Just a miserable experience from start to finish. Contacted CT Limo by phone, held for a representative for several minutes, and was then hung up on. Redialed, finally connected with a rep who said I didn't need a reservation to go from JFK to Hartford - just go to the counter at JFK and I'd be all set. Upon arrival at JFK I'm informed it will be up to 60 minutes before the shuttle leaves, which I can understand. 30 minutes later, I'm told there will be no shuttles to Hartford that evening - no other explanation offered. Spoke with Chris in "Customer Service" who offered absolutely no help whatsoever. When I told him they'd taken my reservation half an hour ago, he said they can change their schedules at any time. I ended up booking a car service for my ride (which was able to pick me up within 10 minutes of booking). I will never, ever use or recommend this company. They have truly earned the one star ratings you see on their Yelp reviews. CT Limo in one word: Disgusting. read more

Always add two hours to whatever time they recommend and you'll be ok, this is low end get you to your airport destination, they usually run late, have multiple people & stops, drivers are pleasant though, and the cost is less accordingly. read more

We had a very large meeting this week consisting of executives from various countries. Strike 1: I tried booking transportation for our VP from Mexico and found Connecticut Limo does not accept international credit cards. I had to pay for it up front and bill back Mexico's cost center - this would have been a MAJOR issue if my exec wasn't from our same organization. Strike 2: My VP's car never arrived to return him to the airport as scheduled. He ended up calling Uber. CT Limo claimed they e-mailed the address the reservation was made from (mine); but I never received an e-mail from them. It worked just fine when they sent me the ride confirmations when I reserved them. Most services allow for more than one phone number and e-mail address when booking to ensure communication if necessary. Strike 3: They had my e-mail address and my VP's international cell phone number. I was informed their system cannot dial international numbers. This is a service that provides transportation to and from INTERNATIONAL airports, yet they cannot accept international payment nor contact their international customers by phone. CT Limo is no longer an option for airport transportation for us. We will pay a few extra dollars for a private car service or Uber. read more

I have to say that the reviews scared me. A relentless stream of absolutely scathing, one star reviews. But there were no other good options for getting to the airport so I left myself PLENTY of extra time. I went online and made a reservation for a shared shuttle for the next day. Still very nervous because of the horrible reviews, I called to confirm that they got my reservation. A human being answered the phone and politely told me that yes, I had a reservation. When the shuttle was 5 minutes late I panicked and called again, and another human being answered and told me that the shuttle was almost there. Sure enough, two minutes later the shuttle arrived. The vehicle was reasonably clean and reasonably well maintained and the driver was reasonably polite. So far so good. We hit traffic as expected and the driver did some route changes to get around, and I arrived at JFK about 5 minutes early. So for me, on this day, the service worked just fine. So what is the dealio? Obviously they have the infrastructure for a viable business and they have been around for a long long time. But the reviews are amazingly and impressively horrible. The worst I have ever seen! So I am basically docking them a star for having such bad reviews, which really isn't fair because my experience wasn't bad. But there must be some COLOSSAL degree of managerial incompetence to not address the customer experience. And I'm not sure I will use them again if I have another option because of this. Definitely not going to use this company again. I waited 2 hours for my shuttle to arrive. When scheduling, they ask for your flight and arrival time but that doesn't matter because they'll come when they are ready. The process at JFK requires you to pick up your luggage and go to Grand Transport Service counter to check-in. They then find the service you scheduled with and call the company. After watching a stream of other companies walk by and pick up their customers, I stood waiting. You stand by the service desk because they simply call out your name when the driver is there. The driver got lost getting his next pick up at La guardia and pulled over to figure his stuff out. The price was about the same as some other options so look around for a more reliable option. read more

The day before I left for my trip I booked a shared shuttle to Danbury from LGA and vise versa a week later, when I touched down in NY I made sure I had enough time before the shuttle arrived to charge my phone and speak to the clerk. She then told me that I'd be traveling in a stretch limo, this may sound like a pleasant surprise, but I as an 17 year old girl traveling alone, was unsure if he was the actual car I needed or someone trying to kidnap me. Then, the day before I am supposed to leave for the airport on a shuttle at 7am, I get a call saying there was "just some issue" with my shuttle and it can't get there at 7:05am, "so can you just come to the 3:05am one?" I mean, do I have a choice??? No!!! I want to go home. This company needs to get more organized. I'm now at LGA 6 hours earlier than I needed to be because you couldn't do what I paid to do?? read more

