Took my young daughter in for peeing issue, 1st visit here new to us new intern saw her, made her…read moreundress, asked if they could see hear alone for a couple of min, sent us (her parents) to the waiting room which is behind a locked door, 20 min later I inquire as to when we will be done, no one knows anything, I waited asked 2 more times, nothing, meanwhile my daughter was locked away from us with total strangers, Everyone was very dismissive and no one knew anything, Finally (due to my continued asking they let me back with my daughter, 2 min later a POLICE OFFICER showed up, they had called 911 thinking we may have abused our daughter! The officer was very nice but explained that BECAUSE they had called, my daughter was going to be put in an ambulance BY HERSELF with more strangers, taken to the hospital and we would not be allowed to ride along! we met her at the good sam hospital where they said she may have to do this again to Harrisburg to see specialists! 5-6 hours after after the NEW INTERN at ELCO FAMILY HEALTH CENTER had started this insane process on us, Good Sam Hospital did testing and out right asked my daughter if anyone had SEX with her, or had inserted anything into her, my daughter was shocked and appalled, the look on her face was of total shock and horror, she said no and it seems the people we saw there had determined that most likely this was a false accusation, no kidding! Needless to say we would NEVER ABUSE OUR DAUGHTER IN ANY WAY! and we are not done yet! because of the inexperience and hunch that was allowed to play out we will be dealing with more police officers, and child services for god knows how long until this gets settled, we were treated like criminals! There was a price to pay for the decision a young intern made but that intern and office gets off scott free while our daughter was terrified and we pay the price for someone else's mistake. I understand that they may have suspected they were helping but did not fully understand (or CARE) that they may be very wrong and the consequences of that very huge decision, they were strangers, not knowing out kid or our family and felt confident enough to send us through hell but hey if they are wrong they would not have any culpability or consequences so why not just do it without really digging thoroughly and thinking good and hard right! They stole my daughters trust in doctors, her innocence about adult issues and belief that Mom and Dad can protect her from strangers that want to take her away, all inside a few hours in one day!

I had my 9 yr old daughter in for a bad cold with a fever. I was told she just had a cold to give her over the counter medicine. when we got home my daughter, who was embarrassed to tell the doctor, told me it burned when she peed. I drove right back with her and the doctor didn't even see her again. they made her pee in the cup and made me pay another co-pay. this seriously was within 10 min of my previous visit. 2 days later her fever isn't breaking so I bring her back back, and the doctor sends her for a chest xray. that afternoon the radiologist called me and told me my daughter has pneumonia in her right lung. he put her on antibiotics. I took my daughter back to Elco 2 days later for her follow up and her doctor never took the time to even look at her xrays. He had no idea she was diagnosed with pneumonia. Ridiculous. Donmt worry though they made sure to get every penny from me.

My second visit she spent 1hour and 15 minutes with me. She wants to know everything about you. She isn't afraid to do whatever she has to do to get information from past and present doctors you may have seen. She talks a great deal and believes in lifestyle changes and anything that could affect your health welfare. She's never in a hurry or a rush to get to the next patient an yet I've never had a long wait. I don't know how she does it. She mean business but also has a great bedside manner. I can't say enough. After NOT providing medical service to my child, calling the state, and not sending medical records, she is 7 months in with outpatient confirmation of: lumps all down the esophagus, esophagitis, intestine full of ulcers, most busted open, and an infection, and biopsy the lumps.
