We rented Kokomo Lagoon from Conch Realty. Very disappointing! It is very rundown and needs a lot of work. The AC didn't work properly, many outlets did not work, rotting and loose boards on the dock, lots of clutter everywhere and old boat and car in the driveway. We could not even use the tiki bar downstairs because it had no running water and it was in awful shape. We mentioned the jacuzzi (which had no water and dirty) and were told it was not advertised for use which is incorrect since it is on the website we were given. There is hardly any lighting downstairs to be able to see anything. The house was not very clean and no cleaning products were left for us to at least be able to clean a little bit. It seems they want to collect money without putting anything into the house. The only thing that was updated and was enjoyable was the pool because it was recently added. This could be a great house if they just take a little bit of time in upgrading and making sure things are in proper working order. This is the first time we rent from Conch Realty and will be the last! read more

The homes may be ok but they are very poorly managed and cleaned. Little regard to the guests or the home owners as things are left broken. I never write reviews but it's worth letting others know that this company should be avoided! read more

We rented the Manatee Lagoon. The view was amazing. The place had waterfall showers off the master and 2 of the guestrooms. The recliners in the livingroom were really comfy with adjustable headrests and charge station built in for your electronics. There were more than enough towels and linens. The pool and hot tub were very clean. Spent many evenings and early mornings enjoying the views from the back balcony, watching the manatees, turtles, dolphins and other area wildlife. The screened in porch was an added plus. Some of the reviews mentioned extra cleaning fees....did not happen to us and I did not scrub the place down prior to departure, simply had the last load of laundry in and the garbage at the curb for pick up. Will definitely come back if not to Manatee Lagoon then to one of their other rentals. read more

We rented a boat for the week. They brought us an old boat that kept stalling out and had steering fluid leaking out everywhere. You could hardly turn the boat. We called the first day we took it out and ask them to bring us another boat or fix the one we had. They said they would send someone out and they did not. My husband went out at 5:30-6 in mornings to fish and the boat had no working lights! I would not recommend renting a boat from these people. They do not care about what they give you and have very poor customer service. read more

Hate to say I have to update this. Rented a home from them, yep it was a decent price and we got a boat, the house was dirty, A/C wasn't right, they told me it was normal, we had black mold or something like it coming out of the a/c units, that was normal. We are pretty easy going, we were 5 minutes from their office and we didn't get any kind of resolution. We left a day early, wasn't going to stay another night. I will not even start with the boat, it was bad, I told them the steering wheel was about to fall off, "oh it's fine". No It needed a new helm. I run a Marina and a boat club, can't believe they would send someone out on a boat like that, it was a safety hazard. Oh well, lesson learned. I highly suggest looking elsewhere, as is vacation boat rentals and look up Barbara McKee in Marathon. Don't rent from Conch Realty. Adam is very unprofessional. After renting a home from him for six years, we had a miscommunication. He handled the situation very unprofessionally and even cursed me out over the phone. This is not anywhere close to how a customer should be treated. Clare is not any better. We have recently rented princess conch, one of conch realty's properties,and have to say that the property is filthy and delapitated. There are nails sticking out of dock and jacuzzi (major liability), the posts on dock (another major liability), are crumbling. The chairs outside the house are also 20+ and cracked and broken. You can't even sit on them. The sheets look 20 years old as do the floor mats and towels. I was scared to sleep in beds for fear of bedbugs. The furniture is so scary looking we have to place towels before sitting. The "game room" is filled with a pool table that is crooked and broken. The yard is trashy as well. The lighting fixtures are filled with spiders and cobwebs. The toilet seats are stained orange and look as old as the sheets. The silverware is so old it breaks when you use. The canal the house sits on is definitely just that, and nothing more. If I were the owner of this property I would be highly concerned with the management property. I would not recommend this property at all! Very sad that our spring break is spent here. thank goodness we have a boat and are able to leave the property. read more

Please NEVER rent from these people!! They are INCREDIBLY unprofessional even from the beginning. We rented a 24' Boston whaler that kept cutting out on us and the water pump would not shut off. We called them to tell them the issue and Collin and Adam were completely put out by it. We called back and asked them just to take the boat back and keep the security (on our first full day of using the boat) and Adam said "we don't do that" and hung up on us. They are incredibly rude even when we have tried to be understanding and polite. Please do not suffer. Enjoy your holiday and rent from someone else! read more

This was our second year renting from conch,we also rented a boat and I had no problem running anywhere with there 24 foot whaler started up every time and was great on gas not the newest boat but very functional and reliable! The house was as advertised and was very clean with plenty of dock space with lots of fish to keep the kids busy we feel like princess conch is our home away from home with friendly neighbors and also just a short jog away from vaca cut to get too the Atlantic! I cannot wait to get back to the wonderful Florida Keys!!!!! read more

