The good: - In the autumn they had locally grown vegetables and fruits for sale with a honesty box, just outside the shop - They often have really, really cheap deals as I wander past around 6pm - I've had a big bag of sprouts for 29p, baguette for 19p, even a pineapple for 29p... The bad: - It always takes a while to pay. They have two self-service machines, but they are always off, so you have to line up to be served.

Considering it's a small shop, they have a good stock. With a fresh veg and fruit section at the front of the shop, you can always pick up some tomatoes, potato's, onions, garlic, ginger, carrots, broccoli etc. A nice resource for a local shop. They also offer a good selection of frozen Quorn veggie foods, by my mind the mark of a decent local shop! The large and cheap booze selection is also a winner, as is the range of fresh breads and pitta on offer. Like it a lot.

The Moonlight is my favourite general all purpose greengrocer and baker in the area. They have a…read morehuge range of fruits and vegetables outside (often much cheaper than the supermarkets). The best deals are to be had outside the old store next door where they sell off (normally very generous amounts) for a mere pound. The range is also much better than the supermarkets from year round figs to sharan fruit to artichoke. Inside is also super interesting where they have one of the few working bakeries in the immediate area (I think the next nearest is Euphorium) and have an interesting little deli in the back. Great little place and long may it continue being so.

Everything is clean, neatly packaged, and delicious looking. Something about having their style-unified packaging on every item in the store makes it look more classy than supermarkets that carry multiple brands. But, I still find them to be a bit pricey for regular items, so I tend to only buy groceries there that other stores don't carry. Like ghost-shaped Halloween potato chips :) Parking costs .80 unless you buy £15 or more in groceries, in which case it is reimbursed. The parking lot is kind of an odd two-part deal, but I don't recommend going over the bridge to the parking lot nearer to the door because the bridge is a congestion area and driving over it with pedestrians walking over it (which they are frequently doing) is a bit worrying because it's so narrow!
