Today I met Trevor and Tanner, two employees working at the Best Buy express in Leamington Ontario,…read moreI came in asking for one thing: the newest iPad available. I even showed the employee a picture of the exact model. They pointed out it was from the U.S. site (so they were fully aware of that before my purchase)... yet instead of clarifying what options were actually available in Canada, they still gave me the wrong generation. At no point did they show me the four versions that exist, or bother confirming what I actually wanted. Instead, they admitted later they had simply assumed I wanted the cheapest option. Imagine that.. walking into a tech store asking for the newest model, and walking out with last year's product because an employee couldn't be bothered to do their job. When I went back to correct their mistake, I was met with excuses: * "We thought you just wanted something cheap." Wrong. I made it clear I wanted the newest iPad, multiple times. * They didn't even offer a protection plan. Another neglected responsibility. I repeated myself multiple times, and I even had to say "Shall we check the security footage?" before they started backpedaling. Only then did they reluctantly offer a refund. This wasn't just a simple mix-up. It was a failure to listen, a failure to present options, and a complete disregard for proper customer service. If your employees assume instead of confirm, ignore the actual product request, and push excuses instead of solutions, what exactly is the point of shopping here? I came in ready to buy the newest iPad. I left with wasted time, an unnecessary argument, and a reminder that this location values assumptions and excuses over accountability and customer care.
