Arkansas DMV - I have been putting off getting my Real ID ( California mad it so impossible to get) - I went into the Conway office and drew my number it was 01 , and the number they were on was 52. I thought okay it's going to be a little while, as I was sitting there waiting I was watching their screen with information and it was saying that the online appointment was a way to make your trip quicker. I thought to myself what could it hurt to look. Found the website and selected the date and time Thinking well let's see. I got into the office at 12:30 made my appointment for 12:45 ! I actually had the most helpful gentleman John helping me and he actually let me see the picture ( and a retake) I walked out of the office at 12:55 with my Real ID in hand! I observed the woman working in the license renewal side act very unprofessional with someone ahead of me. She was not only rude to her but when it got to the point of asking the woman if her weight was the same, she was quite loud so that the even the men behind me could hear. She said the woman's past weight out loud, and I saw the look on the woman's face as she had to acknowledge it and admit she had gained more. When she did, the employee rolled her eyes like she didn't believe her new weight number. It's been a joke for a long time that women never tell their true weight anyway, and if it's that big of a deal, you need to have a scale that they stand on. That employee wasn't rude to me but wasn't friendly either. Our weights are not shown on our license and I don't believe she should have asked so loudly. I would have fired her if I would have seen that and been her boss. When you work in customer service, which is all she really is doing, you have to be nice to all of your customers/clients. If you have a bad day, you have to leave it at home. Be an actor. If she didn't like her because she was fat, she needed to pretend like she did. I felt horrible for that woman. The man with the interesting hair was nice to everyone. read more

There's an old yarn about small people having their little area of control that makes them feel big. Nowhere more was that readily apparent then when I visited this office today. I arrived last week and was unable to get my Arkansas drivers license with the proper verification because of the onerous amount of required documents to prove residency requirements. I arrived today, thinking that my hiring letter would be enough to prove my occupation has brought me to the state. Despite numerous forms of identification, the workers refused to accept my documentation as proof of residency. The clerk offered to grab the supervisor, but he came in with such an incredibly rude disposition, arrogance, and dismissive attitude, he was impossible to have a conversation with. He made no attempts at empathy, repeatedly talked down and over me, and constantly interrupted. When I said, "hey, could you not come in so hot?" His answer was "I'm not coming in hot" with the same aggressive tone that I was kindly asking him to reconsider. I have not been treated so rudely and so dismissively in quite a long time. Rather than continue to stand there and be insulted and treated rudely by such a pedantic and petty man, I walked out. I will not return to this location and will happily drive the extra 20 minutes to North Little Rock simply to avoid this bloviating asshole. read more

You would think State Revenue Offices would all operate the same. Turns out they don't. I lived in the neighboring county for 8 years and never had an issue with assessing or registering things. Then I moved to Conway. (Faulkner County) This Revenue office is an absolute joke and a gargantuan pain in my ass and the majority of the people who work here are rude and have 0 customer service skills. Every time I come here for business there ends up being an issue and these people are not here to help you, it's apparently your job to figure everything out all on your own. They're just there to take your money. Even their own employees have admitted to me there is an inherent failure with this county office as it pertains to communication with the Assessor's Office. Their systems do not link with eachother like other counties in the state. When I went to register my SXS Last month, the guy told me I was going to have to pay taxes on it, even though it was a private sale out of state. Boy did he find out he was wrong and what's worse was he was training a new employee. They don't even know their own registration & tax guidelines. So all this being said, to the Faulkner County Revenue Office, let me just say I pure hate dealing with you and your consistent incompetence. You are a useless and parasitic government operation. I welcome the day everything can be done from a smartphone or computer and every office is shut the hell down and turned into a flea market. read more

Slowest revenue office I've ever been in. They have 10 spots open and only 4 people working. Wait is well over an hour. If I could do the Affidavit of Inheritance online I would. Definitely do not recommend this revenue office. read more

The actual address of this place is 2455 Washington...right now Yelp has you going across the street to the Bank of the Ozark...sent feedback to Yelp to get it corrected. Returned here with my birth certificate. This time everything went thru very smoothly. The lady at the door was very nice and helpful. In this day of COVId, if all the chairs are taken inside, you must get a number from the employee at the front door and stand outside 6' apart, however the max amount of time you spend outside probably won't extend beyond ten minutes - max. I saw the blonde lady that was so polite-rude last time, but luckily didn't have to deal with her and the man who assisted this time was sincerely polite and efficient. It appears the employees are well-trained and cross-trained, it seems they can do all the tasks. Also, they must have changed out the plastic because I could clearly see the employees this time, whereas last time I could not. The only other reason it could seem different is that perhaps a light was shining on the plastic in such a way that it obstructed my view of the employee. Either way, it's better now. I enjoy watching the Great Dane that one of the employees has as a therapy dog...he's a pretty cool distraction read more

Many people gripe about the revenue department, i think that is because they are usually in a bad mood when the have to come.....in over 40 years of coming to the revenue department in Conway, through many many changes in personnel, i have GOT to say that they have always gotten me in and out quickly, or as quickly as possible, and have always answered my questions and concerns. On the other hand, through the years I have seen many "customers" lose their tempers, yell, and generally make life hard for these hard working state employees who never get a pat on the back. read more
