Highly recommended…read more I've come here twice now to service my Dell XPS 8500, which I bought in January 2013. The first time was to replace a failed hard drive early in the pandemic, which was done fairly quickly and inexpensively. Then, two or three weeks ago, the computer started freezing. The first few times, I could restart it after a few attempts. I went a few days with no freezing, then the problem worsened: It would turn on, but Windows wouldn't load. I was already going to get a new computer anyway, due to Microsoft ending support for Windows 10. (My computer wasn't compatible with Windows 11--or so I was led to believe by the internet.) It's an almost 13-year-old computer at this point. But I figured I may as well see if it can be salvaged, so I can keep it around at least as a backup. To my surprise, Alex was able to not only diagnose the problem (a failed graphics card), but was able to install a newer graphics card that made the computer compatible with Windows 11. So now, I don't have to rush to buy a new computer, and can likely keep this around a lot longer than I previously thought I could. All this for $130. Thank you, Alex!

Mark was quick to respond and very helpful. In clueless when it comes to the model number and all on my laptop so he helped me figure out where to find numbers so I can better identify the costs. I dropped the laptop off on a Friday and it was fixed by Tuesday. I live off of my laptop because I'm in graduate school and need it for my education, so the time it took to be repaired was alot quicker then I expected-- which I am very pleased about. Met Mark in his home in Parkwood and showed him what needed to be fixed. He went downstairs and checked on pricing for the part and shipping costs and originally quoted me $100 for the job- then said it would be an additional 25 because of shipping costs or whatever.. . which I didn't mind because it was still a way cheaper quote then I received from others. I ended up paying 125 versus 180-250 that others had quoted me and I'm very happy because although I need my laptop to be in the best shape. I honestly didn't wanna pay that much.
