HORRIBLE customer service!!!! I have been a customer for years but that has ended. Bought tv, they opened the box, did not remove the white strip on tv. When we go the tv home unloaded and took off wrapping there was a small crack in the right bottom corner. We put on dresser crack spread now we have lines on the side and bottom of the tv. Conns refusing to assist because we did not tell them within the first 24 hours. Instead we told them within 48 hours. We required help to lift the tv on the dresser so waited for family to come and assist with lifting, After buying appliances electronics and furniture over the years this is the customer service they are offering, NONE!!! read more

Worst online ordering experience in the world!!!! I ordered a microwave online, to pickup at the distribution center. I added to pickup person. When my husband arrived at the distribution center he was told he was not on the slip. I had to call the customer service number. I did and waited 2+ hours for a representative. When I received my furniture approximately 2 weeks later I noticed that material was ripping because of a defect. It took me 2 months for them to send someone out, then they sent me the same chair with the same defect. I noticed that when I was a day late they start blowing up my phone. I tried to combine my accounts, I have 2, so that I wouldn't have this problem and I was unable to do that. Well Beryl hit and I had no lights but it didn't stop Conns from calling me every few until my lights were on and I paid them. I will never do business with these people again. read more

This place is probably the worst appliance store on the PLANET, they have a big scam going on. They baited me to buy a refrigerator, a very nice one at that. They told me it would be 0 percent interest the first year and that I would get a phone call and email prior to the expiration of the 0 percent (same as cash) interest contract. I never got a call, an email, a text regarding the 0 percent contract ending, NOTHING. Soon after the 0 percent contract ended, they called me about my account, and then I asked them how long do I have before I have to pay the refrigerator off. They said oh sorry, your -0- percent contract ended. I couldn't believe it. I asked them to send proof that I was contacted, they said they would send proof, its been 15 calls later and I have yet to get any proof. Every time I call, I get hung up on, treated like nothing, and threatened. I know tape all my calls from CONNS. I thought about a lawsuit. It's a shame that they care so little about their customers. Fortunately, my financial situation has changed and I can easily pay this thing off, but that's not what I want to do. I need to expose them for their fraud. They are the worst of the worst. Let me Start with Our sales Rep Mrs. April was great. absolutely enjoyed working with her and the entire staff. Now the Issue: After the purchase the delivery crew was scheduled to arrive between 1 and 4:30 pm, they called and let us know they were running late (no big deal). They arrived at 5:15pm and installed the washer and dryer we purchased but they failed to bring the proper Dryer Plug so they removed my old dryers plug and installed it ( no reimbursement to me was given for the dry plug I paid for). They also Failed to bring the Stainless water lines I paid for and instead installed plastic lines that looked like stainless, again no reimbursement was given. This is where it gets really bad, The ran the DRAIN LINE to the Washer INSIDE MY WALL (NOT IN THE DRAIN PIPE) then started the washer and flooded the inside of my wall and garage. I then got on the phone and was helped by Ashley Miles( Great support and very Helpful) she got the delivery/installation guys back in route. Upon arrival the install guy apologies for the issue as he hung his head in shame. I then instructed him on how to to properly run the drain line to the Drain pipe. After he did it he then took a photo of it being ran correctly. I have been dealing with their Claims Department (A Big F****** Joke) and explained what happened and sent attached photos to them. Their 1st response is the installer sent them photos and they did their job correctly LMFAO. I then Asked if they even looked at my photos that were sent the same day of installation, Grady McGaha responded with no they were unable to open them. I then resent them and reaerated exactly what had transpired with the install crew and asked how the installer could have done their job properly. Grady Responded they were looking further into it. I received the following a day later "Good Afternoon Robert Shull, Thank you for your assistance and patience during our investigation of this matter. We have been able to reach a decision on your claim and regret to inform you that we are unable to accept liability on behalf of UST and the Delivery Contract Carrier. Based on all documentation and photos the team took of the delivery the team appeared to hook up the washer to the best of their ability. As such, we must respectfully deny any payment on your claim. We very much appreciate your business with Conn's Home Plus‍ and hope that you will remain a valued customer. If you have any additional documentation that you feel may alter our decision, feel free to contact me. Attached you will find a copy of our Final Determination Letter for your records. Hard to believe they can pump your wall full of water and not be held