I came in for acute tonsillitis yesterday and came back today because it's considerably worse. I have received testing and a prescription to help me. Everyone I met was friendly, efficient and helpful during my visits today and yesterday. I am so grateful that AFC Urgent Care exists because my primary care doctor is on vacation for a national holiday weekend. My 2 visits went smoothly, it is the discharge and very simple follow up on labs & prescriptions that turned out to be a nightmare. Do not expect any real instructions on your visit paperwork or any follow through on lab results. I received no phone calls on my results and additional script, I had to follow up 4 times. I was upset & stressed as well as sick at the end. All I needed was a 1-2 min call. Simple, but clearly too much to ask read more

Very hard to get a hold of their office. The quality of care was poor. The doctor only saw me for about 10 minutes and quickly dismissed my concerns, which led to a misdiagnosis. I ended up having to go to another clinic to get proper care. read more

Took my wife here this morning after getting worse overnight. We walked in without an appointment just after they opened. It was a quick and easy check in experience and the staff was very professional. I waited in a a comfortable waiting area while my wife visited with the doctor. They listened to her symptoms and gave her a remedy while explaining the expectations of how it will work and how long until she feels better. They called in a prescription for her at a nearby pharmacy which we picked up about 20 minutes later. My wife was impressed by the "bedside manner" of the doctor that met with her and said he seemed genuinely interested in getting her back to normal asap. I was visiting from out of town and needed to get an antibiotic. My doctor did not want to prescribe without seeing me so she sent me to urgent care. I made. An appointment online. When I showed up.I checked in and was seen within five minutes of my arrival. Everyone that I had had any contact with was friendly and professional. I was in and out very quickly. read more

AFC has been my go to place as I fight all the illnesses my two little kids bring home from daycare. I never have to wait very long for a walk-in and the staff is fantastic. Waste of a copay super disappointed in the doctor that "helped me" today, this was the first time I have ever left an urgent care worse than when I went in! I received such good service in the lobby from the kind staff but feel like I wasn't taken seriously by my doctor. I know my body well enough to know when it is time to get to an urgent care, it looks like I will have to spend another $60 on a copay and go somewhere else tomorrow. read more

I have used this location for AFC Urgent Care many times and every time it has been a very pleasant experience. I've been seen for mono, a broken leg, UTI's and ear infections. My most recent experience with Bertha Robles was exceptionally good. I walked in at 6pm and was seen by 6:15. I had seen my PCP earlier in the day for an ear infection and they sent me home with just ear drops. Something didn't feel right and the pain got worse so I went in to this urgent care and Bertha told me to go to the ER. Turns out I had mastoiditis and needed a CT scan and IV antibiotics. I am truly grateful to Bertha for taking her patients seriously and being so kind and gentle. She even marked the visit as no charge since they couldn't do anything but in reality she gave me the most helpful advice. I am very grateful and feel lucky to have this urgent care in my neighborhood. read more

Excellent service from the front desk to the attending doctor. Office spaces were all clean and waiting time was reasonable. I am a veteran, so the secretary took the extra time to process my benefits, which I appreciated. The attending doctor took my symptoms seriously, Took the time to listen and also communicate his rationale for treatment so that we were on the same page. I appreciated this communication. Staff was nice helpful. Doctor that helped initially was awesome. They had a different doctor review my images from the ct scan. She sent me to hospital for appendix. My appendix had 0 issues. I received IV and blood work at the hospital. The surgeon said I was fine and didn't need the surgery or to be in the hospital. Now I have a bill for $1050.00. This place should be the one paying the bill since I was told to go even though I had no need for it. read more

Everyone was kind, pleasant, and helpful! I was able to receive an x-ray within an hour and 15 minutes, even though the computer system wouldn't upload, they said that never happens, but they still were able to take the picture and send it to a radiologist. read more

Where do I start... My kids got strep throat and I needed a test to make their doctor and my wife feel more comfortable. I decided to go to AFC Urgent Care Denver on Speer. First, I checked their website and saw no appointments, then I called and they said I didn't need an appointment for that kind of test. So I jumped into the car and walked right on in (with my mask on of course). The front desk staff could not have been more friendly. Within a couple of minutes I was in room #1 (best room ever). Shortly after I sat down, the lovely Julia came in to take vitals. Side note: She's never had a shout out before so let's all say hello to Julia!! After I explained what was happening with me, Julia sent in another staff member to do the tests. (This is the part where the test pretty much makes you gag so bad that you're about to vomit all over someone.) Truth be told, I survived that test and I'm proud to say, there was no vomit but... oh so close. The next test involved a finger prick -- there was some blood involved and a fancy looking tube thing to collect it. I got a bandaid and some good laughs. Now the wait begins for the results. I was on pins and needles until Brad the PA came in to give me the news. Tests were negative but here's a prescription of antibiotics and prednisone just in case things get ugly at home. Much appreciated Brad, although only five prednisone? I think we could have done better. What you really need to know is would I go back? Absolutely! The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly, and I was there less than an hour. read more

Fast and easy location. I came in without an appointment during the week. The wait was not long, maybe 15 minutes. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. Everyone from the front desk to the PA that was on site. Let's be honest, if you need to go an urgent care, you're probably not doing great BUTTTT if you're in that unfortunate situation, I highly recommend this place! I went here once pre-covid, a few times to get Covid tested and once this week for a chest thing and every time it has been a pleasant experience. I can't tell you enough how friendly and helpful the staff is! I've never felt like I was "another patient" there because they talk to you, ask you more in-depth questions and actually care about you. They even call you after to check up on you! I was visiting and experiencing sinus infection/bronchitis type symptoms and they got me in, seen, and out the door under 1 hour. like crazy fast. and they were all so genuinely kind and wonderful. i've never experienced such a delightful trip to the doctor. if all doc visits were like this, i wouldn't dread it so much. 10/10 read more

Needed a COVID test. I googled rapid same day PCR's and this place came up. Booking an appointment here was a waste of time and put me at risk of exposure. Issue #1: they are having folks come in the building for testing. I felt pretty uncomfortable standing so close to people that were visibility symptomatic. Issue #2: staff totally dropped the ball on my insurance. They told me it was inactive and that I'd need to pay out of pocket. Another provider had no issue taking it later that day. Overall, giant waste of time. I exposed myself to potentially positive people and didn't get a test. EDIT: to the response from the business owner: insurance is ACTIVE. Not sure what was going on on your end, but other provider was able to use it and I confirmed with the insurance company that it should've worked at AFC.... read more
