It's 5 minutes off the highway so if you're driving by and reading this, do make the trip down. The panini was pressed and grilled, served with chicken breast, basil pesto mayo, melted cheese and a house-made apple chutney on ciabatta bread. Both were hearty, filling and delicious. I tend to assume small towns are churchy because I watch a lot of movies and documentaries based from the USA, so I had visions of post-church families in crowded diners eating adorable meals and drinking tea. This is not so. There was nothing open. Except fast food, the Coldwater (I'll review that one later,) and Mandolin's which is near the grocery store. They had cornered the market, so I thought they didn't really need to try anymore. But holy hell, their bagel melt was awesome! They roast the turkey themselves, then add dill cream cheese, some onions, peppers, lots of cheese, and maybe other stuff, I lost track, but it is really good! Their coffee is good too. And they have soy milk. And Wifi! So I could just hang out there all day and work on stuff. Yay! If you find yourself in Merritt on a Sunday, totally go here.

Their garden seating is gorgeous and really adds to the experience of farm to table. It is also a very spacious restaurant, we were 14 people who sat on one long table! They can easily accommodate a bigger party size both inside and outside. Best part about dining here, you get free access to the rest of their garden! We visited their farm animals, went to their ponds and enjoyed breathtaking views of Penticton. Would recommend this place to soak up that wine after a long day of wine tasting/touring!!

You can choose bacon or sausage, kind of toast, and scrambled, or fried as you like -- so perfectly adequate, not a special breakfast out. My partner got bubble tea and the mega breakfast sandwich - essentially a bagel with omelette-like egg, tomato, cheese, and avocado. Both the tea and the sandwich were fine. But I do want to be clear -- this is a coffee house, not a sit-down restaurant. It is busy, and you kind of fend for yourself.
