On Friday, April 4 between 4:30 and 4:45, I made the mistake of calling these people to try to find out if the sold a carrying case I could use for my 21.5 inch screen desktop I-Mac. I am moving from Altadena, CA to Denver, CO. The reason for the move is that our home and all our belongings -- except what we could hastily carry out in our emergency evacuation -- were lost in the Eaton Canyon Fire on the night of Jan. 7. At the present time I'm staying with friends in Northridge. The jerk I talked to seemed to think my request was absurd and laughable. He said I should take the computer to UPS and have them wrap and send it. He also said I should have it insured, because, in his words, "They'll break it." He seemed think this was funny and laughed about it. Needless to say, I wasn't amused. This isn't the way you treat potential customers. If could, I'd give the bunch a -1 star score. Tim C. This is the second positive review I'm leaving for this business, and it's well-deserved. I spoke with Michael today and our business was having printer issues. We have been repeat costumers of CC for years and have purchased many printers, and printer kits from them. Anyway - Michael was gracious enough to help me connect our printer to the new modem/ router we had installed. He took 30 min out of his extremely busy day to help me out, guiding me through the set up process. This kind of service is what the world is all about. Maybe 15 years ago I had Computer Condiments service my HP 2200d laser printer. They did a great job and were very honest. Cary is still there and in the last year I bought 2 printers -- one for the office, one for the home office. I am very impressed with the printers and deeply appreciate Cary's patience with me. I have been working with Computer Condiments for many years now and these are the absolutely best technicians anywhere in California and perhaps in the whole United States!!! Cary Scheck helped me set up a brand new computer from scratch and handled a multitude of problems along the way. One particularly hard problem Cary solved was getting my Lexmark Scanner to work. The difficult problem was part of my scanner was not functioning properly. The Scanner had some problems but Cary did a work around and wrote some software to get it working. He also had to get the right program since Windows 10 had deleted the program he needed. He also set me up with a Carbonite programs that backs up my work regularly. I was also helped by Michael Randall and he got my Thunderbird email working and my Drop Box I use daily working properly - solving many hick-ups along the way. Previously Michael discovered my computer was infected with many viruses and Michael decided we had to completely wipe the Solid State Drive and begin all over from scratch. Michael helped me set up all of my programs and got everything working again and I was very gratefule for his excellent and skillful help! Any other technician would have likely given up but not Cary or Michael. Both of these technicians are truly amazing and we are lucky as customers to be able to have access to such brilliant people to help us solve our computer problems. What was even better was that my final bills were always very VERY reasonable - and I know they worked more hours for me than they charged me for!! What more could you ask for? We started using Cary 25 years ago for printer toner, because he sold it at a great price. Overtime we realized that he really knew how to build great computers that lasted a long time. He has built all of our desktop and servers from over twenty years. All of the service by Computer Condiments is excellent, and if there is a problem with any of computers, networks, software, he is here quickly and solves the problem. He is very good at telling us not only what to buy, but when to buy it. We have a computer intensive business, and if the computers are down, all the work stops. This rating is based on service I received over the phone. My older but originally expensive Lexmark color laser multi-function printer needed service, so I called Computer Condiments (they are an authorized repair company, per Lexmark's website). I was transferred to "Mark," who gave me a fair repair estimate, and he also suggested something I could try on my own to fix the problem. Mark also let me know the purchase price of the same printer, reconditioned including a 1-year warranty. His information helped me to make up my mind about what to do. Assuming their repair service is commensurate with the knowledgeable and helpful assistance I received over the phone, I rate them 5 stars. read more

They custom build most of the machines they sell (killer machines for gamers, too). If you want really smart, honest guys who know what they're doing, call these folks. I've been dealing with Cary for about 30 plus years and bought many computers, printers etc from him. The last computer he built for me was an XP in 2003 which I'm writing this Review on. I was going to buy my mother a photo copier some 25-30 years ago and I order one from Cary. I went in to see how it was doing and he said he canceled the order. I said WHY??? Go to a place in Canoga Park and buy the same exact same thing there for $100 less that they were selling it for less that he could buy it for. I can't remember the place's name. I just placed an order with Cary for a new Lenovo Lap top for my wife and a desk top for myself and gave him my credit card and I don't even know what the price is. Yes I could probably shop it to death and buy it some where else and get a better deal but I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER GET BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HONESTY. Cary really knows his stuff. read more
