This urgent care specializes in workers comp issues, from what I understand. However, I was here because I felt that I didn't get the care I needed after two ER visits in a night (long story). I felt the personnel here were attentive and helpful on all fronts for my needs in that moment, more so than the ER was for my specific needs. One star off only because the order I got for a needed service was missing key information to complete the order. I had to physically go back to the clinic to get this resolved since I had trouble completing this over the phone. I don't think this was for lack of care, however. This clinic seems to be a busy operation, and I think the provider that could make the change was busy. Overall, VERY thankful I went here. It literally saved me a ton of stress and anxiety to feel like I was getting the care I need, and to feel like I had all my bases covered. read more

When I arrived for my tuberculosis shot there was no one available to administer. I was told that the lobotomist would be arriving in 20 minutes. I left 30 minutes later because there was no lobotomist. I returned to the facility hoping to be administered my TB test quickly. When I was taken back to the lab for the test the lobotomist had to leave the room because she forgot to fill out paperwork. I've been waiting in the room for about 20 minutes now, this is totally unacceptable. I can understand why this facility receives less than two stars. Totally understand and under trained. I've had a good experience at Concentra Urgent Care 1212 S Broadway. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff had a good attitude and helped me to my PT location right away. The front desk lady in PT is very nice with a smile that's s welcoming. The facility itself was well-equipped, and designed to make patients feel comfortable and supported. The physical therapy team was good and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was positive. Thanks to their expertise and encouragement, I've regained a lot of my strength and mobility. Parking may be a little difficult to find. The most frustrating part of visiting this location was the customer service upon arrival. I felt disrespected when communicating with a few of the staff members in the lobby area. It was apparent that they were having bad days when observing them interacting with all of the visitors coming in. Once inside to complete a physical, etc, the customer service moved back up to decent. The employees working inside were fast and to the point. They are the reason this was not a one star review from the initial greeting. I most likely will never return to this location. I would rather drive a few extra miles to visit somewhere else with a better vibe inside. Upper management should be more involved to help rectify the proper customer service. This was . a preemployment screening, including a drug test, and supposedly a DOT physical I had driven several million miles and I had never had a moving violation nor had an accident During these many years, I have had many DOT physicals and mini DOT drug tests. . The problem here was it was the drug test. This was handled as well as one might expect; however, the problem is with the clinic overall in the doctor. . The doctor didn't ask me any questions that would indicate asleep problem I had once been a professional athlete, and my neck is muscular and thick This is not part of the DOT exam. I was forced to strip naked; then the doctor immediately started measuring my neck. . Because the neck is 17 inches, he decided I needed a sleep test. This is somewhat of a scam used by the worst of clinics so that they can make money monitoring CPAP machines. It could end up costing the individual a few thousand dollars initially..... and there's really no justification for it because I've had an exemplary career driving ....my safety is second to none Doctors, via their own incompetence, can often damage driver careers. I noticed Concentra had a 1.9 star rating out of 5 stars This demonstrates that ... although this was the lowest rating for a clinic I have ever seen... other drivers must have had a much higher opinion of this clinic than me. When you have a situation where the doctor does not ask any questions whatsoever about sleep activity, and simply goes by the circumference of the neck.... in my expert opinions.... there is an incredible lack of knowledge and integrity by the doctor, including the clinic as well I was intimidated by someone who was there a Concentra in a very frightening way, and I told him that I was going to complain, and he said complain all you want. . I already had a two year medical card and I had taken the exam a couple months earlier. I decided right then that any company that would send me to a degrading and toxic clinic such as Concentra on Broadway..... does not respect the driver in any way. I noticed from the DOT that this was a very small company sending me to Concentra, with less than 44 vehicles, and yet this small company had two drivers dead. My thought is that if you ever have a company send you to Concentra on Broadway... quit‼. Refuse to work there. read more

