Was enticed to stop by this store after seeing that they had Croute au Fromage for a lesser price than most places. Little did I know that I would be paying 10,50 CHF for three small pieces of bread heavily dunked in white wine with cheese.
Now, I know that's what the dish essentially is, but the presentation was horrible - literally just three pieces of bread and cheese on a plate. The bread tasted SO much of wine that the last few bites (what little bites there were) were so hard to finish, that I ended up just scraping off the soggy bread and eating the cheese.
I knew Geneva was going to be expensive, but out of my entire stay there, I didn't regret paying a high price for any food that I ate, because everything was so amazing. Everything except this place. read more
