It's in walking distance to the Georgia Aquarium, State Farm Arena, Mercedes Benz Stadium, Conference Center, Centennial Olympic Park etc. And in addition to the hotels complimentary cocktail hour, there's a Starbucks and Ruth Chris inside which provides excellent alternative drinks, food and snack options!

There's no onsite parking so if you need to park here, then valet is the only option. I must warn that if you park offsite it's a great idea to check your bill after checkout. I was charged a valet fee even though I didn't use that service. It was easily cleared up after calling the hotel and explaining what occurred. The breakfast buffet is amazing with the omelette bar and hot breakfast items. Be sure to go well before breakfast ends to avoid the crowd.

Unfortunately, this stay was by far the worst we have ever had. The problems started as soon as we arrived. The associate at the front desk was extremely unapproachable and came across as rude. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and assumed she may have been having a bad day. When we returned a few hours later to check in, her attitude had improved somewhat, but the initial interaction left a poor first impression. Once we got to our room, it was extremely hot. We immediately lowered the thermostat, but the room never seemed to cool properly. I then attempted to take a shower and discovered there was no hot water. My husband called the front desk and was told they were working on the issue. We also discovered that the TV remote did not work. Because of the uncomfortable interaction we had already experienced at the front desk, I was hesitant to call again, so we left for dinner and a game. When we returned several hours later, there was still no hot water, and the room temperature remained uncomfortable. The hot water was eventually restored approximately 9-10 hours later, which was certainly appreciated, but by then a large portion of our stay had been affected. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. When I finally went to take a shower, the glass shower door would not stay closed. It continuously slid open, causing water to spill all over the bathroom floor. As a loyal Hilton customer and Hilton Honors American Express cardholder, I was extremely disappointed by this experience. The lack of hot water for most of the day, the cooling issues, the broken TV remote, the defective shower door, and the poor customer service at arrival made this stay far below the standards I have come to expect from Hilton properties. Given the number and severity of these issues, I believe compensation is warranted and would appreciate consideration for a refund of all, or at minimum a significant portion, of our stay. I hope management will review this experience and take steps to ensure future guests do not encounter the same problems.

The room is seriously overdue for renovation, with signs of previous water damage, dated furniture, a broken bathroom toilet paper holder, and a toilet that initially barely flushed and eventually stopped flushing altogether. The bathroom sink had no hot water and also became clogged, with water pooling in the basin. The bedroom TV remote wasn't synced with the TV, there were no laundry bags, and housekeeping never serviced the room at all that day. The valet experience also left me concerned. I valet parked upon check-in and distinctly remember leaving my water canteen in my car. When I retrieved my vehicle, the canteen was gone. I checked with security and no one had reported finding a lost item, so unfortunately, it mysteriously disappeared while my car was in valet care. I will give credit where it's due--the front desk staff and bartender during happy hour were friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, those positive interactions don't outweigh the overall experience. For a hotel in Buckhead, this property is simply not giving Buckhead energy. Between the condition of the room, maintenance issues, lack of housekeeping, and the missing item from my vehicle, the experience felt much more low-budget/motel-like than what I would expect from an Embassy Suites in this location. Ironically, the best thing this hotel has going for it is Ruth's Chris Steak House. But here's the thing: you don't have to stay at the hotel to enjoy it. Anyone can walk in or make a reservation. So if the restaurant is the main draw, hotel accommodations are not necessary. After two stays--with very little apparent improvement since February--I unfortunately would not choose to stay here again.

The made-to-order breakfast is included, and they also have the complimentary evening reception, which adds a little more value to the stay. Brickstones Kitchen & Bar is right inside the hotel if you don't feel like going back out for dinner or a drink. The location is probably the biggest selling point. You're only a few minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson, and they offer a complimentary airport shuttle from early morning until late at night. It's also convenient to the Delta Flight Museum and Georgia International Convention Center. The only thing I'm not crazy about is paying $25 a night for self-parking at an airport-area hotel. Spacious rooms, good amenities, included breakfast, and an extremely convenient location for ATL. If I needed an airport hotel on this side of town, I'd stay here again.

The hotel is located within a half mile of GA-400, just north of Northpoint Mall. It is in that common satellite area which surrounds your average mall for a half mile in all directions. Entrances are off North Point Drive, which connects to the larger North Point Parkway (which is shown as the hotel's address). Parking is in a private lot surrounding the building. It got crowded at night, but there were still spaces available when we came and went. The layout is rooms surrounding a large open atrium in the center. There are 6 floors, at least 5 of which have rooms (I'm not sure about the ground floor). They appeared to have an indoor pool and a small gym. Our room was quite spacious, with the bedroom separated from a 'living room' type area. The bathroom was outside the bedroom, which was also nice. There was plenty of space to open suitcases. It seemed clean. No oddities with the shower or other facilities. Breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m. weekdays and 7:30 a.m. on weekends. There is a self-serve area (bread / cereal / coffee / fruit / yogurt) and some sort of small hot-food counter / line where you go up and ask for sausage, bacon, or possibly an omelet that they make for you. I didn't go through that line. They issue you breakfast cards on check-in, and I think you may have to present those at the hot-food line. Check-in and check-out were quite easy. I'll give them a 5 as there was nothing that inconvenienced me during my one-night stay.