I want to know why Dr. Rubio would insult my daughter's choice of clothing before even saying hello to her (she was wearing shorts and a sweatshirt). I also want to know why Dr. Rubio called her "crazy", when my daughter suffers from Complex Regional Pain Disorder (one of the most painful conditions EVER). My daughter is the opposite of crazy and one of the bravest persons I know. Dr. Rubio, is it too much to ask that you could treat patients with kindness and compassion? If you had any idea of the pain and suffering my daughter has endured in the past few years, you would fall to your knees and beg her for forgiveness. Why are you even practicing medicine, Dr. Rubio, if you treat your patients like garbage? I hope this review finds its way to you and you do some deep soul searching about how you provide care. It has been shown that if doctors show their patients deep attention and kindness the health outcomes are so much better. I am well aware of the trauma that those in medicine are dealing with given the pandemic, and I know that some patients have been terribly disrespectful of doctors and science in general. I have a lot of compassion for how burnt out doctors and nurses are. But that being said, if you are burnt out, please try to take some time off to refill your tank. A burnt out doctor does more harm than good. For the time being, I would urge anyone going to this facility to request a different doctor if you have to be seen at an urgent care, Dr. Rubio was an utter waste of my daughter's time and left her feeling worse off than when she came. read more

I went in for a drug screen for a job and they sent it for the wrong thing!!!! The drug screen was never run due to this mistake. I had a delay in starting my job due to their mix up. If I could give it zero stars I would. I don't know how this happens because lab errors are a HUGE thing. read more

I peed in a cup here yesterday. Random drug tests for work=occasional visits to this business It's been about a year since my last visit here and there have been some slight changes. They now have a key lock box that I was asked to put my purse in while I peed in the cup. I couldn't help but think how dirty the key on the extra large paper clip was. Besides the inconvenience of having to leave work and drive down here in the middle of the day, there I never find parking available in the small lot to the south of the building. Always street parking. At least there are no meters around that area. The staff I interacted with were very friendly and got me through the whole process in less than half an hour. Walked in for an Uber inspection (we are required to get a health inspection every year), and the lady says that I need to have the packet printed and bring it to them... I arrived at 8am (openining time) and wasn't seen until 9:15am. Which is fine, places are busy, just be prepared to wait. My travel nursing agency sent me here for a fit-to-work physical. I have been a nurse for 12 years, and working at my current assignment for 3 months, but my agency requires this to be updates yearly for compliance. I have no health history and am not on medications, my vital signs were great, my bp always runs low. The doctor came in and confirmed all these things, and then said your BMI (which has long been proven not to be a predictor of health bc it's void of information and does not consider muscle mass) and told me you need to loose weight, you're too heavy, "you'll feel better if you do." I was willing to let this wash off me and told her I feel great. But she didn't let it go, she said "we'll do you work out?" I told her I run competitively, ski, teach yoga, and do barre and Pilates regularly. She said, then it must be your diet, what is that like? I told her I am almost 100% whole food plant based. She then told me I would feel better if I took B12. I again told her, I felt great. It was a miserable experience. I am a size 6 small for reference, hate to hear what she would say to someone who is a healthy medium. Again this was a fit to work physical, I've done a million of them in my many years as a travel nurse, they are generally touch your toes, twist side to side, make sure you aren't color blind, the end. I have never written a review for the urgent cares, I've gone to. This was awful and embarrassing, but I didn't want anyone else just looking to meet a check mark with compliance have to go through this unwarranted experience. There is times when people get behind on schedule but this is rediculous! Ive been going here for about 9 months now following up on a work related injury and not once have i waited less than 2 hours to be seen. Its really frustrating waiting 2 plus hours for a 15 minute appointment! The staff is good and friendly for the most part, theres the occasional staff member thats got an attitude but thats not the problem.its the service that really sucks. You would think an appointment is made to reserve your time to be seen, might as well just put a sign outside saying " wait time is an estimated 2 hours, enter at your own risk". I am so impressed by the level of customer service at this Concentra. Not only was everyone I talked to super nice, they gave me an ETA for how long I would wait to do the pre-employment drug test I was there for. I was also offered a snack and apple juice and the woman who administered my drug test was super nice, informative, and really caring. I rarely see this level of customer service where people truly care (or are really good at acting like they do). If I ever need to go to an urgent care, I would take the effort to drive down there to this location. Most businesses could learn a things or two on how to treat customers. read more
