I've worked with other immigration lawyers in the past and no one has compared to the true dedication Pyrus Law has shown to our case. I never write reviews but felt like this one was very much needed. Immigration cases can be stressful and finding the right lawyer really helps with the stress. Although we may not be done with the process, we have had a great experience so far and I truly recommend Pyrus Law.

My husband and I retained Jennifer's services for our Adjustment of Status process for the K1 Fiance Visa and we could not be happier with the results. Prior to Jennifer, during our K1 journey, we worked with another attorney who truly made us feel less than for asking questions. We did not feel supported or heard. With Jennifer, it was the complete opposite, she was always happy to schedule a time to chat and honestly, she explained the process so thoroughly that most of the time we didn't even need to schedule additional meetings. Jennifer and Litha (Jennifer's Paralegal and Case Manager) were both so wonderful and supportive throughout our journey and just so helpful in consolidating everything we sent them into comprehensively, well-put together documents for our case. Jennifer even thoroughly explained the interview process to us and ran a mock interview with us so we were fully prepared before our actual interview. We will be going back to Jennifer for all our future immigration needs. (P.S.- what initially sold me on Jennifer was that she has a page on her website dedicated to Strongi Chang Cheung, the firm's very own Parabeagle. As an avid dog lover, I automatically fell in love with Strongi and knew in my gut that Jennifer was the right person to handle our case, and I'm so glad I trusted my gut and we went with her.)

I have worked with many lawyers, and none have been as responsive and helpful as Mark. Whatever situation you may be in, I'd advise giving Mark a call-- he won't let you down.

I have to admit that it was hard to understand what he was saying, but didn't want to hold that against him as an attorney. He seem sympathetic to what I was going through, and said that I had a strong case. We ended the call with Mark asking that he review a bit further, and would follow up in a couple of days. After that, nothing. No call, email... nothing. I sent a follow up email. No response. So I called and Mark answered. I reminded him of who I was and my case, and all he had to say was that he decided not to take this case. That's it. I asked why he came to this decision after telling me in the initial call that I had a strong case. He just replied that he didn't have the time. I hung up and wondered if it had to do with potential restitution not being big enough for him, and/or, he's just not a professional attorney. Calling the SF Bar Association now to file a complaint and see if they can refer me to someone more considerate and professional. Highly recommend seeking someone else if you need legal consult.

I'm not sure how they are getting 5 star ratings, but it definitely fooled me when I hired them…read moreback in May of last year. Let me be clear, the negative reviews seem much more realistic as I experienced identical stuff with them. Long story short, they did nothing for me after I took them as representation and made payment. When I mean nothing, I mean literally anything outside of filing normal paperwork, they simply didn't do. Want a suggestion? Get ready to pay them thousands for a quick meeting. Writing an email to them? Better hope they don't need to go to the bathroom in between because you will pay for that time. Another reviewer states it perfectly : "there team was working on my case, which means everyone needed to be aware of the status, and I was paying each of them". This times a million is so accurate!! Every month I would get a new bill with charges I couldn't make sense of, and half of those charges were one team member discussing with another about my case... like seriously?? In the end, I think I payed close to $15k for the 8 months I had them!! 15k!! And mind you, we never went to court or anything. It was literally just email replies and filing paperwork. I told them from the beginning I was trying to be conservative with funds and wanted to end this asap, and they asked for a $4k retainer acting like that would be all I need. They weren't upfront about future costs or options I could make. How in world did I have to replenish another $11k in addition is beyond me. Straight up scammed by thieves. **edit : one thing I wanted to clarify, their rates look somewhat reasonable, well at least for Palo Alto region standards.. hence why I was suckered. But it's not the rate that's the issue per se, rather, it's how they charge you each month based off these rates (see above note on how they charge discussions between team members). My previous lawyer (worst move ever leaving them for this one) charged me 1/4th of what they did, and we actually went to court. This firm will make you suffer with endless costs and charge you thousands each month when there is NO movement in your case.