Poor customer service. Badly maintained properties (i.e bugs, dirt, unkempt upkeep) poorly maintained and unworking boats. I would recommend that you go somewhere professional. Trying to book with Clare was a NIGHTMARE - most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Use a known provider - these are not people you want to trust. read more

To be honest I got a little nervous wondering what I was going to have to deal with...lesson learned, don't believe everything you read. As a first time renter through a VRBO type site, I may be a last time renter....Adam Angermann did nothing to help the skepticism I had about going this route unfortunately. I should have followed my gut when I wouldn't get a response to what I thought were very simple (and honestly should have been information given on the contract) inquiries for weeks. And once I did get a response, the answers would be at most a 5 word sentence. But I remained optimistic. It was THREE days before our rental was to begin and I had no word as to the procedure for gaining access to the property. I had to call and was assured by Clare that everything was fine. She gave me the information I needed, asked me not to go into the house until after 3PM. I let her know that we weren't actually going to start our stay on Saturday, but would be there Sunday instead. Thus giving the cleaning service additional time to prepare the house for new renters. Sadly, an extra 24+ hours was not enough, so when we arrived by 1:00 a DAY into our week long rental, the house was still being cleaned and looked no where near being done. When I called Adam to ask why the cleaning service was still there - he replied, "I have no idea........" and with my prodding him, he said he'd try to find out. Big of him. He then called back to say the cleaning person was going to be picked up in 10 minutes. There was laundry going in the machines, none of the beds were made, the floors hadn't been cleaned and the refrigerator still had remnants from the previous renters, but she was going to be picked up in 10 minutes....super plan. I then called him to let him know the entry system was not working...his reply, "You're doing in wrong." We did figure out that we were, in fact, doing it wrong. Here's why - there were NO directions given. The property has a wonderful view, but that's about as positive as I will be about the entire experience. I've learned my lesson and will likely be VERY hesitant to rent this way again. But I can assure you, if I do, it will not be with Adam. read more

Warning! Do not rent from Conch Realty! We have been renting in the Keys for 30 years and this is the worst customer service ever. During the past 5 years we have rented from Conch Realty. Their prices are a bit lower than some and this is for obvious reasons. The houses are not maintained, dirty, and ill equipped. This year was the worst of all for us. We had a house fire the 2nd day we were there due to bad wiring from and old lamp. I simply moved the lamp over on the dresser a few inches when I heard a loud pop. At first I thought it was the bulb until I saw flames shooting up from behind the dresser! I quickly ran out closed the door ,called 911, found a fire extinguisher returned to the smoke filled bedroom twice before I got the flames out. The fire department and police department responded quickly and confirmed the fire was out. The fireman commended me on a job well done he said my actions saved the house. I called Adam while the authorities were still there and he said "what do you want me to do?" In shock I responded "do you need to speak to the fireman or police? What do you need me to get from them?" He responded "no I don't need anything." What do you want from me?" I responded "I want you to send someone over here to check the wiring and bring another fire extinguisher!" His attitude was unbelievable! I put him on speaker so they could all hear and everyone shook their head in disbelief. An hour past and no one came by so I called Adam again. He answered the phone with a terrible attitude. I told him that no one came by and we were sitting in the heat the AC was still off until everything could be checked. I also told him we needed housekeeping because of the mess from the extinguisher. He started yelling at me saying that I didn't tell him that before. I stopped him there and asked him why he had an attitude with me when I did everything I could to put the fire out? He said "I have enough to do now I have to replace the F$&@ing lamp that you burned up!!! I asked him to repeat what he said because I was certain I did not hear him correctly. He said "I don't F$&@ing have to repeat myself. And I am tired of you bit&$ing at me. Don't come back to rent from us again!" He never once asked if we were ok or came by himself. We have stayed in Cloud 9 & rented a boat twice before without major issues. The home is nice & has lots to offer. Had to rehang many of the verticals found stashed in a drawer, & empty appliances, but generally found it welcoming. The a/c didn't cool on 2nd visit, but we were told it was normal in Florida heat! We live in Florida, so we know normal & this wasn't! We spend most of our time in or on water, so we didn't make it an issue. Our 3rd recent visit didn't go as well. Although the a/c had been repaired, a little money to replace the lousy verticals is needed. Three large sliders with fantastic water views, but trying to open & close them & keep them from falling out is a real pain! Easy & long overdue fix! We would probably stay in the home again, but the boat this time was awful! The first boat we got seemed good when taken to a reef but when some of the family cruised the canals, it overheated. They got stranded & had to paddle back, which was time-consuming & challenging. Later we're told these boats need to be in faster motion to keep from overheating, blaming my husband?! The canals are in a no-wake, idle zone, which prohibits going quickly, & we never had these issues with prior boats. Also we have a 4-stroke Yamaha engine on our own boat, & know how they should operate. The boat was replaced with another that didn't have much gas -off we go to get expensive fuel which only got 2/3 used as the next morning, both battery & auxiliary were dead. Again, my husband's fault-told he must have hit some unknown unlabeled button that drained them. He also was told he should have turned the auxiliary off when told a day prior he didn't need to! Rude service plus we left over $100 extra fuel in it due to hours lost using boat. We told Adam & left receipt for it hoping for price adjustment- didn't happen. I rented their ocean house the week of fantasy fest and couldn't have been happier. The house was bigger then we thought and everyone we invited had a great time. The sunrises and sunsets were breath taking and the weather was great. Already booked for this year. Can't wait to go back read more

