Our hostess did a very nice job of touring us through the old olive pressing operation - I found this to be very educational and I learned a few things about olive oil. I had something black in my water glass. I told the server and he nonchalantly said "oh that's from the ceiling" and took the glass. I'm not sure if that made me feel better that it's from the ceiling or that it wasn't a dead bug. Lunch was about what you'd expect on a tour: got the job done but it won't win any awards. We were able to buy some great port wines very nicely boxed up to take home. These were varieties that generally aren't available in the states as this is the only Port collective left in Portugal that hasn't been gobbled up or shut down by big business. Great value and selection for such product and big you want some hard to find vintage Ports that you can't find easily or at all at American retailers this is great stop even if you're renting a car and self touring.
