Worst ER experience ever. The wait time was over 5 hours!!! The quality care is awful and highly unprofessional.

Luckily, it is the same distance to High Point as it is to Greensboro. But there's a bunch more traffic in High Point tho. When you pull up, there's plenty of parking. Handicapped parking is right in front of the building. There's plenty of them available. There is no valet parking. I arrived early enough to park and grab the wheel chair. Everything is located in this one building. It is 3 levels. The Emergency Room is located to the left of the elevators past the pharmacy. There's no cafeteria. However there's fully stocked vending machines as well as a coffee machine. The hot drinks are $1. Who can beat that. We went to the 3rd floor to check Mommy in. It was super quick and they took us directly to the back. The advantage to being a smaller facility. Here we meet John. The most friendliest and funny RN/Med Tech. He made mom feel comfortable because this is a new facility. Older generation don't like change. John was cool. Down to earth. John turned us over to Tedora and she became our nurse for the duration of the day. Tedora is calm, caring and patient. Overall, we had a very smooth therapy session.

It's frustrating because I frequently find that her office doesn't respond to phone calls in a reasonable timeframe. In one instance, they referred my mother to a different provider that, in my opinion, wasn't necessary for her situation. I also observe that she seems to rush during consultations.

Great Nurses, great OBGYN. But that's where it ends…read more As someone who works in the medical field if I could give zero stars as it relates to overall patient/family experience I would. L&D unit was busy, so we weren't able to get a room upstairs. I understand this as it can be busy. Everyone needs their care and I'm no one special. My wife was contracting every 2-2.5 minutes and we had to potentially wrap our mind around the notion she could not receive an epidural nor nitrous oxide per information provided by the OBGYN and nurse. Iv pain medication is all you can get. I looked around the tiny room, no "Christmas tree" was present on the auxiliary 02, no radiant warmer present, tight room, no suction canister readily available for women who are more prone to difficult airways and vomiting?? My wife looked me in the eyes and said "I am scared". As a husband, as a protector, one feels very hopeless quickly. It makes one wonder, what services if emergencies arise can this area withstand if various situations occur. Anyone who has any experience in obstetrical care understands how fast things can decline. We then were able to receive a room on the L&D floor and the anesthesiologist had zero patience with my wife. Came in the room and stated "would you like me to go over the epidural details or do you just want the epidural?" Isn't it standard of practice to inform your patient regardless of how many times they receive a treatment or intervention of their informed consent?? As a CRNA, I think so. This is not how I practice. Nonetheless, once my wife got the epidural it worked until her water broke then it did nothing. When the OBGYN had to the suture my wife, she injected various locations 2-3 times. Patchy epidural. Dumped a whole medicine cup of lidocaine on her private area for numbing.. Anesthesiologist who performed the epidural is educated at Princeton and Harvard. Goes to show, your education can lgood on a wall framed, but lacks bedside delivery of care. Wife felt nauseous, no emesis bags in the room. In an area where there is expected hypotension after epidural or spinal placement shouldn't something as simple as an emesis bag be present? I don't want to hear about short staffed, welcome to the work force post covid. Make it happen, you're taking care of pregnant mothers and their families. Do we not understand/recognize the most likely issues that can arise in a speciality and have necessary items stocked and prepared? I spoke with the anesthesiologist about my complaints, I respected the one on one meeting. However, he denied my initial interest in meeting post epidural placement. It wasn't until he found out I was an anesthesia provider as well that be wanted to meet. I made my concerns known and he stated his side. A pancake has two sides and I respected the dialogue. However, as an anesthesia provider one must ask was I treated differently because I provide anesthesia as well? If this is the "luxury package" what does the patient with low socioeconomic status with little to no insurance and who doesn't speak English receive as it relates to care? Shouldn't everyone get excellent care in an area where patient experience is the driving force for birthing a child? In summary, great nurses, great OBGYN. However experience was poor. I wouldn't recommend anyone to deliver a child here. Whole experience was anxiety filled, trauma filled and poor bedside manner by those who are to provide regional anesthetic techniques to keep my wife comfortable. As I was in the hallway, I could hear her in the room expressing her discomfort. This is an unfiltered, straight shooting, statement from an anesthesia provider who knows what really goes on behind the scenes in health care. I have not sugar coated nor fabricated any part of this review for the sake of my point. I wish I could have said our experience was different, but simply it was not. I've taken the time to explain this thoroughly to provide a complete experience so other patients can make well informed decisions when they decide to deliver at Cone Health Women's and Children. ZERO stars and this rating is generous.

Life Changing experience!…read more I don't write reviews, but with this experience I'm compelled to share. (LONG READ...BUT WORTH IT!!) My wife and I were truly amazed at how well our visit was at Cone Health Women & Children. The service of the staff from the time my wife was rolled into triage, to the moment my son was born, even up until we were discharged was an Overall AWESOME experience!!! The Nurses (Lauryn, Alex, Yivian) and Midwives (Lisa and Jamilla) were extremely helpful people that made this process 5 worthy stars. My wife was able to have a SUCCESSFUL VBAC after having to get an emergency c-section less than a year ago!! I was VERY against the idea of my wife using the synthetic chemical Pitocin due to past traumatic personal experience (in Houston, Tx) that a close family member had with the drug, which resulted in her having to get an emergency c-section for her first child...very scarring!! After discussing my concerns with the staff for almost 2 hours, and once I saw how in depth/detailed they were with their intentions, procedures, and genuine care for their patients, my wife and I agreed to give it a go. I realized that One bad experience shouldn't cause you to write off something that be stewarded in a better way. I could go on and on about the security/safety systems that are in place, the organization and structure, the staff professionalism (yet down to earth), the vallet parking, the modern atmosphere, but I'd run out of space... to sum it up it was a God-Blessed experience for my wife and I to be able to welcome our newest addition to the family!

