I have no idea what kind of service this guy provides but when I recently parked in a handicapped parking spot to go to the restaurant on the end of the small strip mall he came out of his store and shouted at me that I parked in one of his designated parking slots. After he told me that, I noticed a small sign saying those spots were reserved for his store and the barber shop directly in front of where I parked. Just moments before he came out, I greeted the barber shop owner and she didn't say anything about me parking there and I even told her we were going to the restaurant. After I told the computer shop guy that we were parked in a designated handicapped spot and were displaying a valid handicapped sticker he said to move my car or he'd call a tow truck. All of the parking spots directly in front of his business were empty. I did move my car but I can only imagine the bedside manner he has with his customers and now I'll never find out. read more

Meh. Was having some issues w/ my 2015 era macbook (trackpad stopped working) and based on previous reviews, I brought it here for diagnostics and repair. Explained to me up front that I would probably need to replace the battery and an additional part due to the possibility of incidental damage during the process of accessing trackpad. Ok, no problem, new parts are a good thing--battery wasn't holding a charge well anyways. Quoted me ~$230-250 up front for parts + labor. Agreed to it. Didn't get an estimated diagnostic or fix date, so I called after I got home and asked. Track pad and ribbon "pretty quick" and battery "a little longer" due to ground shipment requirements. Understood. "Should have everything by the end of the week". I dropped it off on a Monday. Thurs or Fri rolled around so I called for an update, "...nothing yet, should have the parts by Mon or Tues next wk". Got it. Eventually got the trackpad working (so they say) and battery swapped out...but got a call saying that "now the keyboard isn't working...gonna need to hang on to it." 2 days later, I call...what's up with my laptop?! "[via phone]...well, I had a buddy that's been working on apple products for 20 years look at it yesterday and he couldn't fix the keyboard either. I'm just gonna charge you for the parts". Just wanting my laptop back, so agree to it. Wife picks up laptop next day, can't turn it on...[needs usb keyboard, duh!] Not sure how I feel about the whole transaction. I'm told the trackpad works and I have a new battery, but now my keyboard doesn't work. He tried making it right by not charging $100 for labor (pd $150-160ish for parts), but at the end of the day...I think I'd rather have to use a usb mouse vs. a usb keyboard. Side note: the shop smells like an old casino, even through a face mask. Don't linger too long. read more

We took my laptop in, which was virtually falling apart. We were told by other repair services that the computer could not be repaired and we would have to buy a new one. Phillip was nice enough to come out to our truck to take the computer in, as we are concerned about the Coronavirus. And, alas, two days later, we were called to come and pick the computer up because it was fixed. Wow! We couldn't believe it! We went down and picked up the computer, again outside, and got a bill that we could not believe because it was so low. Phillip will absolutely go the extra mile for his customers and give them a beyond-reasonable price for his services. My computer now works like a new one. He gets five stars from us! read more

I was in a bind and needed some very specific part for equipment that I KNEW Lowe's would NOT have. I called Phillip of Computer Shack 29 minutes before he closed and explained my situation and he told me to come on by and we would see if he could do anything for me. I arrived there 15 minutes before he closed and he had an array of options already prepared for me. He got me the parts that I needed and gave them to me for FREE!!!!!!!!! What big box store would have done that? NONE. I can't tell you how happy I am with the service here and I can't recommend this shop highly enough. read more

I can not thank Philip enough for his help fixing my computer. He not only took INCREDIBLY care of my computer, but didn't charge for installation of a power supply. Other companies charge for EVERYTHING including installation, and diagnosis. I will definitely be back to not only get repair of my computer, but to purchase items. read more
