After requesting quotes from several different companies, we found theirs by far the most reasonable and their attention by far the most personal, with Carlo actually traveling to our place to examine the space before offering an estimate. He was very accommodating in answering all of our initial questions, despite one of us being away at the time, and we were happy to book their service upon receipt of their quote. I do suggest anyone interested in working with this company prepare to accommodate schedule changes, particularly if you have a small project, as we did. Communication with and between all of the people involved in the project was a little spotty before the painter arrived, particularly because we had two associated phone numbers; so you should be flexible if you want to take full advantage of this service and its value. When the painter did arrive, he was attentive to our specific concerns regarding the areas of the room to be patched, and finished the task quickly and efficiently without being at all intrusive. Like Carlo, he answered all our questions, and was very knowledgeable about the tools of his trade. And when, after the paint dried, it turned out the room needed another coat to achieve full coverage--something we didn't begrudge at all, as it would have been impossible to determine this before the paint finished drying--he came back the very next day to add that third coat, working with just as much efficiency as he did the first time. Overall, we were very happy with our first experience with this company, the value of their service, and the quality of the work. It's refreshing to have an updated space, and we think it might be our favorite room in the place now. In fact, we appreciated Peintre Prestige's work so much, we asked them back to paint our hallway in December of that same year. As before, initial communication after receiving the quote was touch-and-go, though on this occasion that could certainly be attributed to the holiday season. But once we had firmly established a date for the work to be done, the painter arrived as scheduled, finishing the job just as quickly, efficiently, and professionally as he did the first time. On this occasion, he was even early! As we chose a paint color closer to the original color on the wall this time, there was no need for a third coat, and our walls and baseboards looked fresh and neat straight away. I am so pleased with the way the apartment looks now, and cannot wait to hang more art on these newly painted walls! In short, Carlo and his team clearly care about doing a good and thorough job on their projects from quote to finish, and we would certainly recommend Peintre Prestige to anyone looking for a reasonably priced painting service in Montreal!

Anderson cannot be trusted with your project. He took 45% of the project cost as deposit and gave a…read moreexcuse to collect more as 15% contingencies by claiming he needs extra 1K to make the Epoxy floor that was the main reason I gave him my garage project. I refused so he demanded extra $600 to continue work and do the epoxy floor, that he was broke. On receiving this, he then abandoned my project while giving flimpsy 'weather bad' excuse. Eventually, there was good weather window and he did not follow through after confirming to come around to do the job and clean up the demolition materials he had left on my driveway for 2+ weeks. I got fed up and asked for my money back. I warned that I will report him to my bank as scam in an attempt to get my money, he said I can go ahead that he cannot return my money. He is refusing to give me back 2K of the $2,825 he has already collected from me, saying that, "my plan was to make a couple of payments to reach 1.3K." When I informed him I would take legal action against him and go to the police. He said he will not pay me anymore that and I quote him, "the money I was gonna send you will be spent on lawyers instead.". Afterwards, I allowed him to make payment of what he thinks is due to me so I can suspend the legal action I initiated, but he refused. So, essentially he wants to defraud me of $2.8K (63% of project cost) for incomplete removal of ceiling insulation of ca. 280 sq.ft garage and some drywalls including 85 sq. ft of my drywall that I never asked him to remove, then leaving part of the debris on my driveway and scampering for more than 3 weeks after failing to follow through with our agreement and being dishonest.
