My experience with Cook's Balloonery is a bit unique. The company I work for has a large presence at the annual Pride parade in Columbus every year with balloons. Lots. of. balloons. (Seriously. So many balloons.) To help defray some of the cost and because so many of us were clamoring with a desire to pitch in, I spent some time at Cook's Balloonery sharpening my balloon twisting skills, putting together parts of our order. Simply put, the folks at Cook's are fantastic. They are super kind and a great component of the community. I witnessed them express great care in fulfilling customer orders and really taking the time to understand what customers are attempting to achieve. They also went to great lengths to have our massive order ready, along with quite a few other very large orders for the same parade. Who knew that a little strip mall in Westerville would house a balloonery? I needed to get some of those large mylar numbers and they had a great selection in lots of colors for $15 each filled with helium. The customer service I received at Cook's Balloonery was top notch! I will definitely use them for all future balloon orders. I placed a surprise high school graduation order for my niece during the height of the pandemic in early May. The high school changed plans for graduation twice due to COVID. Cook's Balloonery was so understanding at having to change delivery dates. They even texted pictures of possible balloons for the balloon bouquet since quarantine prevented my going in to see it! I needed to get 100 balloons for our 15th anniversary sale, but there was no way I could get them myself, let alone fit them all into my car. I checked on Yelp and found this company. They took my order with no problem. Not only did they call me the day before they were to be delivered to remind me, but they also delivered the next morning before they even opened. Because we have a high ceiling in the store, they showed me how to tie them all with out losing a balloon. When a few of the balloons had lost their helium after one day, they came out and delivered 25 free new ones as replacements the next day! Our family has loved this place for years- they do such a fabulous job on Balloons! Our only complaint would be they no longer have business hours. The business was bought a few years back by the sweetest girls... but it just doesn't seem as if they have adjusted to running the business yet. We had called to confirm they would be open a few weeks ago on a Saturday, but when we showed up the doors were locked and the lights were off. I recently did business with Stacy and Ally at Cook's Balloonery. These two ladies went above and beyond to help deliver two balloon arrangements to our friends kids. It was in the middle one of their busiest weekend of the year, so they had initially said it would be a couple of days before they could get it out. I was happy regardless of when they could do it. I woke up early the next morning to a text saying they were delivering that day, which was less than 24 hours later. I live outside Washington, D.C. and contacted Cook's Balloonery based on the positive reviews here on Yelp. I asked Cook's to help me send a birthday balloon bouquet to a 6 year old girl in Columbus. Ally at Cook's suggested a design for the bouquet that turned out to be FABULOUS. The birthday girl loved it! Cook's also originally told me the hours that they normally deliver on Saturdays, but then accommodated me in delivering the bouquet earlier than their normal delivery hours so that I could ensure that the recipient would be home to receive the gift. Cook's even texted me a picture of the balloon bouquet so that I could see the final product before it was delivered. We are an apartment community who has used Cooks for sometime. We don't use helium that often so a tank lasts a while. We received a call this morning regarding our tank needing inspected. We currently have almost a full 2000 pounds of helium. Rather than exchanging my tank with an equal amount, I am told that I will have to pay for another full tank! Really??! I understand the need for inspection's on the tank etc. But to charge me 2 times for in essence the same amount of helium seems unfair and very bad business. We will be discontinuing our services with your company. read more
