Almost immediately, Dr. Jenn began telling me about all of these tests that I needed. She never: took my blood pressure or temperature, asked me how much I weighed or examined me in anyway. Then she told me how the testing is going to cost thousands of dollars. This is not a practice for the middle class. They should have to acknowledge that.

Left a message for a callback to discuss. No callback. Called again and was put on hold with annoying music for at least 5 minutes. Hung up and called back. Same person answered with please hold. I asked if they could call me back. Answer was "I'm with a patient, please hold". I don't think so. Obviously there's a staffing issue. I'm just too old and cranky to sit around listening to bad music. (And I'm still mad about the $100).

Practice billing could have filed a form as they are the only practice performing the surgery in a few hundred mile radius but they gave a lame excuse as to why they couldn't be bothered. So a couple thousand more out of my pocket on top of an already expensive procedure. That was the icing on the cake as the surgery was only partially successful. Follow-up care was lacking in that I returned several times over the recovery period and literally got no additional help and was just told to come back next month. Never saw the surgeon again only the PA. 9 months later a follow-up MRI listed my condition changed from severe to moderate so with pain meds I'm still barely functioning and still/back in PT a year afterward.

I have always been weary of the sales efforts of chiropractors, and thus even with issues to be addressed have previously avoided them. I read his compelling flyer inserted in the local paper, and thought that I might have found a straight-shooter. I was wrong. What frustrated me was that I paid for a full examination for my wife so that we could find out what was wrong with our bodies, and what the time and money commitment would be help bring our bodies back to health, and he didn't answer any of these questions. Instead, he said he needed $165 for x-rays to know what is really happening. If he knows that x-rays are usually or often required for diagnosis, then why hide that fact in his sales materials? It frustrated me that I paid for a sales-pitch examination, that yielded no concrete results. I wrote him an email expressing my frustration, saying it was much like paying a mechanic to diagnose your car and yet he only looks at the outside of it, asks you a couple questions about it, and then tells you that you'll need to pay 3x as much to finish the diagnostic process. It felt like bait-and-switch to me. And, he didn't even have his examination table in his office, and thus could only do part of the external exam that he wanted. After my email to him, which out of respect I did to resolve the issue directly before turning to yelp, he called me. He just defended his practices. He continued with my analogy, yes, you have to pay more for the mechanic to look under the hood. Amazing! Then what is the exam Dr Druda? I know that a problem exists, I don't need to pay you money for you to just say "yes, you have a problem." So, if you see one of those compelling offers from Dr Druda in the paper, think twice before you act. (I have no idea if he is a decent chiropractor. I do know that he likes his money, and that his business approach is unethical in my eyes).