WHERE to even begin? If you care at all about your loved one, please do your research and don't…read moresend them here. My aunt was brought here on 1/26/24 and it's been a nightmare for the last three weeks. The facility itself is old, out of date and dirty. With the exception of a couple of employees, the nursing staff is uninformed and unorganized. The Dr in charge of my Aunt was arrogant, condescending and misspoke several times when telling us of her condition. In no particular order of events: We were told by a nurse she was in congestive heart failure, then told she "might be", only to eventually be told she wasn't, that it was a mistake We had to ask several times for the room to be cleaned It took SIX days to get flu and x ray results We were told she had a collapsed lung, then that she didn't, only for the Dr to reference supposed collapsed lung again on the last day of her care Nurses would routinely leave trash and opened medical supplies lying around the room We had to ask repeatedly for them to put lotion on her hands and feet, her skin was so dry it was cracking. Eventually we just brought lotion from home and did it ourselves because it was clear they would not. We changed family point of contact two weeks into care to make it easier to communicate. Dr refused to cooperate, still called old point of contact but said he called me, even though I had no missed calls or voicemails When I questioned it, he responded to me "I heard you called me a liar" I called nursing staff to ask for an update on care. When I questioned a stat given, I was HUNG UP ON, then they refused to answer phone until I called from a different number The one phone call I did receive from this facility was at 750AM to tell me I would no longer be allowed to take pictures of her room and monitors. Pictures I was sending to her son in TX to update him on poor conditions and medications since there was so much miscommunication My aunt went into this facility alert and responsive. Within six days she was septic and remained unresponsive the rest of her life despite them being unable to give us a reason for it. She would regularly have hair in her mouth, in her bandages. There was more than one occasion where we found dried blood on her bedding and hands. It took them over two weeks to wash her hair; it was literally matted to the back of her head and we had to ask numerous times for them to do so. Once "palliative care" was started, no one came in to talk to us to let us know what to expect the way a normal hospital would. There is no chaplain, no hospice coordinator. It was confusion the entire last 12 hours she was alive. We never heard back from the Dr, or her case manager. She passed away at 240AM. ONLY then was it told to us that there was no morgue onsite and we would be expected to find a funeral home to immediately (before morning) to collect her body. I would like to say, ICU nurse Manny was exceptional. He was one of the few that seemed knowledgeable and caring. He brought snacks and drinks for my mother and I during the last night while we waiting during my Aunts final hours. Nurse Ashley also took the time to find a recliner for my mother to try to rest in and was very thoughtful and helpful. Throughout our stay, RT David was kind and caring. He spoke to my aunt every step of his care for her and made sure to answer any questions we had. I am sure there were a couple of others, but these three stuck out amongst a mostly cold and uninformed staff. Thank you for these three. There's so much more here; so much misinformation and lack of communication. We tried to escalate to case manager, to head of case management, even to CEO. We were told they opened two "grievances" but never heard anything else. My Dear Aunt is gone and nothing can bring her back but if you've read this far, please think long and hard before you send anyone here.

For start they had to give him. Narcan to bring him back where they OD him! They over medicated him on the 4th floor. We're from. Virginia I stayed 5 to 6 days out a week to watch him. Ok then he finally got moved to the 3rd and I'm begging them to stop giving him al Sarah Quill 100 mg at night and 50 mg in the morning and he was not prescribed that daily. They had to bring my baby back to life.. they are the worst hospital in the world that I've ever seen Sheniah Keteni is the brightest thing in the hospital Ashely head of case workers need to be fired. She is the worst disrespectful human person I ever I met ! She would sit outside my fiancé's room, knowing he's on a ventilator and yell and argue with me over nothing. i'm begging them to stop giving him drugs. She's running around, shaking her weave and twisting like it's cute. They're uneducated. They need to be investigated. We had a meeting to CEO. Her and I and her boss, but she said her boss was the CEO, which was the lady that was in a meeting with us. She was in a meeting on a Tuesday with the doctor and a couple other wound doctors or whatever they are and she was overriding the doctor talking to me. I literally had to tell her you do not override the doctor will you please be quiet you are just a caseworker she said I own this hospital.Wow! someone needs to go undercover and investigate the hospital. My baby has been in worse condition since he's been down there. His wound has never healed in four months. If I only knew what I know now God knows he would've never went there I would've never chose the hospital and do not send anyone. You do. Love their cause they no guarantee they gonna make it out. before Paul left he had this lady's room. She was around 90 or 86 good condition they had her at the nurses station talking to her, I asked what happened to the lady that was in his room two weeks ago they said she died of cardiac arrest if someone do not come and investigate Kindred Hospital as soon as possible and don't let anyone one. My fiancé been having a infection from his wound I was telling everyone their but never received antibiotics or changed bandages properly at all! They made him worse. It's sad. The case workers he had should be fired! Ashely the manger and Marie his case worker the rudest people iv ever met.
