This website is a scam and they buy their google reviews, they have a weird system that is against the Toronto tenant law. Requiring documents before viewing property is a red flag! Asking clients to have more than two months deposit is a red flag! They normally don't own actual listings - they borrow everything from realtors.ca and then sugarcoated it on their own website as it were their listings. SO MANY RED FLAGS. Glad I didn't become a victim in the end. read more

The severe lack of professionalism of the "agents" that work at this company is astonishing. I had to go through about 4 agents before I found one that would: a) answer my calls/texts/emails b) actually show me listings I had requested to see c) wasn't condescending when answering questions (which may have been dumb questions, but I'm not a real estate agent and didnt go to school to learn what they did, which is why I asked) d)allow me to lose properties that I really wanted to lease (two in a row) due to taking 3-5 days to follow up, if ever at all and even then, it was like pulling teeth to get them to take my money to apply for a place - I always felt like i was at the bottom of their to-do list simply because I wasn't BUYING a condo, meanwhile their commission cheque on my rental ended up being about $1000 - which is ludicrous when I did the majority of the work myself to find the place. All they did was open the door and stand there texting on their phone as I looked around (on my own) and sign some papers at the end. Sadly, with the booming real estate rental market - we know your company will never really suffer a loss of business, and that those agents will remain busy - but what we CAN hope for is that your reputation suffers over time and you eventually go under before having raked in too much of our hard earned money with your useless, rude right-out-of-school "agents". read more

I quit my job in London and needed a place in Toronto urgently before starting my new job. I conveyed this strict time crunch that I was under to Anne Wilson and she responded by email very promptly with a great variety of rentals to look at based on the initial (pretty vague) criteria I gave her. After narrowing down the area, with her guidance and knowledge of the area, we took a look at 4 units. I decided that one of the units was a good fit for me and my budget and filled out the (pretty standard) application in the apartment. After I got home, Anne emailed me the lease through DocuSign, where there was no printing/signing/scanning that another Yelp user was complaining about. The whole process of signing the lease took literally 5 minutes. Anne kept in great communication during the entire process, including responding to texts and emails well into the evening. The whole process from contacting Condos.ca online, to viewing potential condos, signing the lease and physically moving in took less than two weeks - which ended up perfect for me. I am very impressed with the professionalism and attentiveness of Anne at Condos.ca and would without a doubt recommend her to anyone. read more

I requested to view a condo through their website and first met with Keith, who was more interested in his phone than answering my questions. As we departed the first property we viewed, he notified me that he'll be "handing me" over to another agent. The second agent was awful beyond words. She was extremely pushy and kept on encouraging me to submit a bully offer explaining that this is the state of the market and if I wanted to buy anything, I would have to go beyond my maximum budget. The reasoning was that the difference is going to be small anyway once the final price gets amortized over the 25-year mortgage period. The second agent was also very good at ignoring emails that contained specific questions about the process, fees, forms, etc. The only properties that were booked to be viewed immediately were the expensive ones. The lower price spectrum was always magically "I never heard back from them". Eventually the agent appears to have departed the company and claimed that she'll pass me over to another agent. Never heard anything form anyone and I couldn't care less. Moved on to another agency. read more

4 years ago when I needed help looking for a place to rent, none of the agents even bothered returning my calls. Fast forward to the past few weeks, I was browsing units for sale on their site and was non-stop bombarded with texts and emails. I did not subscribe to that service, and no, I did not reach out to any of them who cannot seem to understand simple instructions to stop contacting me. I immediately deactivated my account but one of them seems to lack basic literacy skills and respect. Aldredge Pinto kept pestering me even though I have already deleted my account, told him politely to stop reaching out. It is ironic how 4 years ago they did not even want my business, but the moment I was shopping for units, they would chase after you like hungry animals. read more

This is my first ever Yelp post. I'm not someone who complains and so I'm typically satisfied or never dissatisfied to the point of taking to a public forum to voice my displeasure. But these guys really know how to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Purely from a customer service perspective --- TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The first guy (Keith) cancelled on us last minute ("small family emergency"). What the heck is a "small family emergency". Sounds like something not quite serious enough to cancel on a client for. We asked to have another agent show us some of the condos we selected to view. Keith obliged but the other agent (Larry) didn't contact us until 2 days later. Larry sent an email with a list of questions he requested to be answered. I responded with all the answers he required in order to set up viewings. He sent me an email saying he had called me. I called him back and left a message and never heard anything back. 3 days later, I'm contacted by another agent (Layla). She requested I fill out a variety of forms and provide letter of employment, credit report, lease agreement, etc. before viewing a condo. This is a typical sketchy sales tactic to force a commitment from the client that handcuffs you to use their services or ensures they get paid even if you use someone else. I'm sure I don't have to get into the reasons this is not beneficial to the client. On top of that, she was condescending and accused me of interrupting her while she spoke over me. What ever happened to listening to your client?? Isn't that the most basic sales principle? Would be nice if they were transparent and customer focused. The site is well laid out. Unfortunately the customer service is so severely lacking. There are SO MANY alternatives out there. Do yourself a favour and use someone who wants your business. Not someone who tells you that landlords want to use them so you have to use them too. Landlords do not want to use them. They sell their services to landlords and gut them for a full months rent. I will forever be an ambassador against this company and brand. read more

