We picked up the laptop and brought it home. Several days later, we were contacted by the owner (Ilhan) who expressed concerns. He (Ilhan) had us take that laptop to another location to be shipped to his recommended technician in New Jersey. Spoke with the owner today and it seems we need some additional inspection. He has someone in New York who has more experience. I am impressed by the follow up. I will update.

I needed a new battery for my iPhone and was told by AT&T that this place would replace it for free…read morethrough their warranty program. When I walked in, I was greeted quickly and the individual at the desk was friendly and informative. He was able to quickly locate my warranty claim but then told me that I would have to come in later that day because they didn't have batteries for the iPhone 12 (but that more were supposed to be delivered that day). He said he would call when they received the delivery, but by the time I got back to my car, I had a call that someone cancelled a replacement or something and I could come right back in. They told me that my screen would likely crack during the repair and asked for my OK to repair that if that was the case (which thankfully, was also covered under the warranty). I then had to leave my phone and was told to come back in 2 hours. It is funny how much you don't realize you rely on your phone for certain things until you don't have it in your possession (like getting gas at Sams club or even checking the time). I went back and my phone was ready. However, the battery was only charged to about 15%. He said that was common with new batteries, that they don't come fully charged and that I shouldn't worry. I do wonder, though, if they put a dud battery in because yes, it does fully charge, but it takes FOREVER to charge now, even when I use a "high speed" charger. I also have issues with standard charging cables working well when plugged in. I'm wondering if something happened when they were putting the phone back together. Overall, they did what they said they would do in the time that was promised, the staff was friendly, but I'm just not convinced of the quality of the products they use in the replacement. Side note - the store reeked of pot. But that could have been from a customer and not staff as the smell was less intense when I came back to pick up my phone.

I called several times after days went by about this because no calls about the problem, or if a part was ordered or any status about my phone until I called and asked. When calling the person took forever to look up my order and at times put me on hold for too long. I hung up one time and another time the person said I'll call you back. Nothing mentioned in my receipt about any problems with my phone or any part or repairs done. My phone was returned with 0% percent battery and when I eventually got it charged some it was in "maintenance mode". So, after restarting it looks like my phone is still having the same issues with "searching for service". I noticed that I wasn't charged for anything so can I assume that nothing was done as well? I was told that there was a cost of $130 and was expecting to pay that when I picked up my phone. So, I am confused. So asked for and is currently waiting to hear back from them.

REVIEW of KOBUCHI COMPUTER (Mark K. and Tyler C)!…read more Mark and Tyler! Great job preserving and recovering data on my HP Pavilion (about 8 years old, 60GB +, bad hard drive and sectors issues). ISSUE: This was scary...my laptop started slowing down and finally said 'insert hard drive' and 'reboot disk'.. on a black screen (see pic below). Not good. I called a half dozen 'geek' repairers but the compass pointed to Kobuchi Computer Repair....reviews here sold me. Virus' was not an issue imo. As Tyler said "This is 9-5 for us." :) WHAT WAS DONE: recovering hard drive (bad), new solid state drive installed :), forensic recovery, new battery - (better than buying new as Windows 11 is not fully embraced by the industry yet) WHAT IS GREAT: Speed, speed, speed...love that. - My Google Chrome tabs / bookmarks were preserved and intact.....all WPS (word) files intact as you said. - My critical files for taxes, finance, health, spiritual, retail, real estate, etc. all are accessible as you said. - EMAIL, printer hookup good! - Most importantly (I was nervous for 3 days!) was my HR Block tax software data access.....years of data ...was it lost? ANSWER: I had to go back to email over 4 years and find HR Block downloads for 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 and get the activation codes. I registered each year again the files populated....relief! This year's taxes are about 75 pages to the fed/ 10 to the state (I don't e file) - imagine having to do it over again! FUTURE: Is there a remedy when the laptop is getting on in years and slowing down? Mark and Tyler solved it but it was ugly....Mark will attest to late night hours and data interruptions. REMEDIES: I need to do more cloud saving - Google and WPS are choices or an external hard drive (not a gamer).....a possible 2nd computer dedicated to taxes (?) ...or Mark & Tyler - just bring it back and you'll wave a wand and fix it right?
