Very good food. Tapas style eating. The food is expensive, but you are paying for quality, not quantity.

It's Sunday night in Brugge and after a long day at the nearby beach in Knokke; we realised that we…read morehad thoroughly underestimated the number of people who would be eating out that night. We called place after place only to find that they were booked, about to close, or not open at all. After stopping by De Stove (in the off chance that they might have a cancellation) we see a cute Italian place across the street. By some miracle they have one table open, and it's outside! Our server was extremely helpful and attentive. I started with the prosciutto, feta, tomato and fig salad. It was fresh and tasty. For my main I had the catch of the day which was seabass. It came in a nice butter sauce and was served with a variety of cooked vegetables. It was surprisingly delicious. To finish I had the tiramisu which wasn't anything out of this world but it was moist and flavourful. We enjoyed our food, really liked our wine, and thought the service was excellent. Worth the stop!

We also had the spinach ravioli which was also excellent. The lemon tart concluded this wonderful experience. Before we left the proprietor spoke to us like we were old friends and not just first time customers. Would definitely come back to this place.

I was impressed by the food and the salsa was actually spicy. If you're Mexican or even from California this spot will scratch that itch. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy good Mexican food. The decore was really nice too.

While 2 stories, it can't seat but perhaps 35 when packed. We arrived as they had just opened so could just walk in but reservations are definitely recommended otherwise. It's very intimate, warm and welcoming. The day we were there was cold and rainy so the fireplace was a definite plus. The owner speaks English very well, knows her wines, and makes you feel very welcome (the place is celebrating its 20th anniversary so they're clearly doing something right). They do live music on Sunday nights and play a great selection of jazz at a nice low level otherwise. They do a happy hour and in addition to what's on the menu, they have a rotating selection of good wines by the glass from around the world (had a fantastic Malbec). They have great tapas, soups and large shareable plates. We loved this wine bar gem in Bruges!
