She ran an update on it and then couldn't start her phone. Dtown Tech took a look at it, determined that something caused the update to not complete. They completed the update and restarted her phone. It took just a few minutes and they didn't charge me. Those few minutes they gave me could've been spent on a billable project for them. The guy ran around and sugar coated and low balled me for $15 for corsair 8gb 4x2 1333mhz ram, A-Data 8GB (4x2) 1600mhz, and I quote from his mouth "A piece of s*** laptop" Asus 2.4gz Intel celeron dual core 4gb of ram and a 256gb crucial solid state drive that I installed in there because my aunt gave me a laptop to repair and I didn't have the proof of purchase for it, but I did for the ram. That's fine. He apparently was getting agitated because I was knowledgable about hardware, and since I'm an Engineer, and have been an IT professional for the past 11 years I was respectful, calm, and strictly doing business about the items I had on hand. I am a customer who actually knows their stuff. I then said, "I know what you're doing - buying this stuff cheap so you can profit from it, and I'm aware and cool with that, but you're talking about a reputation for what? I don't know? All I asked for was an offer that I asked for two times, and you gave me an offer for 15 bucks and being not interested is not clear. Business is not business without going back and forth and working out a deal. That's part of the job. The guy not only disrespected me, he yelled at me, and kicked me out of his non business like shop. I said, "Wow!! You're kicking me out!?" I grabbed my things and then he slammed the door behind me!! I would call you sir, but you're nothing more than a flea. You're a loose cannon and most likely bipolar. Very unprofessional, especially when this guy had a client in the shop while I was in there to witness what happened. I went across the street to the other shop to sell the same items and the computer world shop on street road and both of them were very professional and also said bad things about you and said you've also yelled at them to give you business. This is part of the computer world dude. You fix, you sell, you deal with people giving you business through referrals no matter what it is. Don't be an a**h***!!!

If you are looking for a place that sends your laptop to Florida to fix, doesn't provide any…read moreupdates and when you ask for someone to call you back they don't, requires you to call each week for two months just to get the run around there is no update....then this is your place where the laptop doesn't get fixed either!! I understand sometimes there is no update, but there should have been communication as to why diagnostics were taking so long, what motherboard chip was ordered, how long it takes to receive, when turnaround time would be to install. After all that, my laptop was sent back from Florida since the chip would take a month to receive from China. This place said the chip was ordered 7/30, mind you they had my laptop since 7/1. That was my only update for weeks. They never even asked me if I wanted to wait for the chip! Now I'm asking for a refund and guess what, no one is calling me back. The district manager Ashley has to review...well ok, how long does that take...another few months?! It is not asking too much for a customer to be provided updates and calls are returned in 24 hours and options are provided to resolve an issue. This place demonstrates exactly how not to run a business.

One other computer repair place said it was unfixable and I'd have to transfer the hard drive to a new computer which would have cost 500 bucks and it would have been better to just buy a whole new computer at that point. Terrible…read more Unfortunately this company broke my device on two separate occasions and when I contacted them for a full refund, I did not receive a response. (As a warning, if you contact this company via email and they respond via call, RECORD YOUR CALL. They will more than likely not respond to your email to avoid liability.) The first incident, their employee Mike, mentioned in the email below, completely broke my touch screen. The second incident, the owner Andre did not fix it correctly/damaged it further and now my camera doesn't work. My device was new and had no damage until they worked on it. When the device was picked up after the owner "fixed" it, he said "they don't really do computer repair, they focus on data management for large companies". If that's the case, why market yourself as a repair shop? Why are there multiple complaints about the same employee damaging multiple devices? Attached is the email I sent this company after the first incident Hello. I am writing to share my unfortunate experience with your a2b technologies staff member, Mike. "I have a Lenovo laptop in your possession that needed a replacement screw. After the service to my device, my touchscreen to my laptop no longer worked. This laptop is relatively new and is primarily used for my master's degree program courses. After receiving my laptop from Mike, I noticed that the touchscreen function was no longer working. This feature was working prior to the service. After speaking with your employee, my significant other and I returned to your business, and I explained that the function was working perfectly prior to the service. Mike was not apologetic nor did he take accountability for his mistake. He originally tried to suggest the screen may have burned out, which was not the case. This staff member also asked if the touch screen was an essential function, insinuating that he was aware that he damaged my device and chose not to disclose that information. Again, this is a relatively new laptop, and the touchscreen function was working prior to the service. We dropped the laptop off for a second time on Friday, February 27th for the damage caused by your employee to be accessed. Mike informed us that he would give us a call on Monday March 2nd. We did not receive a call until the following day. He spoke with both I and my significant other regarding the state of my device. When speaking to my significant other, Mike mumbled a comment along the lines of "yeah, we don't need to tell my boss..." Mike is not aware that his comment was heard. Mike attempted to disregard the damage he caused again prior to being reminded that there was no damage prior to the service. Once that was mentioned, he completely switched to another excuse. I then called Mike personally. When I called, I asked for contact information for a manager. It is very apparent that he did not want to give me that information because his first response was "is there anything I can help you with?" I proceeded to say "no, but I'd like to have contact information for a manager." He then said that it would just be a contact support email. I then asked for a name, and he said "Andre" and when I asked for a last name he loudly sighed. I informed him that his behavior was very unprofessional and reiterated that my screen was not damaged prior to his work. During the call, your employee proceeded to yell and speak over top of me. He refused to listen to any of my concerns and then switched to the topic of "having a breathing and nose problem" and that was his alleged reasoning behind sighing in annoyance. I don't necessarily believe that was the cause for that nor do I believe it's an excuse for the "yeah, we don't need to tell my boss..." comment either. He also made a negative comment regarding me sending an email and that it would essentially get sent to customer support..."