Do not bother with Connecticut Limo. The entire experience was miserable from start to finish. Zero customer service, intentionally overbooking shuttles and understaffing drivers. I arrived in LGA at 1:30pm and waited for a shuttle until 4:30pm. I usually do not do reviews, but I have to warn people to NOT use this company. Pay for an Uber or use another service. I almost could have walked home faster. This was also not a one-off occasion. I have experienced massive delays and complete indifference towards the customer three times, no longer. I will never use them again. After the last ordeal, I was essentially told "oh well, there is nothing we can do." No empathy. No apologies. No remedies. Do not bother. Super unreliable service , and almost impossible to get a refund even it is their fault- unless you want their "store credit" which would expire in about 1 year. The worst transportation service I have ever had to deal with-- and unsafe! The first time I waited at Phelps gate for the CT Limo to take me home for thanksgiving break, I was sitting next to a woman waiting for Primetime to go to the airport. She angrily told me she has had the worst experiences with CT Limo several times and now she has switched to Primetime. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but within 10 minutes, I started to realize that exactly why she so hated CT Limo. First of all, the website has a fine print policy that if you're late to your ride, you will be fined $50 (more than half of the ticket price!). I was 15 minutes early to wait for my ride but 30 minutes passed with no sign of CT limo to NYC except one CT limo bus parked across the street. I walked over to ask that CT Limo driver, very nicely, whether he knew when our bus would arrive. He rudely answered "It's only been 15 minutes right? Be patient." So the man was a douche, whatever. The important thing was that I had a flight to catch. I wondered, though, why they should fine us for being late if they couldn't be on time themselves, but I shrugged it off. What I was not okay with, was the fact that they make no mention whatsoever of where I should wait at the airport on the return trip to be picked up, or the fact that I had to register at ground transportation or else I will not be picked up at my scheduled time. I spent 20 minutes waiting outside after my flight had arrived only to be told that the bus was full and I would have to wait another hour for the next bus because I did not wait inside at ground transportation. So I called CT Limo to clarify this whole situation. Was I going to be fined $50? Why did I not receive instructions at the time of purchase how to take the CT limo back?(turns out instructions were given halfway through the purchasing process in **fine print at the bottom of the page and after you check out, it is never to be seen again) This is what the CT Limo representative said (in a extremely rude and bitchy tone): "Uh, I have been here for 10 years and that is just how it has always been. I'm not going to argue with you about this *click*" And she hangs up on me before I can even say another word. That was kind of the last straw for me. Then, to top the night off, the bus driver very suddenly put on his brakes (because he was following too closely) on the highway, and we got rear-ended hard by the car behind us. Stuck on the highway for another hour while the police came and made the report. The bus driver then yelled at another customer, who was still asking about reimbursement for any damaged luggage, and the drove off while she was still at his drivers window trying to talk to him. He said that since it was technically the other car's fault, CT Limo would not be responsible at all for damages. Honestly, I am surprised CT Limo is in business at all. Why would people not just take Primetime, which I have observed while waiting for CT Limo, is consistently on time, with affable drivers who make sure each registered passenger is on, and has a ticket price that is $30 less expensive? With all the other better and less expensive transportation methods, there really is no excuse to take CT Limo. Don't make the same mistake that I did. read more

