Phyllis and Bill of Connecticut Kitchen and Bath (CKB)were great right from the start! We first contacted them as Covid was winding down in 2021. They called us back the next day; only 1 out of the 4 we called, who did. We met with them at their beautiful showroom on Mill Plain Road in Danbury. We discussed several of our ideas and Phyllis came out to measure later that week. Several discussions and suggestions later, we settled on a design and ordered cabinets. Phyllis put us in touch with a great contractor, Frank with Confident Homes. Phyllis also put us in contact with a Granite and Marble countertop place, as well as an Appliance store. They had great communication with our contractor and were very patient with timing and storing of our cabinet delivery due to supply issues of other materials post-covid. As with any older home we had a few adjustments to the design once construction began. My brother was in the process of renovating his kitchen at the same time in another state. It amazed me all of the things Phyllis, Bill and Frank took into consideration, that my brother's designers never even considered. We saved a good deal of headaches, frustration and money hiring Phyllis and Bill from Connecticut Kitchen and bath. And just look at the outcome! We couldn't happier. read more

So I am just wondering what kind of person would wait "months" to hear back from a prospective bidder on a kitchen? How about picking up the telephone and calling the business owner rather than hiding behind a bad online review? Man up, honey! Why do I care, right? Because I have had not one, but TWO opportunities to work with Connecticut Kitchen & Bath - both exceptional. CTKB traveled all the way to Guilford for my kitchen (6 years later, people still stop dead in their tracks when they walk in) and first floor bath. Beautiful results, professional process, and amazing attention to detail, my budget limitations, ensuring my absolute satisfaction - from the design team, to the operations team, to the installation. So three years later, CTKB came to the house of my 92 year old mother to renovate her kitchen. A pensioner, she had definite budget constraints. I was worried about the disruption. But the team made certain to pre-plan everything so that the entire experience was seamless and my mother never missed a night's sleep. I just sold that house, as my mother unfortunately passed away recently, and it sold the first day on the market. After meeting with Neil at the Danbury Home Show, we decided to contact CT Kitchen and Bath to take advantage of their offer of a free estimate. It was Neil who answered the phone and made the appointment. The first appointment was canceled due to inclement weather, but the second he showed up late. Only 15 minutes...could happen to anyone. He discussed with us his process, which is to take measurements, and enter the ideas of ours in his computer, along with his thoughts on how things could be done. We agreed and went into detail about how we wanted to make changes, and he wrote it all down on a sketch pad. After taking all the information, he said that he was getting busy and would not be able to get back with us for about a week and a half. We said we understood and that we would wait to hear from him. That was six weeks ago. After attempting to contact Neil, and being told that he was with another customer, I asked to leave a voice mail. The message told of changes and asked for a callback. To this point we have not heard from Neil or anyone else at CT Kitchen & Bath. All-in-all, I would have to say that the experience was very disappointing and as a design team that provides that level of detail to their customer service, that it leaves me wondering about the other aspects of their service (e.g.; how well they vet their contractors, oversee the projects, ensure adherence to budget and timeline factors, etc.). I cannot recommend a company that drops the ball like this, and even if they did contact me now, I'd have to pass on their services, as my trust of them providing a quality experience is no longer there. read more

I would have actually preferred to send Phyllis Boughton (the business owner) an email with my remarks, but I couldn't find an email address for her anyplace, so this is my only opportunity to let her know what our experience in trying to plan our kitchen remodel was with one of her sales associates. Essentially, my main complaint (and it's a substantial one), is that the associate with whom we were working, didn't seem to be interested in working with us-I say that because on several different occasions, the associate neglected to get information for us that we needed to put together our budget for the remodel, and after giving him ample time to do so (months), we had to chase him down to get the information, and I don't appreciate that. It also took us months to get a Saturday appointment with him, and they don't seem to be that busy. He asked if we could make a Friday appointment instead-since we both work during the week, that wasn't possible. After getting the run around a few times, we decided to find a company where they want our business.
