What an amazing place for an equine getaway. I went last year with our entire barn, about 30 horses in all. We spent the weekend trail riding throughout the extensive property and much of the adjacent land. There are wide open field you can canter, wooded trails, jumps to hop over and our favorite: a grassy track where we took turns galloping our horses and racing each other. You rent a barn and spend the night in a nearby house. We had the largest house with a beautiful pool and waterfall. There are well cared for grass fields for turn out. We even did some night rides by moonlight with fireflies flashing around us. The weekend couldn't have been any better. The grounds at Continental Acres are magnificent. But it WAS....a large 4 room Carriage and Vanner Wagon Exhibit that took 2 hours to tour. There WAS....a guide and she was very well read on all items in this then....museum. I would not drive more than 30 minutes to see what it here. They may still offer a restaurant on site...but it was average to below average as our group did eat there after the then....tour back in 2015.