Condos.ca is an unreliable and an unprofessional company. I was contact by Matthew Gravina after I had filled out a form on Condos.ca, and he himself had requested to show a few condos to me on Friday morning 10 am. I scheduled time out from a working day for FOUR viewings with him and two other people had had committed to join me. I had called Mr Mathew 30 minutes prior to our appointment to check if everything was on track to which he said yes. 10 minutes later, he calls and cancels ALL our viewings because his manager had called him to downtown. Dear Mr Manager, this proves that customers are not your priority and that you are not instilling the values of keeping a customer happy. The least that could have been done was to call a colleague who would be able to show the viewings in his place. Mr Mathew clearly doesn't value people's time because I have wasted my morning that could have been allocated elsewhere. As a matter of principle, I did not contact any other agent after making contact with Matthew because he expressed his eagerness to show me the apartments and now i am left to see nothing! By the looks of other reviews, this is not the first time that employees at condos.ca have cancelled on their customers in the last minute. I can never trust condos.ca and can definitely never recommend it to anybody. I hope that you will thoroughly investigate this incident and ensure that other customers are not treated in a similar manner. read more

i would never recommend this firm to rent or sell. i trusted a agent and paid to get my home rented and i am not finding out information that the agent relayed to me that was false. also i had issues with my tenant when they first moved in woth pets, not knowing you can not restrict that on a lease but was told by the agent i could. im not starting to think no credit and background check was eber completed! i would not use this firm if they have agents like this working for them. do not use anm wilson! read more

I don't even know where to begin.. I was introduced to my agent, Anne for the first time through email as I was looking for a condo to rent in the North York area. She began to ask me questions about what I was looking for and wanted to set up appointments for me to see condos right away. I told her when the time came closer to when I was planning on moving out, I would move forward and keep in touch with her. Fast forward, a couple months later, I approached Anne through email once again. Within the next couple of days, we were able to view some units to see which buildings we were interested in. After seeing a couple of buildings, we decided which ones we were set on. Anne continued to be extremely helpful with our search for a condo with the requirements for our first rental unit. We continued to look for units that were similar or in the buildings we looked at previously. Anne was very helpful in answering all our questions and what was required to put in an offer and what types of deposits we would need. She even went above and beyond to prepare us by sending us documents ahead of time to fill out prior to putting in an offer. All was going well, until we decided to put in our first offer on a unit. Anne was sending us documents through email and it was a pain in the ass to get everything signed and emailed back to her within a reasonable time frame. We kept going back and forth, scanning documents, signing documents, until finally all the paperwork was done. The first offer we put through, they declined our offer. Disappointed, we continued our search for another unit that we were interested in and the second time around, the same thing happened. Going back and forth from sending, scanning, resigning and signing documents, the offer fell through again. We were beginning to feel really frustrated at this point because all the paperwork was such a hassle. After putting offers in for three different units, our 3rd offer got accepted! Again, the paperwork process took us a couple days to get everything finalized. There were even some documents that we were very unclear about. We were trying to ask Anne what the documents were and she wasn't able to clarify anything and she basically said to us, "it's just a stupid form that is required for everyone putting in an offer and if you don't sign it, the offer won't go through." (Great... So we're pretty much signing our life away without knowing what we're signing). This put us in such an awkward position. In between all the signing and scanning of documents, almost every document I sent her, she had me re-send every single document, saying she couldn't open the document on the phone, a couple of pages from the documents were cut off, etc. At this point, I was so frustrated and angry. Her professionalism went from 100 to 0, real quick. She wasn't able to give us straight answers on a lot of the questions we had after the offer was accepted. She insisted that we ask her the questions, rather than talking to the landlord. We couldn't understand why she wouldn't give us the landlords contact information of the offer already went through. After a couple of weeks went by, I received a phone call from her and she said "sorry i've been really busy lately and haven't had time to read all your emails you sent, would you be able to read out the questions you had?".. So, the offer went through and now suddenly you're too busy to answer my questions and you're basically saying you don't have time for me? (Unprofessional!) Then she had the audacity to ask me if I sent all the paperwork to the Property Manager myself, as if I was supposed to know? She was basically asking me to do her job for her??.. WHAT THE F. We ended up going straight to the other agent and contacted with him directly, as he seemed to be more attentive and quick to answer our emails. We finally got our landlords information through the OTHER AGENT after asking 1000 times. Anne has not followed up with us at all or kept in contact with us. She basically got her commission, got paid, split the cheque and called it a day.... I would not recommend Condos.ca, they're a waste of your time and extremely unprofessional. read more

I was initially attracted to Condos.ca because it has the most user-friendly website out there; fortunately, the realtors behind the scenes were just as awesome. Robin and Vera jointly took care of me, helping me quickly find the perfect home. They were both extremely responsive, helpful, personable, and particularly flexible. After I found the right place, the leasing procedures were easy and straightforward, with signing done through docusign to make life easier for everyone. I highly recommend Condos.ca's services, at least if you get one of the two awesome realtors I mentioned above. read more

A system that is designed to protect us as consumers. The whole rental processes is using high tech practices with electronic signatures to expedite a complex system. I love it. Although, I have signed less forms when I bought my house. Regardless, the system is about protection for all parties involved in a very competitive and busy environment. I couldn't imagine going through this process without an agent like Anne. Her knowledge and service were incredibly professional and exceptional. She went the extra mile and helped me not just select a rental property, but more importantly select a HOME. Her professionalism and personal touch made my experience a pleasant journey.