accountable in anyway. DO NOT RECCOMEND HAVING CONNS INSTALL ANYTHING IN YOUR HOUSE AS THEY ARE CLEARLY NOT QUALIFIED. At this point I would Let Conns install the wheels on my Daughters Tricycle. IF you do decide to let them install anything I Highly Recommend that you watch their every move and film the entire thing. I must say that I am extremely dissatisfied with Conn's and their customer service. Not sure how many people were able to read the post that was posted in July 2018 (a month ago from this post) , but now not only do I STILL have a billing issue - now I have an issue with my fridge. The original product that we purchased. For nearly 8-9 months we have had Conn's come out about every month to service our fridge. With the top ice maker, water from the water line leaks down between the wall of the door and the bucket that the ice is dispense in. It also ends up leaking into the bucket which then freezes - thus freezing all of the ice cubes together and they cannot dispense through the door. They've replaced the ice maker about 5+ times, 2 times they've told us that it is due to the door that opens and closes to release the ice gets stuck, it lets in hot air and melts the ice, and this last visit they've replaced the entire door. NONE of these fixes have solved the issue. Now given, they did not build the fridge. This isn't the issue at hand. Now having an ice maker out may not seem such a big deal, and our model of fridge does have the dual ice maker where it's located in the freezer too, but this ended up affecting BOTH ice makers. We think the bottom one was affected due to having to help pick up the load of the other, but we're not 100% sure. It has taken them nearly a MONTH to finally approve an exchange as we've had them come out at least 8 times in less than a year of OWNING the fridge. Today we get the call about the approval and getting information back on what fridge we are wishing to replace this fridge with. We obviously do not wish to have the same model (It was an LG French door, cannot remember the model number itself) and when we originally went to the store to discuss this, we looked and found the fridge we wanted in exchange. It was only a couple hundred dollars in difference than the one we originally purchased. We are finishing things up and they explain to use that we would have to pay the different for the new fridge we are wanting. Mind you, it's been a month and the fridge now is almost $1000 in difference as when we saw it, it was on sale apparently. We had spoken to the manager this past weekend at the store about how we worried about the price as it's no longer on sale. He was honest and stated that it would be up Customer Service end of things to get that all settled for us. Mind you, since we first went to Conn's, we never received calls. Coming to find out they had the incorrect phone number to begin with (though we confirmed our phone numbers at the time of our purchase in January) and had to go into the store EVERY weekend since to get things handled. So now, we have a fridge that is leaking water, which is now leaking outside of the fridge, the bottom ice maker is barely making any ice and I'm being charged roughly $150 a month in interest on a contract that I was lied to about being 3 years no interest (please refer to post back in July 2018 for that story). So, to explain why they are getting a 1 star, though if I could give a 0 star I would, it is due to Conn's poor Customer Service. The only great thing is the manager we spoke to at the Pearland Location: Eric Jenkins. Though he could not help us, he handled the entire situation professional and assisted us as much as he could from his end. Never again will I buy from Conn's. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! Terrible staff, furniture and pricing!! My pregnant wife and I just purchased outlet first home. We need furniture because what we had was to big for our new house. Let me make this as to the point as possible. Staff was not knowledgeable, selection of furniture was disappointing, and the amount of time wasted waiting on them trying to make a deal was ridiculous. It reminded me of buying a car at uncles joes lemon lot. Then the manager sherry the manager got involved made a bunch of promises and told us to come back the next morning everything would be done we would only need to sign. We were called the next morning told the sales guy we would come by in the evening. Showed up around 9pm met with a new sales guy because sours had the day off. Nothing was ready and the financing term limit was incorrect. I requested the manager and a store employee named Chris claimed time Be a manager. He had been sitting quietly listening to the whole thing. I explained this is what the store manager told us and everything should be done. I instructed him to call his boss and get it fixed because it was already late and I was not happy. Chris is the sorriest excuse for a manager I have ever seen. He's rude, he doesn't care about customer service and has no motivation to take care of the customer. After telling him what a lousy manager he was we left. If you read anything read this. GO TO AMERICAN FURNITURE WAREHOUSE. Got my furniture same day great selection and nearby. Located on 45 near Baybrook mall. Amazing selection, better pricing and quality then cons and better financing. I purchased a living room set, a master bedroom set, dinning room and an office. Got some