I had a shoot with Steve today, and it went excellently. He helped me out with a few poses esp…read more positioning of the arms and turning the body, and we were able to have a good laugh and chat in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere whilst still maintaining a professional setting. We shot in his home studio, I provided two different types of dress and also a shirt for a more casual look. I was able to really practice my posing, and crack out many different poses, which I'm grateful to Steve for, as it was a great opportunity for me. I can't wait to see what the pictures look like, but I'm sure they'll be amazing. He offered to help suggest some poses to me as well, however I took it as an opportunity to practice what I know (with some guidance if my poses looked dodgy, of course). He even gave some more technical information to me on clam shell lighting, how it bounces off of walls, how the way the figure is angled can make all the difference, and much more. Again I seem to be reviewing an entire village. It has a…read morewonderful little show in May..very friendly..in a field in Jubillee Gardens. The gardens themselves are very pretty and great for picnics. They also have an open air swimming pool where the water is warmer than a bath. Tennis courts, bowling green, cricket and a golf club. Then go for a walk in the woodlands and see the tearooms..something of a bygone era. Here too was the Spa and hospital. In the middle of the woods is The Kinema in the Woods situated in the centre of the Pinewoods is one of the treasures of Woodhall Spa and is completely unique. Housed in a converted cricket pavilion, when it opened in 1922 it was one of the first cinemas in Britain. It is the only cinema in the country to employ back projection and also offers regular entertainment on an original Compton Captain Organ. Little shops and cafes in the main street where you can get a meal or a cream tea. The shops are arcaded and look as if they should be at the seaside. Some nice hotels and pubs too. This is Dambuster territory and here they lived. Well worth going for a day out as there is something for every age.

County Assembly Rooms (brings thoughts of Jane Austen to mind) was built in 1745 and is used for a…read morelot of different functions and also houses the local Freemasons lodge. I once walked though the main room when it was set up for the masons..looked like it was set for a black magic ceremony. I booked the whole ground floor for a couple of years to put the craft fare on at the Lincoln Christmas Market (they do it themselves now) and the rates were reasonable. Hirable for weddings and banquets. The food is good. One of the Christmases we slept on the floor with the chefs who had to be up really early and had a great breakfast. (Accomodation is next to impossible when the market is on). In the back room they have the most amazing Grinling Gibbons fireplace I have ever seen. Must be worth a fortune. 2 bars. They have crafts and antique shows on throughout the year. Anyway this is for my ghost guide: A phantom Cavalier was spotted by a member of staff near the ballroom, before vanishing into the preverbal thin air. Other staff members are reportedly too afraid to venture down into the basement after hearing strange noises. One waitress spoke of seeing a Cavalier man in the doorway to the ballroom and then he just vanished. One of the upstairs rooms becomes icily cold at night. One of the Dining Rooms also used to be a card room where a lot of murders occurred. I guess Cromwells men came to the city so Cavaliers may not be too obscure.
