Office staff is courteous and helpful. Waiting area is tiny, but since the wait time is usually very minimal that's ok. The professional staff is well trained and will go the extra mile to meet your needs. I usually see one therapist---I don't like change!---and am comfortable with her ability and recommendations. It is good to try to book appointments at least a couple of weeks out, but if you need to make a change, they will do their absolute best to accommodate you. Hours are good too! I've been able to get a 6 in the evening appointment when needed!

I get that the have to take the more important patients first but seriously the lack of support they have there is insane , instead of bringing me back into an actually hospital bed room I was sat in a triage , and I know they had rooms because I saw atleast 4 kids being put in a hospital room while I sat there uncomfortably at 1:00 am not being seen in time I ended up leaving because my pain was so bad and at this point it was already 2:00 am and wasn't seen at all yet , this place fucking sucks and I recommend that you just stay home from you're pain instead of going to the emergency room where you won't be cared for at all . The hospital is immaculate and kept clean by a staff of friendly custodians who take time to ask how you, the patient, are doing. The food was not great, but who expects great food at a hospital. The beds were not comfortable. For these reasons I give the hospital a 4. Thanks for taking care of me during a hard time in my life!

I…read moredon't have to wait months to get an appointment, which was one of the main reasons I chose this facility. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. Also, the wait time has always been less than ten minutes for me. My doctor is Dr. Suzanne Shipman. She's incredibly compassionate and helpful, and is straight-forward with answering my questions. I feel comfortable discussing my health problems with her and I know she won't laugh at me or judge the things I say. Dr. Shipman, along with all the nurses that I've interacted with, really seem to put me at ease, since I can get a bit nervous whenever I see a doctor. I get the impression that everyone here genuinely cares for people. You aren't just a symptom or diagnosis. You're a person with a story who needs their help. Also, I can tell that the doctors and nurses really want to help the patients they're seeing, which is great considering I've had some doctors in the past that don't really care about you or your problems. Additionally, I had to go into the main building and get some blood drawn for labs. The lab techs were very understanding of the fact that I generally don't "do well" with getting my blood drawn (i.e. I faint). They kept me distracted during the blood draw, which wasn't horribly painful, and didn't immediately kick me out afterward even though they had people waiting.

I've had poor care decisions made that put me at risk, simply because the doctor was covering his behind. I've had doctors play passive aggressive power games about care. There is no sense of compassion. You might luck out and get a smart doctor but the odds are against you.

My brother John H , age 74, has been at the Laconia Facility for over 2 years he has diabetes and…read morehas received very good care. I live 800 miles away in the Alexandria Va area and stay in close contact with both John and the Laconia personnel that manage the facility and nurses that attend to John's direct medical care. I was concerned during the COVID period with some of the stories we heard about nursing homes ; but , Laconia did a great job of keeping people safe (both residents and staff). Laconia had good procedures in place and required that everyone follow them. John had some medical problems that he needed treatment for and the nurses would call me and let me know when things changed. On occasions when Laconia staff felt John should be seen at a hospital they would call me , and have him transported to the hospital. Laconia management would let the hospital know that I, as a family member, would likely be calling to check on John. I would call the hospital and with Laconia help ,developed a working relationship with the hospital staff and treating doctors. With regard to care I was very satisfied with the care John got , the Laconia nurses would follow closely what the hospital doctor would put in place. The Laconia procedures allowed for good discussions between myself, John, the Laconia nurses, and staff. Laconia also initiated Zoom calls which I was ask to participate in and did , so I could see the care givers , my brother and his progress. My impression of staff is very favorable. However; all large health care organizations need a mix of experienced people and young entry level people often ask to do menial tasks. Some of this group have not yet developed favorable communication skills. My brother had a problem with one entry level person , we discussed it with the Laconia management and it was immediately corrected. Many staff members have been there a long time and are both knowledgeable and dedicated and very easy to work with. William H

I was admitted this morning after an ambulance transport to their ER. I was initially surprised by their three-star rating and couldn't understand the reason. This is my second encounter with this Claremont hospital. Several years ago, I visited their ER due to a kidney stone; their care was outstanding, and I vowed to return if needed. Yesterday, I was treated for a hematoma in my left thigh on the ER floor, similar to treatment I previously received at the VA hospital in White River Junction. As my condition worsened, I was transported by ambulance to the nearest ER, which turned out to be here at Valley Regional--the staff were professional, attentive, and compassionate. In particular, Jeffrey, the paramedic on duty, provided remarkable care, exemplifying excellent emergency services. After tests, I was admitted this morning and met Kathy, the floor nurse, to be equally genuine, a true empathy with the perfect bedside manner personality, and skill level that made my stay exceptional. Not all the hospital beds I've had to sleep in over the past two months have been this comfortable. This room and VRH was private and calming. I'm not sure how people aren't experiencing the same relief I am, as everyone here has been exceptional.

They lie to patients, violate patients rights and continually feel that they are always right. There is no dignity or respects especially from Ms. Stillman who claims a background that she is surely not able to back up with any sense of patient dignity. If you have a psych emergency, go anywhere but here to your will be held without you will for no reason and with no follow up.