new cell phones for my kids at Best Buy. One of the numbers was apparently used in the past, and we have had ten calls in one day from Conns collections department for the past week. Sometimes the calls were all at one time, one right after the other. I told them we are not associated with Conns, we have never purchased from Conns, nor have we ever been into a store, we just activated this phone number, so please remove us from the call list. WE ARE GETTING TWENTY CALLS NOW. Thank God we are within the return policy for the phones, and will return the line to deactivate, and replace with another number. Horrible customer service, brought a 82 Samsung tv. The idiots carrying the tv (idk why they don't have a dolly at the store) slipped on the carpet exiting the building and bumped the bottom of the box. When we got home the tv had black and red lines across the top of the screen. Tried to bring it back and they argued with us saying once it crooked the door the issue is mines. Instead of swapping the tv out she not so smart manager wanted to argue on policy. Horrible customer services. You can clearly see on camera the guy tripped and bumped the tv box. read more

Complaint about salesman making promises about 3-years no interest after being asked several times during the time at the store and through the whole process of the sale if we qualified. Was told, apparently on TWO occasions that we qualified for 3-years no interest but it was a lie. Found out, nearly a year after the first account and 5 months after the second account when I noticed that the balance didn't compute with my calculations, that we were being charged interested per DAY. NOT at ALL happy. Called the customer service line to speak with a manager/supervisor. Spoke to Nicole, and she stated that they needed to go based off of what was in black and white on the contract, in which, I completely understand. BUT - when you have salesmen trying to make money to pay their bills and are telling people something different OR even OMITTING a fact of how the customer did or did not qualify for the financing option they've expressed they want and not the other, then the company should uphold what the salesmen promised or in some shape or form help remedy the issue. The reason for this is because they have hired them and what the salesman states while on the premises and within the uniform reflects the company. I also asked Nicole for copies of statements so that I'm aware of what is being charged and a break down of what my payment goes towards. She explained that she can provide details of PAST payments, but was not able to provide a statement or even a laid out plan of the payments for the 36 months that I apparently signed up for. Why would they not be able to do that? She stated that due to the type of loan and payment plan if I pay more one month or pay it off early, it would reflect differently. My question after that was, well how was the payment calculated over a 36 month time so that they knew what my monthly payment would be? Surely that would line it all out and is something that can be provided to me. Apparently, it wasn't lined out and something they can't provide me. Any loan/payment plan that can't provide you with an outline I feel would be hiding something. Definitely, have learned my lesson on this. Though I understand the "he said, she said" deal but I would not be one that would've signed up for any other payment plan with my purchases than the 3-years no interest. If we weren't offered that, then we would've walked out. Will say that you've lost a customer and one that will not have anything good to say about Conn's or recommend to friends and family. May not seem like a big deal losing my business but the more people realize, the less business you'll have. read more

Never had a problem. From in store assistance, to finance, to costume service. We bought all of our TVs, most furnitures, and appliances from Conns. It's been almost 7 years and everything is still working well! Just wanted to upgrade to a bigger refrigerator, and just made another purchase. I was satisfied with everything, from start to finish. I don't know why some people encountered some problems. That's why I felt the obligation to write this review since we have made multiple purchases and financed over the seven years and I have no complaints. Is it luck? Went down to the Con store, and yes I spelled it correctly. Bought my appliances and used there financing. After receiving my first bill, we realized they added a $85 delivery fee. It was supposed to be free delivery. When we call to fix the problem, they removed the charge. The following month, they re added the charge and added a extended warranty with out us knowing. 