He said it would gradually get better and I'd be able to return to normal activities within a few days (this was on Friday). I went to see Dr. Biddle for a severe tendonitis injury with my left Achilles. I had been training…read morefor a marathon and the race was quickly approaching and it was beginning to look like my injury would prevent me from competing in the race. When I went to see Dr. Biddle, he first performed a very thorough diagnostic exam on both of my legs to compare the muscles, tendons, and flexibility. When my injury had been properly diagnosed he performed several different physical therapy techniques to stretch out my tendon and break up any cartilage that was forming around my injury, and thus enabling proper healing. Dr. Biddle demonstrated several stretching and muscle exercises that targeted my injury so I could strengthen my tendon, and then watched me perform these exercises to ensure I was doing them properly. He also provided running recommendations regarding mileage, frequency, and intensity of my workouts. By the time my first visit with Dr. Biddle was complete, I was able to stand on my toes on my left leg and apply pressure to my injury without pain. During my visit with Dr. Biddle, he also took the time to stretch out both of my legs. During his initial exam he noticed that the muscles in my legs were very tight and pointed out that the tightness in my legs could be causing me to land differently on my left foot, causing the injury. He spent several minutes stretching out my legs in attempt to prevent future injury. I visited with Dr. Biddle on two more occasions leading up to my race. He was very thorough during both these visits to ensure he applied the proper exercises and stretches to my injury. By the time race day arrived, I was able to run a pain free, enjoyable marathon. I am very grateful to Dr. Biddle for the time he spent working on my injury to enable it to quickly heal and for his knowledge and expertise. I strongly recommend Dr. Biddle as a physical therapist that excels in the treatment and care of his patients.

Everything seemed great! He was knowledgeable, lots of equipment, super nice. He did a very aggressive adjustment on my whole body. It was terrifying. I thought I was going to fall the whole time. It was so disorienting being ordered in all these strange positions. But I went with it. I went home in pain. That pain grew. It grew to the point I was on my hands and knees sobbing hysterically, rolling around trying to find some relief. It took two hours, 3 pain pills, high dose muscle relaxers, and 3 anxiety meds to get me to calm down enough and get the pain to a level I could sleep. I spent 4 days icing, resting, and taking narcotics and muscle relaxers trying to get relief. It did not hurt even 1/4 of this before my adjustment. They did not instruct me on what to do for pain. Did not instruct me on how to deal with increasing pain. There is no way to reach them after hours. There is no help available. I'm sitting in the doctors office now hoping they did not do any permanent damage. Please research before you go anywhere! Especially here. You will be left alone to deal with your pain and that is unacceptable to me.

It was painful as she meticulously worked out each issue. I knew the issue was going to take time to heal, but Donna's work allowed my body to start healing. As the day went on after my session, I could feel my body healing each hour. I'm still in need of more work but I will definitely keep going to Donna.
