This is another good concourse in the Atlanta airport, also has plenty of shops and places to eat. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings located here, so if you are a fan of chicken wings or bdubs, you can certainly eat here. The concourse itself it showing signs of wear though, at the area where I was awaiting my plane, several of the seats where usable.

Just when I thought I'd gone through all the concourses in Atlanta, alas - I had a connection in D concourse. There isn't anything notable about this concourse. Seems small, not many eateries I would actually go to.

Clean bathrooms! I had a layover here for a couple of hours and did not get out to see if there were a lot of shops. But instead, I stayed close to the gate. There were a few areas of construction going on, but certainly nothing that made the concourse unbearable. I will note however at the bathrooms, well, the men's room, was clean. as someone who travels frequently, I can appreciate those kinds of details and high traffic public areas.

I can't count the times I've connected at Hartsfield-Jackson - it's been too numerous to count! Interesting to learn the airport is named for former Atlanta mayors William Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson and that it is the world's busiest airport by passenger traffic since 1998 (except 2020 when C-19 affected travel) and that Hartsfield-Jackson served 108.1 million passengers in 2024 - Wow! For me, it's crowded! Everywhere! The trams are packed and are useful! The amenities are okay, if you have the time to a. get to your next gate (after all this airport has 200 gates), and b. if there's room for you to get a seat in a restaurant or bar. Depending on the time of day, I typically get a Jersey Mike's sub, an Auntie Anne's pretzel, or something at a bar like TGI Fridays, PF Changs or Phillips Seafood. And a bottle of water from one of the news stores. I've never had a bad experience at Hartsfield-Jackson and all the staff have been helpful, friendly and professional. The lack of a fifth star is due to the extremely crowded nature of this airport, each and every time I have been on travel through Atlanta!

I flew both into and out of Atlanta, and despite the airport's size, the experience was surprisingly efficient. I have TSA PreCheck, and security on my departure was incredibly fast. Everything was well organized, and I got through with no issues. Overall, it's a busy but well-run airport. Just wear comfortable shoes because you'll likely be getting your steps in!

It seems logical but have visited multiple airports where the ordering gets inconsistent, another letter is added after the number, or worse, a situation where you are going to gate 14, and you reach 16 and then realize it starts over at 1 going up to 14? Technically, this review is for Concourse C since there are only two terminals at Atlanta, with the domestic terminal having multiple concourses (C being one of them). We had the opportunity to fly into it from LAX on a red-eye Delta flight. The main entrance/exit is in the middle of the concourse with Gates C21, C22 and C30, C31 surrounding it (there are no Gates C23 - C29). Note all the gates in Concourse C are used by Delta Airlines. We needed to get to Concourse F to catch our connecting flight. We saw signs stating that it could be reached by walking 25 minutes, but ended up taking the Plane Train, which took only 4 (even after stopping at the in-between concourses first).

I would recommend that you have more than 1 gate agent working in times of delays. She was overworked with trying to check people in, make announcements, work with customers who need assistance in boarding, people needing seat assignments, etc... I feel there should have been a supervisor there to help her and to answer questions. We did hear from several employees that the airport is understaffed causing this employee to work harder than needed. Weather caused a 3hr delay from Atlanta to Jackson, MS

Due to the relative newness (2012), it has a lot of the learnings of an international terminal, including fully far spaced gates for bigger aircrafts, a consistent immigration area, photo recognition enabled gates to eliminate need for passport scan, and a airside train transit to connect all of the other domestic terminals. Using it for both our outbound and inbound international flights was a good experience.
