They need more places like this in these small cities where people have a healthier option for food other and concentrated more on vegans and vegetarians. But they do offer one meat dish a day as well to please the locals. It's a great place to come with your family or with friends. Nazare is renown worldwide for its incredibly huge waves some as high as 100' Surfers from all over the world come here between October to March. The Guinness book of world records is a wave 86' high by a German surfer Sebastian Steudtner. We went there in late April w/expectations of the huge waves only to realize that the water was almost flat w/no wave activity while we were there. Nazare has a large beach community w/Restaurants & shops along the beachfront strip. The most famous viewpoint is the red lighthouse. There is a fee of 2 euros to view the waves from the platform
