The biggest red flag when working with a contractor is needing an attorney just to get answers. The owner continues to claim my project stopped because I lacked funds. My experience was different. The project stopped after I refused to pay additional charges for plumbing work that I had fully disclosed before signing the contract, including photos, videos, and a plumbing inspection showing full pipe replacement was needed. I was told this work was included in the original quote. More than six months after my attorney requested documentation, I still have not received a clear accounting of completed work, supporting cost documentation, or a return of funds. Based on the work I can verify was not completed, I believe more than $20,000 remains unaccounted for. I have repeatedly been told that because the project was bid as a whole rather than by line item, there is no need to explain specific charges or provide proof of completed work. Meanwhile, my home remains unfinished with a large hole in the structure and no completed plumbing work visible. Transparency, accountability, and communication matter. From the start Construction Corps did things that were unethical. They wanted to charge me almost $1,000 to paint my bedroom ceiling after mold remediation, nothing else! I had to hire another company to paint the entire interior of my house, since the mold remediation was in several rooms of my house, not just my bedroom. Then they hired Cat 5 Roofing as their Subcontractor, but never gave me a Warranty for the Roof, no matter how many times I asked! My roof is now less than a year old, and was leaking in my attic, so I taped and sprayed all the attic seams with waterproof sealant, which did stop the leak! Contacted both Construction Corps and Cat 5 Roofing, and was told the leaking roof was not their fault, and they wanted me to pay an additional fee of almost $1,000 to fix the problem they created. I therefore contacted the Pinellas County Sheriff and other Government Agencies for possible Elder Fraud. Think twice before hiring this company, or you will be sorry that you did so! read more

Construction Corps has been working with us for the past year on multiple commercial construction projects, remodeling our schools. The work has surpassed $1,000,000 thus far. They have done flooring, trimwork, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, restoration and mold remediation, drywall, painting, steel-framed modular partitions, roofing, windows, custom doors and custom reception desks.