HEADLINE: This has turned into an epic POS transportation company ... there is NOTHING "Limo" about them. Use at your own peril, because they are all about the money, and have NO concern about their customers' satisfaction, time or experience. I haven't written a review on Yelp for over two years or so now. The experience with this POS company on Monday, November 16, 2015, compelled me to open up the Yelp log book once again ... and all for the bitter worse. Taking a flight from SFO into JFK, I booked an online reservation months in advance to get me from the airport to Union Station in New Haven. Mind you, the on-line system is fatally flawed as it won't actually email you a ticket. They know of this flaw and haven't corrected in the last six months in my experience. Checking in at the Customer Reception area in Terminal 8 (It's only American's terminal there at JFK), I was told it would be AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES. I muttered under my breath that was insane, but just sat down, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. TWO HOURS LATER, the driver shows up ... mutters something about they are short-handed on drivers and are only sending cars every two hours ... complete bullshit!!!! How can this be, unless a company is saving costs in a death spiral into bankruptcy. I get into the decrepit van and I begin to hear about complaints from my fellow passengers about a 'Waterbury run'. WTF!!!!!!!! This was supposed to be a straight shot down I-95 to New Haven. It always has been over the 30 years of using them, and NEVER have I heard of such a detour. Again, the driver, hearing a bombast of complaints from his four New Haven passengers, mentions that management has him doing this, it's not his decision. We stop at another two locations in the airport, adding another half hour. Then the driver takes 20 minutes getting the credit card information from the two passengers that didn't book on-line, and transmitting it to his dispatcher. We then proceed, NOT up I-95, but we take I-684 ALL THE FREAKIN' WAY UP I-684 TO I-84 EAST. For those of you not in the know, WE'RE LITERALLY UP NEXT TO THE FREAKIN' NEWBURGH BRIDGE IN UPSTATE NEW YORK. Our first stop (on the way to New Haven, mind you), is SOUTHBURY ... Our next stop (on the way to New Haven) is WATERBURY ... OUR NEXT STOP, ON THE WAY TO NEW HAVEN, IS FARMINGTON .... FREAKIN' FARMINGTON!!!!!!!! We back track for ten miles down I-84 WEST, and take I-691 to I-91 down into New Haven, first stopping at Phelps Gate at Yale (of course), and then get dropped off at Union Station .... FINALLY. SO GET THIS ... IT TOOK ME FIVE HOURS TO FLY FROM SFO INTO JFK; THREE THOUSAND MILES .... THREE THOUSAND FREAKIN' MILES!!!!!!!!!!!! FROM CHECK IN AT TERMINAL 8 AT JFK, IT TOOK ME CLOSE TO SIX HOURS TO GET TO NEW HAVEN. AN ABSOLUTE ABORTION. They have absolutely no concern for their customers. They should die, as a company, right now ... heed my review ... you'll regret it if you drop another dollar into this dying parasite of a POS service entity. NEVER AGAIN!!! Horrible experience. Called CT limo after flights canceled to previous day from JFK. Shows up 2.5 hrs later. Then proceeded to pick up multiple people (Dispatcher Tracy kept calling) at the airport for the next 2 hrs. while seated in a unheated van in January. Driver said theres heat only in the front area of van....said too hot for him to run it to heat the rear seats. Indian driver blew horn constantly swearing at traffic at the top of his voice. We were held captive in this cold stinky van for over this 2 hrs. period before leaving airport for final destination. Basically took 6 hrs to go from JFK to Bpt, CT. I paid 65.00 for this...unbelievable. What a lousy run company...just want your $$$$65...never again! And get this!!! (3) people gave their charge cards to driver for payment. He then reads the credit card numbers "out loud" to the dispatcher on the phone for payment. Anyone could of wrote these number down... STAY AWAY at all costs!!!!! read more

I wish I'd read these reviews before I booked my trip! Clearly Connecticut Limo doesn't care at all whether their customers are happy with their service. I arrived at the International Terminal at JFK right on schedule and checked in at the ground transportation desk shortly before 9 pm. I was told that the shuttle would arrive in 45 minutes to an hour. It actually arrived after 10 pm. After making an additional pick up at LaGuardia and dropping off passengers along the route to my destination, the shuttle took a turn north and drove all the way to Danbury before beginning the 45 minute trip back to Milford. I arrived at my destination around 1 a.m. - 4 hours after I checked in and 3 hours after I boarded the shuttle. If anybody had told me at check in that I would not arrive home for over 4 hours, I would have just taken a cab and been home around 10:30. The lack of communication made me feel like I had been taken hostage. I emailed a complaint to the company but have not received a reply. Very disappointing. read more

F'ing awful. I booked my limos and shuttle for my wedding. The gentleman that i spoke to was incredibly nice however once my payment went through, I never heard from him again. Fast forward 3 days before my wedding. I placed ten phone calls and sent five emails-none were retuned. I called to dispatch and spoke to a woman who for lack of a better term was an ignorant rude bitch who hung up on me because "she don't do that as her job." I had to call into dispatch again and spoke to a pretend supervisor who finally confirmed my reservation but could not guarantee they would arrive on time. Day of wedding: Limos and shuttle arrive on time but the drivers spoke zero English. They had no idea where they were going and got lost going to a location less than five miles from the pick up point. They were not helpful. The bar in one limo was half stocked and there weren't any glasses for drinks. CT Limo was the worst vendor. I will never use or recommend them again. read more

