Do not come here for cartilage piercings!!!! I got a double helix piercing here in September and I recently went to another piercer to get my jewelry switched out. This licensed piercer told me that the jewelry Connecticut Ink put in was not made for cartilage (butterfly backs) and the piercing was done wrong! My holes healed improperly due to the jewelry and somehow the piercing was made at an angle causing it to further take longer to heal. I would not recommend this place for piercings!! read more

As a student at a nearby university, myself and many of my friends have gone to CT Ink to get piercings with a wide range of results. My cartilage piercing was infected for about a year, but I am told this is pretty typical. However, as soon as I took their jewelry out and replaced it, I haven't had any problems. Likewise, they pierced it with a ring instead of a stud which can complicate the healing process. Some of my friends have had even worse experiences with their nose piercings or eyebrow piercings getting really infected. If you're just getting lobes done it's probably fine. TLDR: cheap and not worth it. Pay a little more money for higher quality jewelry and better technique. read more

I took my seventeen year old daughter to this shop last week for a nose piercing. We live locally and decided to go to this business based upon proximity and excellent reviews. It proved to be a perfect choice. The young woman who answered the phone, booked our appointment, and greeted us upon arrival was warm, thoughtful, and professional. Jeff, who did the piercing was clean, comical, and talked her through all nervousness. Piercing came out perfect, and he gave us all appropriate after care instructions. We would recommend them to others as our experience was just as we hoped it would be. If you drive by, the building has little to be desired and could easily throw off your expectations, but don't judge a book by its cover, or a business from their ugly, dated building. I can't speak for the tattoo artists but the piercers are awesome (forgot the girl's name, pretty with long brown hair) Went for a jewelry change because I thought the jewelry I was wearing was causing irritation. Instead of doing what many piercers would probably do, just make a few extra dollars & taking advantage of my ignorant self, they educated me on how to treat the irritation and told me it was best to keep my original jewelry even knowing I was willing to pay whatever to buy new jewelry and have it changed. I saw a young customer who actually got pierced walk out happily with her new lobes, probably her first piercing ever. I'll definitely be getting piercings here and updating my review after. If you're looking for awesome customer service in a comfortable environment with nice people, I'd definitely recommend this shop. read more

I had been thinking of getting my ribs inked for a while, and on a whim while driving down Route 66 stopped by to check their hours. I was fortunate to run into Holli Marie who was on break outside on a bench, and asked if she or any of the artists were into realism or tattoos that required fine details, and told her about my tattoo idea (a blue rose which I saw in a dream). She said she would love to do it, and the next thing I know I've made an appointment with her and I'm lying on my side while she's prepping. I'll start by saying how much I appreciated her enthusiasm about doing my tattoo. Not only was she clearly interested in what she was drawing, she was genuinely interested in the meaning behind it. Secondly, she really helped meeting in the middle of what I wanted; with my poor ability in describing details and her and her artistic insight, she created a beautiful blue rose that looked just like the one from my dream. The swirls she added around it, which varied in shades were an amazing touch. She impressed me further when she touched up my back piece, a hamsa I had gotten years ago from an artist who was clearly not interested in making it pop or symmetrical. It now looks like it could leap from my back. I don't know about the other artists there too much, but I will say that I plan on being Holli's customer for at least two more pieces. If you can book with her, do it :) read more

I went with low expectations as I had a gift certificate and it didn't look like much from the outside (or the inside for that matter). The guy on the phone was a little rough around the edges, but when I got there, everyone was very nice and very welcoming. The shop itself is very no frills. VERY NO FRILLS. However, my tattoo artist was amazing. His name is Stephen and I HIGHLY recommend him. Run, don't walk to see him. My tattoo was in Urdu (you heard right, Urdu), so it seemed like he was a little nervous about it. I'm glad he was, because it meant that he was thorough. It took longer than I expected, but again, it was because my tattoo was in another language that hardly anyone would recognize and Stephen took great lengths to make sure everything was correct. He checked with my cousin (who can actually read the language, since I can only speak it) to make sure every letter was in place. All in all, between going in and and getting out, it was a fast process and my artist was really friendly and professional. I was pleasantly surprised. Just be sure you've got enough cash and everything you need, because this shop is in the middle of nowhere. LOVE! read more

Very unhappy with tattoo. Came in for a simple finger band and small heart. It is crooked, the ink is uneven and blotchy. I followed the aftercare completely and it didn't help. I am from out of state so will have to have another artist fix it, but thought it was funny that the "artist" offered a touch up if I was back in the area. How nice. Should have done it right the first time. Stay away from there, or at least Jasmine I believe her name is. read more

I got a nose piercing done here that somehow flew out while I was washing my face and went down the drain. I got a brand new nose ring to hang in my nose until I got it repierced. Once I got it repierced a guy took the ring out but the dude did not give the ring back after he repierced my nose :/// that was an expensive piercing from hot topics.
