I never give reviews but I feel that OF COURSE a tattooist / tattoo shop needs a review...it's permanent and can be an intimate situation. I just want to say that I'm so happy after finally meeting Mike. I've followed him for over half a year on social media. He posted a flash sheet and it happened to have something from my favorite childhood movie. Of course I reached out. I just want to say that I haven't been tattooed in over 10years due to a horrible and very uncomfortable experience in the past. I am SO HAPPY to have gone to turnpike and see Mike. not only does my tattoo look beautiful and bright but he was just so cool to talk to, professional, clean, and easy going. I've been here twice now, each appointment I've had the pleasure of being tattooed by Chloe. Of course, the most important thing is her work; I've been continuously impressed with her line work, skill and flexibility- as well as how thorough and truly talented she is. I've been to a few different shops and met a few different artists but Chloe has been my favorite, thus far. Again, her work alone is incredible, but during each visit I've felt extremely comfortable- it's nice to know your artist truly loves what they do and I've always felt confident that I was going to leave happy with my tattoo; I booked for my next one immediately after finishing and I'm really looking forward to going back! I'm not sure why there are ANY bad reviews for this place and quite frankly it's unfair they are still posted as said jerk that is in most of these posts does not work at the shop anymore. I had the honor to be tattooed by Mike Rys last night and it was such a wonderful experience. He is so kind, so inviting and I just felt like him and I knew each other for years. We gushed over our kids, he got me on to some amazing new music (shout out to Prof) and was so clean, thorough and did an excellent job.. lines were SO clean. I have been looking for a new shop/tattooer since my old one left the State and I can proudly exclaim that I found him! Also, the shop has some killer decor and is very clean. I have wanted a nose piercing for three years and finally was brave enough to do it today! Paul was very chill but friendly, a good atmosphere for someone who was nervous for their first ever piercing. He had no problem letting my boyfriend watch me get it done, who was very excited for me haha. Everything was clean and professional. I had a few questions because I was a bit anxious, and he answered them all easily. He also checked that I was happy with the placement before piercing. He explained the simple care instructions after doing the piercing and that was it! Quick and fairly painless! Great, straightforward customer service and a cool shop! My husband and I wanted tattoos for our daughter. After seeing some work that was done by Mike Rys, we contacted him to see if our ideas were something he would want to do. The entire experience was amazing. He was great with communicating with us and he drew us each custom tattoos off of our ideas. We are both absolutely in love with our new ink. A great experience. I reached out to see if they still did walk-ins and while that is no longer the case I was able to get an appointment for the next day. Mike was extremely professional and worked collaboratively with me to draw up exactly what I was looking for in my new tattoo. The whole while we chatted like old friends and had a great time. The tattoo turned out beautiful and after we were done Mike gave me great detailed instructions both verbally and written on how best to heal my tattoo. This place is absolutely AMAZING. I reached out via facebook and got an answer almost immediately. They were able to fit me in the next day because Paul came in on his day off. I got my first tattoo and both of my nipples pierced. The place was super clean and Paul was very professional and explained in detail everything he was going to do before he did it. If you get lightheaded (like I did) they have some candies to give you to raise your blood sugar. This place is amazing and Paul did a wonderful job, I'll be returning here for every tattoo and piercing I get in the future! read more

Love it! Super clean, great decor, super friendly artists including Jacki who has done a tone of work on this bod because she is a perfectionist and deals with my constant nautical theme decisions adding her own spin , including awesome dotwork! Although I have never personally gotten a tattoo from Justin.. Ive seen his work and watched him work.. both are clean, explain what they do, are able to hold conversations, laugh and are basically therapists for their client's day to day bitching. I went to get my nose pierced and I was worried at first but the second I walked in I felt super comfortable. Inside the shop it was very nice and I didn't get the workers name who pierced my nose, but he was super chill and made me less anxious about it. Got my nose pierced very quickly after he explained everything and I felt dizzy after because of how I am with pain and the guy got me water and had me lay down until I felt better. I've been following artist Chloe for years. I've followed her to 2 different shops and this place by far is the best out of the 2. Clean, comfortable and she's blossoming there! Her bedside manner is unparalleled and anything done by her you will not regert! I've seen my share of tattoo shops and this was without a doubt the best atmosphere I've come across. Paul was very helpful and really let me take my time in deciding placement and size. Literally had my tattoo done here yesterday and was super happy- along with my mother who was just as pleased getting her first small tattoo in remembrance of her father. Jesse drew up the design I wanted perfectly which was pretty intricate in a matter of a few minutes. He did such an awesome job with the tattooing of the design as well- it looks perfect!!! Stopped in to get a quick tattoo on my mom and dad's 4th anniversary. It was not an elaborate tattoo, just a copy of "Love, mom and dad" in my step dads handwriting. Mom has been dealing with cancer and is not doing too well. They were fast, efficient, and able to take care of it for me. Thank you for something I will treasure always!!! read more

Great place. My partner had his tattoo done twice by Jesse and came out perfect. I got mines done by Mike and came out good since May 2018. We always go back to Jesse to get our tattoos done since he really cool and he really great with details. We will always go back for him. read more