If I could leave "no stars" for this service, I would. I have not used them for about 12 years because they hosed me on a return trip to California. At that time, the van I reserved space on was full! When I told the dispatcher that I reserved a space, his reply was something to the effect of: "I know, but it is full." They put me and my family on a later one (now that we did no t have "reservations") and that one left us at the wrong terminal. We caught our flight as the last four to board the plane. Thank God it was pre-9/11 or we would have missed the flight. Flash-forward to a couple of days ago. Mu daughter goes to school in Fairfield and I had no other options than using CT Limo, but I thought they had to have improve...right? I mean it has been over 1o years! WRONG!!!! Same thing, the "limo" my daughter had a reservation on failed to show and they put her on a later one. She made the plane in time since I went with an earlier time than suggested, but it still was more stressful than it needs to be. CT Limo basically has a monopoly on the state, so there is no other viable alternative. When will the DOT smarten up and allow competition? Super Shuttle is not great, but it is better than CT Limo! read more

Ummmm. Seriously. You tell us when we arrive. No call before hand. Nothing. And no way to fix this??? How are you in business? You took our money. My husband is now driving my daughter to JFK which means I can't get to work (nor can he) until he is back but all your worker in NH can say is too bad and we should have gotten a phone call. Don't use them, please! Still waiting for them as I write this review. It's going on 3.5 hours that we have been here stranded at the airport. Their excuse is the driver is stuck in traffic! I called and spoke with A few people and asked to speak with a manager, there isn't one. I asked what their policy is for how long they make their customers wait, they don't have one. The only thing they will do is tell you to call Lisa during regular business hours for a refund. This company is really close to being a legitimate scam. Definitely reporting them to the BBB and going to write a letter to the transportation authorities at the airport to try and discourage the use of this company. Guess what? Positives: - my shuttle showed up in New Haven - we got to the airport - we were dropped off at our individual terminals Negatives: - I took the JFK/LGA shuttle. The 11:00 showed up at 11:25. The Newark shuttle still was not there. - The vehicle smelled awful. You know that "we know this smelled awful so we used an entire case of Febreeze" smell? It was as if they did that and then left the windows closed in hundred degree weather for ten days. - While the crying baby and man trying to drown out the crying baby by playing Goyte on full blast were not the driver's fault, his response of turning the radio up even further made the entire ride one huge headache-inducing nightmare. - Wearing headphones when that doesn't work is never okay. DO NOT USE!! We booked our reservation for a 3pm shuttle and arrived as instructed at the pick-up point by 2:45. At 3:15 we began to worry, so we called and after being on hold for a while finally spoke with someone who assured us our shuttle would be there shortly. 3:30 - still no van so we called back and were told we were the next stop and the bus driver would be there in 10 minutes. 3:45 - we frantically called my boyfriend's parents as I was going to miss my flight and they left their event to come pick us up and drive us to the airport. At 3:50 the 4pm shuttle showed up! The driver explained that Connecticut Limo outsources their shuttles, and that he hears this story all the time. Apparently the guy who was supposed to leave New Haven at 2pm never showed so the shuttle was cancelled. Unfortunately, no one from the company thought that information might be useful to us. No phone call, no email, no text, nothing. This is completely unreliable and unprofessional service. read more

I'm sitting in the shuttle right now, upset at myself for not listening to other Yelp reviews. CT limo is an awful service. I arrived at jfk and went to the service desk where I made a reservation. The attendant told me to wait as the driver would arrive in 25-30 minutes; he arrived in about 20. Once I got in the van with two other passengers and Paid the $68 to Norwalk train station, we began to just drive around jfk looking for more passengers. We did for just under an hour, visiting terminals on multiple occasions to see if there's anyone else. After a few stops one passenger got off in frustration - I wish I had followed. We're now at laguardia airport picking up one more passenger. I've asked multiple times how many more stops we're going to make and each time I'm told this is the last stop. I got in the shuttle at jfk at 3:50pm and it's now 5:30 and we haven't even left laguardia Please for your sake do not ever take this shuttle read more

Nowhere does it say it on their website but these shuttles sometimes only run every 2 hours. What happened to us is we booked a reservation at Hartford, plane arrived at 9:05-which Connecticut Limo knew our flight and time, and they left and the next shuttle did not come until 11:00pm -so we took Uber. I'm not sure where to begin. The driver arrived 2.5 hours late for our 4PM pickup. He called at 3:45 to say he was 5 minutes away and then every 10 to 15 minutes for the next nearly 3 hours to tell us he was 10 minutes away but traffic was really bad. We trusted this company to get us home and ultimately sat at the airport for far longer than our flight. On the return trip, the driver arrived timely but had a car that had not been cleaned. The limo had empty bottles all over the floor and seats, had half-filled cups everywhere and the seats were wet. I'm not sure what the expectations are, but to me this is super unacceptable for a $400 ride. Never again would we even consider CT limo, there must not be another car service in the country that operates this poorly. read more