2 hr later on the phone, they agreed to remove the BS charges. Surprise surprise, the following month, they not only added the warranty, the delivery charge, but also added $20 for a water line. Wow Btw. If you buy from the con store and use there credit, the automatically charge you for a extra warranty if you don't take them your home owners insurance policy. Screw Conns !HORRIBLE PLACE !!! My poor grandmother purchased a brand new washing machine last year and the motor blew up out of nowhere!!!! .... and apparently they have stupid policy that they forgot to mention to her prior before she purchased the washing machine.... that if its installed outside the actual home there is no extended warranty... very unprofessional we even went in store and spoke to the manager and he didn't even know that policy existed until he called around! ??? Anyways thats not the problem anymore we have that sorted out finally.... but shes been paying off the damn washing machine paying $32 every month for 2 years ..... and I'm her witness I see her make the checks and mail them well last October 2016 payment she mailed and apparently Conns are saying that they didn't receive the payment which means it got lost in the mail... which It didn't....because she drives to the post office every day and I go with her to mail it! .... and they have been calling her house phone and cell phone harassing her every day they call her at least 10 or 15 times a day every day for the $32 that I know she mailed that they must've lost or STOLE!!!! And she's been paying them every month up until now... and now they're saying that they didn't receive April 2017 payment of $32 and thats a bunch of BS!!! THEY SURE DID!!!! Don't walk away from this Conn's, RUN AWAY!!! There is a reason this location has 1 1/2 stars. I ordered two queen size mattresses from this location. Both were supposed to be SOFT mattresses. Conn's delivered two FIRM mattresses. I didn't realize they were firm until after the delivery guys left. Both the firm and soft mattresses looked EXACTLY the same. Once I realized Conn's had delivered the wrong mattresses I called them to come get the incorrect mattresses and was told they wouldn't fix their mistake. The sales person I had ordered from apparently had written down the product number for the FIRM mattresses by mistake. I asked their customer service department directly "So Conns delivered the wrong mattresses and I have to pay for them?" Her response, "Yes." RUN RUN RUN AWAY. FAST!!!!! read more

I tried to reach someone in management and even told the representative I did not mind driving to Beaumont if I needed to. We have not had a functional washer and dryer for over 4 weeks. That's one month... It took a week to get the appointment set up, then the wrong parts came in, another week, then the technician had one part and someone else had the other. Another week or more went by. In the end, we placed the warranty claim on 14 October and they came out to finally fix the machines on 16 November. Now the washer has to be unplugged each time you start a wash load to reset it or it will not start properly. My wife told me this evening that the dryer is now not working right. It stops and indicated the drying cycle is complete, but the clothes are still wet. This totally unacceptable. We have spent thousands of dollars with Conn's but I have learned my lesson. The machines are defective and should be replaced. PS. The technician, George whom we tried to contact several times did not return my call until I left him a voice mail that I was calling corporate. Then when he returned to attempt to repair the machines, he had the nerve to tell my wife that he would appreciate it if she gave him all 5's on the survey so he could get his bonus. On 12/08/2013 I ordered a Hotpoint washer and dryer set ($399.99 ea) from the Pearland, Tx. store front and I was told that both of these items were in stock at the warehouse and that I would have these items delivered to my house on 12/09/2013 and that we should receive a phone call regarding the delivery. Well this morning I received the call and was informed that I will only be receiving the dryer, due to the washing machine being out of stock. I purchased a pair of recliners at Conns Pearland store. Four months after I purchased them, the color started fading on the one that was used more often. I called the store to report this and I was told that fading was not covered by the warranty. This is a disgrace that I bought something that would fade. I don't recommend Conns furniture to anyone. I got a tv from the Pearland store on Broadway a year ago. I was close by and stopped in to get a soundbar. When I walked in, I said I wanted to just look around. A salesperson followed me throughout the store. I asked her over and over to just give me room to look. She was about three feet away from me the entire time. I get it, she's there to help. But I was being treated like a criminal. I told her that I wanted her to step back. She said no. I tried to walk away and she stayed within arms distance from me. I asked if she treated everyone this way or just the black customers. She just smiled and said that this was how they are trained. So I decided to leave the store. Before walking out of the door I tried to talk to the manager. He was very very very insulting. I asked him how he would feel. He said the salesperson was new and he gave me a card. Wow! WORST experience ever trying to buy a fridge. The salesman was awesome and did his best to help and accommodate me but the corporate office made the decision not to price match from Best Buy b/c I wouldn't hand them a paper ad. Because the ad was online (even though we could tell them what page # the fridge was on that I wanted to buy according to the requirements of their price match policy), they refused to price match over $110! They lost not only the sale of the fridge but also any future purchases I might've made in their store! I won't ever step foot in that place again! So I wasted a couple of hours and the salesman's time was also wasted over a price match hotline hothead who refused to sell me a fridge! What a shame!
