. I registered each year again the files populated....relief! This year's taxes are about 75 pages to the fed/ 10 to the state (I don't e file) - imagine having to do it over again! FUTURE: Is there a remedy when the laptop is getting on in years and slowing down? Mark and Tyler solved it but it was ugly....Mark will attest to late night hours and data interruptions. REMEDIES: I need to do more cloud saving - Google and WPS are choices or an external hard drive (not a gamer).....a possible 2nd computer dedicated to taxes (?) ...or Mark & Tyler - just bring it back and you'll wave a wand and fix it right? I called My Computer Whiz and Nouhoum got back to me within 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. He picked up my flashdrive that night, emailed me my most important file within 48 hours, and then by Thursday afternoon dropped off a brand new hard drive with the rest of the recovered data. Saved my life - I would have been screwed for my meeting if Nouhoum wasn't able to help!!!!

I can't tell whether these people are out and out con artists or whether they're just disorganized…read moreor what. I'm not even sure there's more than one person. His name is Nouhoum Cisse. Their website says: "All our laptop repair services are based on hourly rates or upfront flat labor rates which range from $85.00 to $180.00 plus the cost of parts if required. Since the price varies on different parts from different model computers, we'll provide you with a FREE upfront computer repair price quote within 24 hours." - http://www.mycomputerwiz.net/about-us/ When I gave my computer to Mr. Cisse to be repaired I asked for a receipt. He said he'd email me one, which he did but it was lacking in detail. I asked for an estimate of cost & time needed. As quoted above, that's something they guarantee within 24 hours. I didn't get that. I was patient, I waited 2 weeks without hearing anything further. I emailed asking what was happening. I got no reply. I waited ANOTHER 2 WEEKS & desperately asked what was happening & got a phone call apologizing & asking me if I'd gotten their "ticket". I said no and I was told that they have a new ticketing system that apparently wasn't working. The laptop was returned to me that day, there was no invoice. I plugged it in where I usually worked on it and it didn't seem any different from when I sent it in for repair. I tried phoning, texting, & emailing to alert My Computer Wiz of this & got no reply. Frustrated, I put a stop payment order on the check & informed them by email that I'd done so & why I'd done so. THEN I got a phone call. Mr. Cisse called me & came back to my house & gave me the check back. In the meantime, I'd disconnected external devices from my computer and tested it again and it seemed fine now. I concluded that either it HAD been fixed or that the problem had been with the external devices from the beginning. Apologetic, I wrote another check out for the same amount. Weeks later, I was told that THAT check had been refused payment at the bank that both My Computer Wiz and I use. Apparently, they had misapplied the Stop Payment to the wrong check. I called the bank, they apologized and said they'd correct it. They didn't. Mr. Cisse claimed that the bank had charged him $40 because of this. The bank told me that either they would reimburse My Computer Wiz directly or I could reimburse him and the bank would reimburse me. I wrote out a THIRD check for the original amount and another one for the supposed bank charge. I asked for receipts from Mr. Cisse. That took entirely too long. The bank then started getting very cagey. They wanted to know where My Computer Wiz is located. I told them that I thought they have an office in Cranberry. Looking online I see they claim to have two offices but that both are only available "by appointment only". Furthermore, they only have ONE phone number between them - which happens to be Mr. Cisse's cell-phone. I found that suspicious. The bank denies that they have a $40 fee and even though I provided them with everything they asked for as proof of payment to My Computer Wiz they are denying me reimbursement. I finally got an invoice from My Computer Wiz and it's very vague. In the end, I'm not even sure they repaired the computer, their price seems basically made up, their charge for the bank fee appears false, and I'm not sure there's even a business with multiple employees. I'm still dealing with them seven weeks after they got my computer but I'll never hire them again. I know that they lost their account with my workplace and I see online that at least one other person is accusing them of fraud. BEWARE! Mr. Cisse is very friendly but then so are con artists in general, right?

I got an email and phone call the following Thursday that it was ready. Considering they're closed Sun-Wed, this was a fast turn around! I didn't owe anything extra. The lady who assisted me both times was very kind. My record player is back to normal now! This is the perfect spot to take your record player if you're having issues.

The place is well-camouflaged in a residential neighborhood. However, if you're a musician and love to use a tube amp...you need to know about this place. The repairs there are the best. The turnaround time is fast and the prices are more than fair. A few years back, I was renting some gear to a well-known touring band. One of the amps, a solid state one chosen by the rhythm guitarist, needed some serious work. It just wouldn't start up! I took it to Don @ Phil's and had it back 3 days and less than $50 later. I was so impressed, I took another amp, a 4x10 Fender tube amp, in to get the speakers looked at. They were shot. Don was going to re-cone them...but called me later with a surprise. He came across a new-in-box set of original replacements. Parts and labor? $200. That's nothing for a job like this! I've since taken a few amps there. Need an organ fixed? He can do that too. A friend had a Hammond C3 redone there. Cool old TV or Hi Fi or antique radio? He can fix those. Need that impossible to find vintage tube or capacitor? Chances are he has it...possibly a box of them. Its like stepping back to the mid 60s walking in there. Its not flashy at all. Just lots of shelves with tubes and stuff. Tube testers. Stacks of projects lined up. It's a gear-head's dream in there. This place is the real deal and best of all, Don is as honest as they come. His prices are unbelievably fair. He's also a musician and a really interesting guy to talk to. Every time I stop in, I lose at least an hour or more. If you need the work done...go to Phil's. You can tell him I sent you but you don't have to. You'll be glad you went there!
