It was intense life changing experience that made me feel confident about coding. I honestly didn't…read moredo well through the course and it was hard for me but It change my way of thinking and attitude in general. Yes, It might seems like teacher doesn't care but it's not. They just want you to become self-efficient programmer. Coding Dojo boot camp is one of the best schools in Seattle in my opinion. I put 5 stars because by attending this school I could make decent clone of one of the popular website and right now I capable to build app in MEAN stack. I feel comfortable to work on my personal projects without help. By the way when I started I didn't know even how to "hello world!" Thank you, Coding Dojo Team!

I was previously in the Marine Corps before attending Coding Dojo with a background in Accounting and Diplomatic Security and very basic HTML/CSS knowledge. Immediately we knew the school would require a lot of attention, time sacrifice, and time management. Most days would range easily putting in 12 hour days, 5-7 days a week. I didn't fully know what world I would be getting myself into but I knew from dabbling with Code Academy and enjoying it, that I wanted to become a full-time Programmer. The instructors/staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The instructors and TA's are caring and patient; they do their best to help you understand the material. Bending over backwards and sitting with you for as long as needed to help you understand what you're doing. I really appreciated when they would record the lectures and demonstrations so I can go back on the material for live examples and code with the videos. I have struggled a lot during the school but I see it as constant room for growth and that there is a lot to be learned in Programming and you shouldn't give up. Multiple assignments and class work a day plus algorithms will feel heavy and challenging. But I believe with struggle comes strength and some points you'll question it all. And learning and soaking in the material feels quick but you'll soon realize you know more than you give yourself credit for. The implementation of the "20-minute rule" for working on your own, then asking a TA is a great push to becoming a self-sufficient developer. Students will grow to need less supervision and how to find the answers instead of having the answers given to them. Coding Dojo helped give me the skills and understanding for walking into the massive realm of web/software development and that there is much more to be learned, and in many different languages. And if I wanted to learn a different language, it's doable. It makes me eager to continually and constantly learn as an aspiring self-sufficient developer."

First things first. I really do not like to write reviews, and when I do I like to write. the…read morereview in the hope that it either encourages or constructively criticize the subject that I happen to be reviewing. With that said I would like to give my honest assessment of Skillspire a coding bootcamp in Bellevue, WA. Skillspire was founded by Yasmin Ali, who created Skillspire to help those who cannot afford to attend college, but also, and I believe more importantly, to help people of marginally discriminated populations find technical work that they can build a life around. For this, I absolutely applaud her and Skillspire! The instructors at Skillspire are absolutely top notch. They know their respective skillset inside and out, and they do not hesitate to share; with passion, humility and humor their knowledge and wisdom. In the 16 week course that I took we were challenged by countless interruptions (covid) throughout the course. The course started in January and ended in May, at first we had in person instruction, but of course we were forced to move online due to social distancing measures. My instructor Farhad, took it all in stride, held us all accountable and made sure to work with us individually during this difficult time. He was encouraging and helpful for each of us in class and personally, I will forever be grateful for his graciousness. The Java course that I took was based on multiple projects building up to a final project that we were encouraged to team up for at the end. We also focused on using git, specifically GitHub for storing source code but also as a great tool for showcasing your skills in terms of coding and writing. We also focused on cloud computing for building full scale cloud based java applications. I went in to this course not knowing Java at all and came out absolutely confident in my ability to pass a coding interview in Java. Currently I am looking for work as a software engineer and I have the upmost confidence that I will be able to get started on a new career adventure with ease thanks to Skillspire offering career building services. Terri Pauly is a godsend as a resume/interview coach. She knows her stuff and exudes passion when she is helping you find your dream job. Skillspire offers top-notch coding instruction from industry professionals, excellent career building services and has a mission that is admirable and needs to succeed. I would recommend Skillspire to anyone looking to create a better life by learning how to code. You will absolutely be in good hands.

Yes, we…read moresigned the papers--It doesn't surprise me that he would try to rehash everything publicly rather than take some constructive criticism. I only intended to leave an honest review of our experience with IBA. I stand by my one-star review. As our broker, their job was to represent us and get us the best deal possible--not just push a deal through. The buyers already had their own agent. It became clear that closing the transaction quickly was the priority--not our best interests. That's not just poor service--it's unethical. Mortgage lenders need to know whether they're financing a home or a business. Blurring those lines to push a deal through isn't just questionable--it's potentially harmful. We were not properly represented, and we paid the price for it. I recently posted an honest review about my experience with IBA and noticed they still have a 5-star rating. I probably wouldn't have checked back--except I received a letter from an attorney representing IBA. Here's what it said: "They are chagrined that you posted an online review of IBA suggesting otherwise, and we demand that you remove the review you recently made of IBA NW Business Brokers on Google." To be clear, I shared a truthful account of my own personal experience. I did not name the broker involved, nor did I exaggerate any details. It was a simple, honest, one-star review summarizing what was, for me, a very disappointing experience. I don't appreciate being pressured to remove it. A company that can't accept fair criticism without resorting to legal threats raises serious concerns. There are many business brokers in the Northwest--I'd encourage others to do their research and choose one who values transparency and accountability. Original review: I recently worked with a broker from IBA to sell our business and home together, as the business operated on our property. My daughter and I had one chance to sell the small business we built and dedicated ourselves to for ten years, and unfortunately, we were met with disregard and a lack of respect throughout the entire process. The very first interested buyers ended up purchasing it. While it turned out to be a great deal for them, it was not in our best interest. We felt misled and unsupported from start to finish. If you're a small business owner, I would strongly caution against using this firm. In our experience, their practices were misleading and did not prioritize our needs as sellers.
