First, you must beware when you are being given items to take home for care, such as braces and splints. They now partner with See the Trainer in Bellevue. You sign the authorization with no clue as to the price, and the nurses do not know either. Then, 6 weeks later, you receive a bill for an outrageous amount. In my case, it was a $79 bill for a brace that cost $26.57 on Amazon. On top of that, I was seen (same visit, mind you) for a ankle injury. I was told that when the nurse practitioner looked at the x-rays, it was severely sprained and that I should feel better in "a couple weeks." A few days later, I found it odd that I had not received a follow-up call (as usual, when the specialist reviews the x-rays). I called and requested that it be looked at. Turns out, I had fractured my ankle and the bone was chipped on the side, with a recovery time of 6-8 weeks. Had I never called back, I may never have known this. If you are paying the price for an urgent care, the service needs to be better. And over the last year or two, it has declined. Sure the building is new and looks awesome, but when I am in an urgent care, I am more concerned with the quality of treatment than the awesomeness of the waiting area. I will be going to UNMC from now on.

They didn't have the X-Ray machines that Google said they did, but the staff pointed us in the right direction to their location that did. The people behind the desk were very friendly when we told them the situation, and they lamented with us about it. (FYI - it ended up being that his foot was actually broken, once we got the scan! Ah!) Even though we didn't end up becoming patients of this urgent care, we did get to experience the great and helpful attitude of the staff. So I will definitely return here, if we do ever have another urgent care need!

Apparently someone mixed up my insurance information from the way it sounded; after I rebutted and requested more information about their claim. Instead of correcting their mistake, they blamed me, billing me instead of submitting it properly to the insurance companies. Very disheartening. Being refused care after being wrongly blamed by the receptionist was very disheartening. I knew that I didn't owe them any money. Then she claimed they use a third party billing agency, so there was nothing they could do about it, and I would have to go elsewhere for care. If I were them, I would re-think their billing strategy. And to think I had highly recommended their clinic in the past to others! Not any more. This is one of the reasons I won't submit care quality questionnaires after clinic visits anymore. One just never knows how they might be treated in the future. Bad experience. If they had handled the situation differently, and corrected their problem, or at least been willing to do so, I would have considered continuing giving them my business. The PA seemed good there. Makes me sad.

There was luckily no wait here and we were checked in right away and I just had to fill out a few consent forms and upload my drivers license and insurance card. The waiting area was small but had some toys and books and crayons to occupy our children. After completing forms, we were brought back to a room immediately and provided basic info to a staff member. After a few more minutes, the provider, Nicole, was awesome and very friendly to our boys. She got us in and out quickly with a prescription sent immediately to our pharmacy. There was a basket of lollipops and stickers as we exited that we took advantage of as a reward to our children.

I had an MRI scheduled for the next morning for another unrelated condition. I was still coughing frantically and my breathing sounded like a death rattle so I thought I should come in. The pollen count was high and the air quality that week was extremely bad. I've been to urgent care or the ER multiple times in my life but never have I left feeling the same or worse as when I came in. They renewed Rx I already had that weren't working b/c I was already beyond that point. I asked about the breathing treatment I used to get in the past that they now don't do anymore since Covid which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I did get a script for an at-home nebulizer which took me another day or two to arrange which did help in the long run