Not mentioned as you purchase and you only find out when your travel plans change. My niece took this service and also waited and waited. If I could give a zero I would. My family and I used this service to drive us to and from LaGuardia Airport in New York because we didn't have someone to drive us at the times we needed. We had two different drives on the way to and from and they both were TERRIBLE! What made things much worse was that two of our passengers get carsick easily and we would have hoped a service that "specializes" in driving people around would have done a better job. Our first driver was late. He drove way too fast down the windy roads my family lives on and was very heavy on the breaks. You know that one guy who always breaks too hard on the highway for no reason? Yeah that was us. Second driver was also late. He couldn't find a way into the airport and was parked away from where the pickup/drop-off area was. Our flight arrived on a Friday afternoon, so we know there would be traffic, especially driving on the Merritt. But our driver turned the drive into a three hour nightmare. He would fly off the exits, blow through lights and stop signs JUST TO GET BACK ON THE HIGHWAY. It didn't save us any time whatsoever! And he didn't do this just a few times; we counted him doing this over ten times. At the end of the roller coaster ride, everyone in the car felt sick and our two badly-affected-carsick passengers were basically holding their hands over their mouths. Honestly, you'd be much better off paying a stranger to drive you than these so called drivers. I purchased a round trip ticket between Milford & JFK. The trip to JFK was fine. When I returned to JFK on the flight, on the date and time I reserved CL was not there. I called to let them know that I was there and I was told I would have to wait for a few hours.for a 90 minute ride! CL had my flight info when the reservation was made. I sought alternative transportation instead. Trying to get a refund for the no show was a joke. No customer service available. No response. This company is not a good choice. I am writing this because I just hope that I can save someone some money with this review. Please be aware that they will not refund you or help you at all with your cancelation. This is why companies like Uber and Lyft do so well.. because companies like this don't care about customer service and are not held accountable. My flight was changed and I made sure to cancel my service with plenty of time. Even after speaking with customer service and being told that I would be refunded with the exception of a 50 dollar booking fee, the full purchase still went through my credit card. I was so skeptical using this service because I paid before I saw the reviews. But I'm glad I gave them a chance. I scheduled the pick at Phelps Gate a day in advance. He picked me up at exactly 345am. He picked up several others. The driver even took the time to help a passenger find her phone by calling it for her. I was the only person going to LGA so he dropped me off first. I'm not sure what happened with the others who rated this service, my experience great & uneventful. Booked a round-trip ticket between JFK and New Haven. The trip to the airport was fine, but DO NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ever use their shuttle service to return from the airport. My flight was delayed significantly -- didn't think this would be a problem since their site lets you pick a return time every 2h. But NOPE. When I arrived and called CT Limo to check in, I was advised the next shuttle would be available *FIVE AND A HALF HOURS LATER*. Plus two hours to actually drive back to New Haven. They are pretty good at getting from New Haven to Bradley with their fairly regularly scheduled shuttle... They are absolutely horrible on the way back home. Like an absolute nightmare. My sister and I used Connecticut Limo last weekend, LaGuardia to Wallingford and Wallingford to JFK; and we could not have been more pleased. Drivers were on time. Vehicles were clean and comfortable. Driving was efficient and safe. And both young men who drove us could not have been more courteous and pleasant. We truly enjoyed them. On the first ride (with Ezz), we were in a shared van, though we were the only riders. For the second trip (with Mumin), the young man used his own new clean car. We definitely will use Connecticut Limo again, and we are recommending it to our friends. read more

I downloaded Yelp again just to write this review because I'm that bummed about this. I've used Connecticut Limo three times and each time has been bad. While the online booking is good, the customer service and drivers are bad. The first driver yelled at me for a booking error not on my end, the second driver was playing YouTube videos on his phone, and on the third occasion I waited an hour for the limo to arrive to the airport only to then wait until hour in the limo despite being told it would be living at a certain time. It's additionally very disorganized. The drivers never seem to know who they're there to pick up, so despite booking the service and reserving the car, they have no idea what's going on. I would recommend finding another mode of transportation to get to your destination because boy oh boy this one is not great. read more

I booked round trip to return August 27th. Came in to JFK i had lost paperwork dispatcher claimed the return trip was used on 19th(i was in IRELAND) would only bring me back if i gave driver a credit card. Then waited over 2 hours to be picked up (told 30 minutes when i talked to them) other passengers also 2 hour wait. Came home found paperwork that confirmed reservation for 27th. Called spoke to same very nasty lady who says they will only correct problem if i fax or bring in paper work! Rude, nasty, the customer is always wrong.
