I took the computer into PCS&S and they performed a diagnostic and determined I would need a new keyboard. It is cheaper to replace a keyboard than a whole computer. What impressed me was how professional they were. All pricing was discussed up front. They were very friendly and welcoming, and always discussed what they would do and how long it would take. I was able to drop my computer off in the morning and they finished work by the afternoon. They have a strict confidentiality code, which is important when working with sensitive material. So my MacBook Pro 2022 got exposed to water and the battery would not charge after 2 weeks (worked fine until I tried to charge it with cord) but laptop would work plugged in. I took to Apple Genius Bar and after I revealed it had been exposed to water it went from replacing battery (remember computer works perfectly plugged in) to "we will need to do a full diagnostic and likely it's going to be bad. The diagnostic we are looking at is approximately $1,200. But a new MacBook Air is $2000. (Pro was way more). So you'd be better off spending $2,000 on a new one than fixing your 2 year old MacBook you just paid off in full." So I just said that I have electronics on my AHS policy and I will just try my insurance. Then she ran to get me a quote to submit to my insurance as above. Felt so inauthentic. So l left. Called my insurance company American Home Shield and they do not cover "accidents". Soooooo.... I googled computer battery replacement. I was thinking I would do it myself!! But you have to get a special tool kit and the battery and it seems ridiculous. So I googled and found this business that fixed my relatively new laptop at 15% of what Apple quoted me saying I should just buy a new one from them or downgrade to a MacBook Air to "break even. " I spent $250 here and things are back normal, working.Computer battery replaced and compartments with water damage replaced. read more

These guys are super professional and affordable. Exactly what you need from a PC repair place. I was having difficulty with my network card on my laptop, and since I'm currently working from home that was a "no go". Staples was going to charge me $189.99 just to look at it and Best Buy was going to charge $99.99. PC Repai? $59.99 AND that gets applied to any eventual repair work you have done. They ended up doing a general clean up and malware/virus removal on the computer for an additional $20.00. I came back, and got my laptop back. They did an excellent job of offering me other options as well (a new hard drive and a Windows reinstall for $170.00) and I never felt pressured to go for any of the other options. They did an excellent job of explaining the situation and making me feel like I was making the decisions. They do have a parking lot in the back that they validate for. They are open during COVID, but be warned, that means they aren't letting people into the actual store so I ended up standing out o. The sidewalk for about 20 minutes.
