My husband and I purchased furniture for our daughter's home. The furniture arrived yesterday (May 24). The loveseat had a tear from a box cutter knife, so I refused the loveseat. The sofa and oversized chair had stains, which the delivery person told me should have come off. I replied that this was brand-new expensive furniture and that I should not have to take stains off of new furniture. A few hours after they left, I noticed another stain on the bottom of the oversized chair. I was told that my husband and I would receive a call within forty-five minutes regarding the loveseat replacement; however, a couple of hours passed, and I had to contact the store. I spoke with Sean, one of the managers, who was extremely helpful, polite, and professional. I emailed him with additional pictures and am now waiting for a resolution. Once I receive a resolution, I will post a follow-up review. I just got off the phone with Victoria (manager), a different experience from Sean. She was rude and unprofessional. BUYER BEWARE! A very average store with very friendly employees. The store itself was very clean. If you aren't familiar with the location, it's where a former Food Lion used to be years ago, down the strip from the AC Moore. The store is quite large and has a bit of a Kmart feel, not high-end at all. We actually went in looking to replace our mattress and had a very friendly, very patient sales woman. We stopped by the tv department, prices were pretty good for early Black Friday deals. We did leave empty-handed, though - just overwhelmed by the options, selection and truly not knowing if we wanted to spend any money. Doubt we'd buy furniture, the prices were quite high on the few pieces that we looked at. A tb console that we thought was nice was $700. We've definitely seen a comparable one for less. customer service is terrible I walk in was greeted by young fella, helping someone after he finish helping the guy he never came over to help me. It was two other women. They were sitting at the desk talking about HR right behind the desk they didn't acknowledge me or try to help me. I purchased a GE stove less than 6 months ago. Over two weeks ago, my oven and clock stopped working. I still have burner top capability. I have reached out to the company regarding the one-year standard warranty and repair. They advised me if they sent someone out and it was minor, I will have to pay over $400. This is with a one-year warranty. We have been without an oven for weeks now. I am still making payments on this GE range with no working oven. Who or where do I turn to for help on this issue? My mother has said no more appliances from CONNs. I'm not savy on repairs. What is minor? The oven doesn't work. We purchased furniture last year during COVID and were told it would be a few months. It was understandable and we were ok with waiting. A few weeks in we get a call that said if we don't take the floor model our order will be cancelled. I requested a discount because let's face it we don't know how long the couch sat on the floor how many people tried it etc. I was promised a discount and it would show on my statement which almost a year in had never showed up . I purchased a new washer and dryer that was delivered on Friday. They extolled the virtues of their extended warranty and interest free financing. On Sunday, the dryer started to display an error message. I couldn't get it to reset, I called Conn's to get a replacement. They told me it would be repaired! I've had it less that 72 hours and your not going to replace the unit with a new one? Sears, Lowe's, would have replaced it with no question. This makes me wonder about the warranty they sold me....I will NEVER purchase from Conn's again. read more

My Fiancé and I went into this store to browse the furniture selection. Upon entering we were greeted at the front door and asked what brought us in. We told the sales man that we were looking at furniture to get ideas. The man kept pressing for a better answer saying things like, "well there has to be something specific..". Again, we told him nothing specific just browsing. Instead, of letting it go he rephrased his question and asked it another time. He made a comment that he "we came there for something specific just like he came here to work today" and "needs to say the days specials because it's his job". This company has the worst maintenance service. I purchased a washer from Conn's. Approximately 6 months later, some of the clothes were damaged during the agitation cycle to include when selecting the deep fill, the water level didn't fill completely. A service request was made and the maintenance technician determined the entire panel would be replaced. The part was ordered and on another scheduled appointment, he replaced the panel. However, the water level when selecting the deep fill, wasn't filling to as it should. At this time, the technician informed us he was initiating the process to replace the entire washer. Approximately 3 weeks passed and I contacted the service line seeking a status of the replacement request. I was informed the notes entered in the database by the technician that the panel was replaced and no further action was required. I explained to the customer service representative what I was told by the technician. The end result of that call was another scheduled appointment. The technician did not call or show up; however, he reported there wasn't anything else he could do to service the washer. However, no one called to provide me, as the customer any information. This process was (scheduling an appointment) in efforts to get a resolution was done 3 additional times, same outcome, no call no show. On the 4th attempt, I spoke with a service representative by the name of Naomi. I was informed that Keith, the manager would call me to address my concerns within 48 hours. The pattern continues, no call. I made another service call and spoke with Margaret, who schedules another appointment; however, states if the technician doesn't call or show by 3:00 p.m. to call back immediately. Of course, no call/no show. I speak with Candice, who informs me paperwork has been initiated to recommend a replacement for the washer and it will be 48 hours for a decision. I am very displeased, taking time off from work for appointments, making monthly payments w/an extended warranty and no resolution other than WAIT. Candice puts me hold to ensure her supervisor can speak with me, Candice transfer me to her supervisor and I am forwarded to a voicemail. I call back and now I have Joe. Yet again, I have to explain this whole process that began in December 2017 (today's date, April 9, 2018). He forwards me to Christine, to only hear this, there is no direct line for me to speak to anyone other than the customer service line. Please take comfort in knowing you concerns are being handled and an apology for the inconvenience. Resolution, WAIT. No satisfaction; however, this company gets monthly payments from me and a purchased extended warranty. Who knows what the next 48 hours will bring. I find it ironic that the Conn's website has a link to share your "Yestimony" and your "Yestimony" could be used in a commercial for the company. This will not happen because the link will not allow you to make a comment, hence, controlling the truth. I will NEVER recommend anyone to Conn's! The furniture arrived damaged, they again were aware of this because i was told this after they picked it back up and they tried to deliver the "NEW FURNITURE" I refused the new furniture and they took back the "second hand furniture" on 7-21 . Here we are 8-4-2022 and i still have yet to get a refund. So here is the switch. If you have credit issues or anything that prevents you from financing, this store will work with you and get you financed. If you are a cash buyer, this store will work for you as well. If you just need financing, again they will work with you. The problem is, they feel like a predatory company in their lending and selling practices. I will cover quality in a few minutes. You want to not just read the fine print, but understanding it; financing a 800 couch will turn quickly into 1000$ even with their 0% cash option. Buying an 800 couch cash will also add up to 1000$. Lots of fees in their fine print, lots. I purchased a living room set cash and thought it was decent price but at the POS, all of a sudden I am a few hundred more than I expected. By that point, I went on with the sale. However, somehow I had a coupon for 50$ and they had to cancel the sale 3 times because they kept forgetting to add in the coupon. I went to this store because they came up in one of those flyers in the mail and they had larger styled furniture. Which is what I wanted, but a year into the sofa I am disappointed. The couch is going flat and while still comfortable I have to sit on the throw pillows to have some height. The plastic leg broke when I hit it with my vacuum and I had to order the replacements directly from the manufacturer. Delivery left out one pillow and it was never sent. Overall, just no. Go with a different company. Find quality and figure out your price and payment. I would not return or shop here. read more

