A few weeks later, the screen shattered from a fall of less than a meter - onto a wooden floor - with a protective case on. I returned and was charged another €200 for a second replacement. This time, they added a screen protector - something they should have done in the first place. Not long after, a blue inky patch appeared on the top left of the screen and gradually spread, making the phone completely unusable. Crucially, the phone had not been dropped, hit, or damaged in any way after the second repair. When I went back, they made me wait over an hour while the phone was supposedly being "assessed" (it just sat untouched on a desk). Eventually, I was told I'd need another new screen--and that it wasn't their fault after spending EU550 with them on two screens. Ended up getting it fixed properly by another provider for €150. Bottom line: Terrible customer service, poor-quality parts, and you'll find better prices and reliability elsewhere. Avoid ExpressTech at all costs.

The main guy Julian is very friendly, helpful, thorough and flexible with collection and drop off times. Free diagnostics are a real draw too. Once due to needing to run extensive tests on my macbook they moved the hardrive to another macbook they had at the shop which I was then able to bring home so my working week wasn't interrupted. Just one example of the resourceful hands on touch approach that you wouldn't get in the big vendors in town. I reckon I've saved myself alot of money and prolonged the life of my computer considerably by popping in here regularly over the last three years.

They proceeded to inform me that the screen was "shocking quality, I'm not surprised it broke even with the case and tempered glass on". This screen now has lasted me since this time and the only reason I have decided to write this review now is I went in to see if they would trade it in and I could potentially buy a better model. They obviously remembered me as one greeted me upon entry by saying "No man, not again?" They didn't have any phones to my fancy and after leaving I thought about it and I'm glad I didn't do business with them again as they like to see repeat business obviously!

Update: 2/11/14: Just over nine weeks in and still no phone or contact from them. Update: 7/11/14: They contacted me for the first time!!! No, it's not fixed but they excitedly tell me that they have a batch of battery pack chargers for me to charge the battery externally outside the phone. I hand over €20 for this cheap looking generic charger. No, it's actually €50. But they gave me €5 discount for them having my phone 10 weeks. How generous. No more than two hours total to charge the battery they tell me. After trying it when I got back, it's actually over 12 hours to get the battery to 78%. Have since seen the same charger on amazon for £3.24 since. Also, whatever they were doing with my phone when they had it, they damaged my samsung battery, with the top of the battery lose, I only bought it about a week before I dropped it into them. Ineptitude at it's worst. Surely, they haven't been in this job long because they don't seem to have a clue. DO NOT GO HERE.

Paid the cost to get it repaired. 2 days later, my phone fell from the couch from a hight of no more than 2 feet on to wooden floor and the screen cracked again. Having had iphones since they have been released I know the durability of the screens. This should not have happened. I then reenacted the exact fall of the phone with another iphone 5, knowing sure that the screen wouldn't crack and it didn't. Within an hour my phone was completely unusable, I couldn't open or close it. This would never happen with an original iphone screen. I arrived on monday morning to 511 tech solutions, and the person who deals with phone damage was not present. I then arrived back the following morning at 9.30am and the shop was closed. The shop was then finally opened 30 minutes late. When I explained what had happened with my phone, I was told I was going to have to pay 60 euro to fix the screen. I will never use tech solutions in future, the standard of their products are completely below par and their customer service is atrocious.
