Adjoining a more conventional park with playgrounds and such, this area offers trails through a wooded area with streams and lakes, offering many sights and sounds. It is free to enter, though a small donation is gently suggested. I had time only to head to one lake, passing an observation platform and occasional wildlife along the way. Trails varied in passability, but there are plenty of places that are easy to bring children or those with modest mobility to get a good dose of greenery, and it's not far from the center of the city at all.

At first, I didn't think I was going to like these trails because the parking area was rough (AllTrails sent us to the wrong lot) and there were so many side trails that it was confusing. But, once I pulled up the AllTrails map and we got further in, I quickly changed my mind. I enjoyed meandering through the park, and it was especially fun looking out for beavers and their tree markings.

Part of the yellow loop trail. Mostly pavement good for all ages

I have come to the park for over two years every morning to walk it. I find it to be a super safe trail super friendly staff and they have a bunch of events. The variety of terrain makes it a good walking experience and I love how it can be, but you never do the same thing every single day, I love the boardwalk. The only thing I will say is sometimes to construction on the boardwalk takes a little bit longer so it's hard to complete the loop but it's definitely well signed and there is an app that you can follow her updates in progress on the construction of the area I have always felt safe walking alone as a single female definitely one of my favorite places to go in Greenville, just get in touch with nature

Peaceful, relaxing and great nature hideaway. It is great to escape somewhere with nature sounds and beauty so close to the Cory. Free parking and entrance (donations accepted though). Park is well maintained and everyone I met on the paths was friendly. A few dogs to enjoy and even saw 2 deer. Highly recommend this state park.

Nature

We took our dog here on the trails for a walk and it was a nice nature filled experience!

We didn't walk far as I have some physical limitations. It looked nice, was grateful for the porta potty even if it made me cringe.

This is a way cool nature area, and it's so easy to get there! This park is pretty compact for a hiking area, but the water features, the trails, the wildlife, the boardwalks, the flowers.... it's just killer mannnnnn! Now you have no excuse for getting out there with nature! This place is just beautiful. There are at least 2 different parking areas, there may be more. Get on line and check the maps of this park. The park website is very helpful, it's listed at the top. You'll find lots of hikers, walkers, people on bikes, joggers, photograpy nuts like me, it's very cool. Take a look at my photos! Don't miss this special place! Don't litter, you Wack-O! LOL! ***And... don't leave valuables in your car!

I can't believe it took me 7 years to find this spot, a scant 20 minutes from where I live. I am a fledgling "birder"; this place is fantastic for a ride variety of songbirds, raptors and waterfowl. Nesting blue herons and so on. The trails are well maintained through a mixture of wetlands and forest areas. Many boardwalks allow traversing the wetlands and getting up close to waterfowl and other critters. It is very serene and relaxing when not crowded and you're able to avoid elementary school field trips :) After 12 hours hiking through half as many visits, I estimate I have only seen 60-70% of the park. A "local gem." PS: why not 5 stars? Visitors leave more trash than staff should pick up. I hope a few litterbugs read this...

I absolutely adore this park. I've gone two days in a row so far and I fully intend on going multiple times a week. The setting is absolutely beautiful with multiple creeks and streams. The nature is lush and vibrant filled with lilly pads, beautiful flowers, whimsical trees and lots of wildlife. I've seen multiple birds so far, turtles and even spotted a beaver dam on my way back to the car. You can choose to stick to a paved trail if you're a beginner or a more advanced dirt trail if you're feeling frisky! They also have multiple benches and observation points along the trails in case you get tired. It is simply gorgeous and I can't wait for my future adventures here.

Great playground!!

Love this park! Great playground with separate areas for big kids and little kids. Shades block the direct sun on many of the slides and cute little mushroom steps dot the playground.

I went to Conestee for a walk one day when I wanted an alternative to Reedy Falls and didn't have time for Paris Mountain. I was pleasantly surprised. The trails are nice, well-maintained, and one makes you feel like you're in the bayou. There are several options to try and lots of good photo opps. A good place to escape! Nice versatile addition to the park offerings here. There is a dog park on the premises in a separate location away from the trails and a play area for kids.

At Conestee Nature Park, closer to the Mauldin baseball park.

He's a great guy and is very knowledgeable and patient. I decided not to install Starlink and instead I had AT&T connect a fiber optic line to the house. Later on, I wanted a direct line from our office upstairs to the router downstairs. Jasper came out and did a thorough assessment and consultation and then returned shortly thereafter to do the installation. Jasper went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it and that everything was working at its best. He even went to the store to get the specific CAT-6 cable with the color that we wanted. He was neat, efficient, earnest and, like Quintin, very knowledgeable and professional at what he does. Both men are great to work with, as well is their Project Coordinator Devin. They will give you their all! BTW, I was only charged for the installation and it was a great value for the what they delivered. They are a Blessing indeed!

We found this fair by accident and decided to travel up to Simpsonville and stay at an Airbnb and enjoy this small town. we had never been here before and we were exited about all that we read about this fair. Now this is your typical small town fair. Lots of locals and great stuff for youth of all ages. This an event to educate and inspire community celebration of the science and technology of plant and animal production through youth participation involving the 4-H and FFA organization! The South Greenville Fair promotes responsibility, and leadership for youths by providing the challenges of competition in all phases of agriculture, horses, and livestock. and it provides a format for the community to see and experience, and helps promote the value of the environment and natural resources to preserve rural heritage. Been around since 1958! As you can see there are plenty of cows, goats and chickens, We met some of the fine kids who really put lots of hours into raising their animals to be champions. One the coolest things i haven't seen in many years and my wife has never seen (shes a city girl) was the rabbit judging contest. The judge went over each rabbit in great detail and it was very stressful for the rabbit owners! We got to meet the Fair Queen! She was a delightful young lady who took the honor with professionalism and grace. What does a fair queen get and do? Well i had to ask never being one myself! They get a $500.00 Scholarship awarded to the college of her choice~ her duties at the fair are, She will be handing out prize ribbons, riding in the tractor parade, & giving Autographs! Ok the tractor parade was awesome! I do like them and these folks tack great pride in their tractors, some of them were over 100 years old! If you look we took over 33 photos of the event and didnt even cover it all. We ate homemade ice cream, excellent homemade cookies and really enjoyed the locals we met, super friendly and they were so glad we came. There was plenty of parking and super clean porta potties. They even had men and women's porta potties! Its held in Sept of every year and well worth the trip. We will be back!

If you run or bike, this is the trail you want! This section is smack in the middle of downtown Greenville. It's very much similar to the Beltline and Silver Comet Trail in Atlanta. If you start from this section and head away from the city, you'll eventually get to parts of the trail where you don't have to worry about cars. Pros: - there's a children's park at this section - rubberized side section of the trail for 1/3 of a mile - great scenery (runs beside a creek, hits a big green space area, has some shops right off the trail about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile down heading away from city) - fairly flat - wide enough for runners and cyclists Cons: - no bathrooms (the green space further down has a bathroom but it's not opened yet) - first 2 miles do hit intersections where you'll need to be cognizant of cars - no quarter mile markers or markers in general Overall, it's the perfect spot to get most types of runs in (long, tempo, easy). Would highly recommend!