The sales staff and Manager were very helpful. Their displayed equipped is thoughtfully laid out and easy to navigate. The one huge plus with Conn's is that they stock what they sell, YESSS!! Not many furniture companies can say the same. This is a huge bonus when you don't want to wait weeks to a month for your new furniture to arrive. I didn't give them five stars simply due to the odor in the back left corner that seemed to potentially be coming from the sewer system? It was noticeable and made you want to move along. Conn's spent a lot of money renovating this old grocery store, however the plumbing may have been overlooked. I highly recommend trying them if you're ready to receive furniture the next day! read more

This is the worse company ever to deal with. When we purchased our items we was not informed that the protection amount was per item, which made our payoff several hundreds more than expected. Payment due on the 4th on the 5th collections are calling 4 and 5 times a day. Either they are hard up for money or they need training in customer relations. My washer was delivered broken supposed to do a swap out, sent the same delivery people as "inspectors" to ok the swap out. Well... I've been happy with my purchase for ALMOST a year now until I just realized that they had my 12 month interest free term set to expire in 10 months which adds an additional $1500 to my balance. What's even crazier is that when inquiring about that part, I was made aware that they have also been charging me for unemployment insurance and property insurance even though I requested to NOT have it. I specifically remember telling the rep that I don't want the unemployment insurance because my finances are great and I wasn't worried about losing my job. They refuse to refund any of it because I didn't notice it within 30 days on the statements that they don't send. Not the statements that I didn't receive because of improper communication details but the statements I don't receive because they are "Old School" and don't send anyone statements at all. I will never purchase from this company again and I don't recommend that you do. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to the fact that they won't refund the money they STOLE from me... Contacted "Con's" again since I had not heard back about my complaint. The con's corporate rep stated that my complaint had already been reviewed and they were not going to honor the warranty. I told her that I was not in agreement and had asked for it to be submitted again and I was told it would be. The con's corporate rep stated she would and get back to me by Friday 6/3/2020. Well low and behold no one called. So I called again and was told the second review had been completed and that I had been informed. News to me since I hadn't received any such calI ; I asked who I had spoken too and the representative informed me that it was the same person I had asked to review my complaint the second time. WHAT !! if she was the one submitting; why did she tell me it was going to be sent back ??????? In the mean time here's the response I got in Yelp. The new washing machine I bought from them was busted. Something is wrong with the motors or something was stuck inside. This was verified by their own delivery guy. But they won't replace it. They said they can only send in a technician to repair. What? REPAIR A BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE? The store agent said either call Whirlpool or they send a technician to repair. I believe this was not a new washer, it was the display that they sent, and it could be a returned item. DO NOT BUY AT CONN'S HOME SHOP, THE PRODUCTS ARE ALL RETURNED PRODUCTS. Whatever you do, do not buy anything here. Their online policy states there's a 14 day window for electronics. I brought it back 3 days later due to it not working and they want to charge a restocking fee and tell me to take it to the Apple store. It's brand new never been opened. So i go tot the Apple store to find out they the MacBook Air was sold Dec 2018 and there isn't anything they can do. If you decide you may want to finance some purchases, don't. They actually make you supply your social security card, which I think is for some type of fraud. Even the Social Security website says you don't need your card as long as you know your number. Also, the prices are so high that the 0% interest is not a deal, their interest and other fees are all incorporated in those high prices. Back to Home Depot and Lowes for me. read more
