We recently had a old concrete driveway and entrance walkway replaced with pavers by JFS Pavers. We began the process by having Jose come out and measure our job site and discuss our options. The next process was selecting the paver type and color variation we wanted from a list that Barbara the office manager provided us of previous jobs they had completed. Once we made our selection, the permit applications were submitted and the material was ordered. Every time it rains, I have a slow draining puddle on the side of my house. Why? Because the pavers are NOT level. Pointed out all the problems with the job, but Jose had an answer for everyone. Couldn't communicate with the workers (neither of them spoke English.) Job was not done to my specification. I paid $4,600 for a CRAPPY job. Will not recommend or use them again. read more

Can' be trusted. Been waiting 6 month to have some pavers replaced. They are a different color and Jose stated several times he would fix them and we waited and he never 'called or showed up. Now he isn't answering our calls and his secretary stated that she has told him but he doesn't listen. She is sorry but he is the boss and there is nothing else she can do. I applied on Angie's list to have a paver patio extended and a sidewalk installed. Jose came in the next few days told me he would match the pavers as best possible and needed to order them, gave me a great quote. Barbara called in a few weeks and said the pavers were in and would be delivered the next day, and Jose would call to let me know the day they would be installed. Jose called and we agreed on a day. 7:30 am that morning Jose called and was at my house to go over the plans, I wanted the patio extended a few more feet and Jose said it was no problem he would make it work, the installers came at 8 am installed the extension patio and the patio, completed by 5 pm. Cleaned up the area very well and the best part Jose didn't up the price for the few extra feet of patio. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. They do great work and very pleasant employees!! read more

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS OF THIS COMPANY!!! The owner of JFS Pavers, Jose Moreno, promised me the world, but delivered sub-par results and is now refusing to uphold his own 1-year warranty on paver replacement. I made the decision to contract with JFS Pavers based on their Google reviews, pricing and their stated ability to provide the requested services. Note: This company has been doing business for 11 years, yet the positive reviews are dated within the past 18 months. In October 2020, JFS Pavers installed a paver driveway, walkway, patio and poured a footer for a patio covering at my home. · Jose Moreno never provided the permit regardless of my requests. It wasn't until January 2021, three months after the work had been completed, I discovered he never pulled the permit for this project. I immediately alerted the city of St. Pete. Only then did he comply. · The patio company made special arrangements to meet with Jose Moreno at my home to review and confirm the measurements as detailed on the property survey drawings (provided by the city of St. Pete) before the footer was poured. Jose Moreno confirmed the measurements with the patio company. The footer was dug and poured incorrectly. It is off by one foot. Jose Moreno blamed the patio company for this mistake. · The pavers are terribly uneven on the patio. There is little to no sand between the pavers and about 1/3 of them are chipped overall. Oldcastle, the manufacturer of the pavers, provided 1 pallet of pavers for replacement at no charge. However, there are still a great many more that need replaced. Oldcastle, again has agreed to provide replacement pavers at no charge. Jose Moreno has not responded to my calls or texts in over a month. · Concrete was applied to all the pavered area sides for support except the two 14' sides of the patio. There is no way to seal these as the sand just flows right through the cracks onto the surrounding ground. Upon my request, in November of 2020, three weeks after the project was completed, a sales representative from Oldcastle, the manufacturer of the pavers, came out to survey the project. He stated the work was shoddy, but, as a measure of good faith, would provide the pavers for replacement of the chipped/damaged ones. After many phone calls and texts, JFS Pavers did re-lay some of the areas and replaced some of the damaged pavers in January 2021. There are still many chipped and damaged pavers that they did not address. It is now April -three months later. I have corresponded with the sales representative, Doug Snyder of Oldcastle, and they will provide yet another pallet of pavers for replacement. I have been calling and texting Jose Moreno several times daily with no response. The replacement of the chipped/damaged pavers falls under the JFS Pavers 1-year warranty. Jose Moreno is not backing his warranty. I have had other paver companies out to review and quote repairs for the less than stellar job JFS Pavers did. I am now a statistic - a homeowner who was buffaloed by a fast-talking contractor. Do not believe the positive reviews of this company! The work is done by unskilled laborers. Chose a legitimate, professional company and get the project done right the first time! My only recourse was to report Jose Moreno and JFS Pavers to the Pinellas County Contractor Labor Board. I will not get my money refunded or my project remedied, but at least JFS Pavers and Jose Moreno will be red-flagged. BEWARE!!! read more

I recently had my concrete driveway replaced and a new circular driveway installed with pavers at my home in Tierra Verde. JFS provided a reasonable quote and information regarding permitting requirements. They obtained a county permit and protected all the trees and bordering properties. They removed the old driveway and sidewalk, then installed the new pavers and even refaced the front entryway. All the work was done according to our contract and the permit. They were professional and attentive to my questions. They even returned to complete a small sidewalk on the side of the house what was initially overlooked in the quote. The completed job is gorgeous. I am the 3rd neighbor on my street to use them and 2 additional neighbors have called for quotes. I would definitely recommend Jose and JFS Pavers! read more

all these 5 star ratings are good when you're super happy upfront but if something goes wrong don't expect JFS Pavers to honor their 1 year warranty. I would give it 6 months before you write a review and if you're still happy then write the review. read more

We hired JFS Pavers to reseal and resurface an existing front and back patio as well as adding a sidewalk to our home. We had some existing pavers and along with an additional purchase were used on the sidewalk. It wasn't until after the sidewalk was laid that we noticed they used all of the existing pavers together at the beginning of the walkway and the new ones followed rather than spreading them out and incorporating them in with the new. They are slightly different in color. We were going to be fine with this as we were happy about the price or otherwise may not have been able to afford it. So we did not complain. I am only mentioning this here for a full picture. A few months ago the polymeric sand they put down on our back patio has been coming up and felt the sealant used on the pavers was disappearing. So we called. Jose the owner of JFS came out and told us the sealant was fine. I'm not so sure about that. We showed him the pavers where the polymeric sand was coming out and he agreed to have a worker come to our home and fix it. He would have his office call and schedule an appointment. That was approximately 8 weeks ago. After waiting a week and no call, we called his office - left a message - no return call. Called again 2x, now a total of 3 all leaving messages and still no call 2 months later. So I guess that the cheapest price does not always mean the best quality. In short, the 1 year guaranteed labor JFS pavers gave us expires in May. Looking at the large jobs he has done is wonderful but if you're a smaller job, I guess it's not important to make it right. Very disappointed that he encouraged a review after the job, I should have waited to see what it would look like after it weathered time. read more
