I came in and filled out some medical and personal paperwork Robin asked me some questions and I swear I was out of my seat and getting started in 5 minutes. She was wonderful explaining everything that was going to happen and why before. She told me it was going to be loud and last for an hour and i could not move at all. She asked about the temperature of the room for me. pillows my position, what radio station I wanted. It was obvious she really cared. Afterwards she brought me back to the tv room and showed me my whole back in the scan. OMG how freaking cool. She had a cd and the next morning I had a neurologist report on it. I dont want anyone to have to go here as its probably because something is wrong. But if you need any kind of medical scan this is for sure the place to do it. I might break my leg to go back :).... hehehe JK

I wake…read moreup every day in excruciating pain and take pills over the course of the day that barely make a dent in the pain. I cry all morning and wish for death some days, like today. I have been trying to find out why it is taking an entire week to read an MRI, so I called AMI and explained my situation. I had been weeping continuously all morning from the pain and I was at my wits end. I still am. The first woman I spoke to was kind and caring and she gave me hope. But then I spoke to her supervisor who was more interested in blame-shifting than showing even a crumb of understanding or empathy or offering to help in any way. It was really sad to see. The US healthcare system is a devastating landmine field of red tape bureaucracy made possible by a lot of people who don't seem to care about anyone other than themselves. I fear we are doomed medically speaking here in the US at this point.