We rented the pelican house in February 2016 for the month. Adam is more interested in renting boats than taking care of his renters. Bad company don't waste yor hard earned money. Week and half in I called Adam about having only 3 or 4 channels we could view on the one T.V. in the house, he about said that was to bad. We also had no DVD unbelievable. They must not read there own instruction book that states if you move the T.V.'s around put them back when you leave. At two weeks I called and got Clare I told her we had no channels or DVD. She said I could go to kmart and buy a DVD and bill her. Right that wasn't going to happen, told her to get one over DVD arrived 3-days before we where leaving. Bad vacation. read more

WARNING!! DO NOT RENT FROM CONCH REALTY SALES INC!!! VACATION FROM HELL!! Rented 08/03/13 Cabana 24 on 6th St in Key Colony Beach (Marathon Key). The place was atrocious! Beyond filthy. It had not been cleaned at all...maybe in months. The sheets were discusting. The mattress was bigger than the box spring and hung over the sides.The floors and counters were sticky and dirty. The dishes in the cabinets and drawers were dirty.The toilet was covered in feces and the bathroom door covered in urine! To top it off, the air conditioning didn't work...In August!! The wiring in the whole place is faulty. We had to go out and buy cleaning products and new sheets and clean the place on our first day of vacation.If all that wasn't bad enough... The boat we rented for the week had a hull full of water and the required lights didn't work. DANGEROUS to be out in that! We called Adam Angermann, the "manager", he wouldn't fix any of the problems and was a rude and insulting! Just returned from a vacation in Marathon FL. We booked a home through Conch Realty and it was the worst experience with a rental company I've had since we've been going to Florida for over 25 years. Professionalism isn't a term that they are familiar with at this company. One of the agents, Clare comes across as amicable at first but when it came to money, that southern charm went south. They charge a $225.00 cleaning fee and let me tell you it doesn't cover much. Be prepared to bring your own cleaning supplies and use them because the cleaning service doesn't want to have to do anymore than they need to. Cleaning under the beds apparently isn't included in this fee since when I checked to see if my kid dropped anything - it was filthy! And there was an overloaded UPS ready to have a meltdown. Also, one of the reasons for the extra cleaning charge was that the service had to "properly clean and sanitize " a bathroom (only 1 mind you out of 3). So, that's normally not included in the initial $225.00 fee either. So I'd wear flip flops when showering in any of their "managed" homes. We noticed some repairs that the house needed and when I mentioned them just in conversation, she told me that I should have called them in. I was taken aback by this statement as they are they management company for this property and they should be going in after each turn over to check on it. After all, we paid $3000 to stay there for the week, and we have to do their job for them?? Even the landscaper for the grounds popped his head in to make sure everything was good. Upon return Conch Realty charged our credit card without informing us prior to and when I asked for the actual receipts for some linens that I agreed to compensate them for - they sent me a handwritten one - not the actual receipts from the store. They insulted and yelled at my family member when they called to find out why their credit card was charged. Clare will not let you speak as she is an over talker so if you have an issue - DO IT IN WRITING (that is if you absolutely have to rent from them), Unfortunately for the owners of the beautiful home, this is one place that we will not go back to again and the people that we already did recommend it to we've already told to move onto something else. I mean for a $225.00 cleaning fee and you have to start the laundry process for them and it doesn't include basic cleaning such as under the beds and proper cleaning of the bathrooms - I think it's a rip off. Don't bring kids either because the cleaning service will charge you if fingerprints are left on the glass doors and they'll have to clean it! Avoid this company if you can. read more
