I highly recommend Cool Cat Fencing! From start to finish, the whole experience was great. The quality of the fencing is excellent--it feels very sturdy, well-built, and looks fantastic. The value for the price was also outstanding compared to other options I looked at. What impressed me most was how quickly the project was completed. The crew worked efficiently without sacrificing the quality of the installation. Everything was done professionally, and the finished fence looks even better than I expected. read more

The Good and the Bad. Mostly Bad. I give 1 star because Yelp won't allow a lower rating. And also for averaging with the little good: The foreman who worked my project, Fernando, was the only person I spoke to, beginning to end who seemed interested in doing anything other than making a sale (front end) and doing as little as possible (Warranty Team). Fernando was invested in keeping me updated, left a clean worksite each night, was kind to his team. He was a pleasure to work with. The rest of the company seems like a nepo organization, starting with the least knowledgeable and trustworthy sales team I've encountered in years. However, I was in need of a security fence ASAP and ultimately was sold because of the timeline, the quality of the fence itself, 0% APR for financing, and the "warranty." Unfortunately, I found out within one day of the project completion that the Warranty Team would be the worst at Cool Cat yet. Negative Stars: One of the locks was put on backward (meaning someone could unscrew the mounting from the outside). Further, because of the direction and function of the lock, it remained locked on the outside when the inside lock was disengaged. This is a significant fire and safety risk if the only way out of my yard is through that gate or somehow over the 6 foot fence. I contacted Dan the morning after the project closed to apprise them (7/30) and I didn't get a response until 8/3. I got the Warranty Manager's number (Joe) and communicated with him. Artur and some other unfriendly person came on 8/7 to fix. I checked in multiple times and when they were finished, I asked about the multiple drilled holes that were now exposed and tape instead of a cap on one of the rails. He said he didn't have anything to fix it with him today and I asked him to come back and fix it. That was one month ago. My $27k fence has eye sores all over the gate and now with the rain setting in, the exposed metal is showing the beginnings of rust. And I have not heard back from anyone. WORST COMPANY EVER. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

This company is too savvy for what they offer. They are trying way too hard and their process and branding ultimately makes it more expensive for the consumer. I found scheduling to be easy I did that all via text. I am VERY busy with kids, pets, a full time job AND we had just moved OUT of the house we needed fencing for. I explained to the woman on the phone when she rescheduled me, as they had an incorrect phone # for me intially, so I never got notified the tech was coming. My BIG issue was that I said REPEATEDLY that we did not live at the house anymore and it was empty. They said I HAD to be there for the estimate. This was a total waste of my time, as it did NOT need to be done in person. AND it was over 45 minutes to provide an estimate on ONE fence panel. ONE!! The "technician" was very nice but I stood in my former backyard, during the "extreme heat" we had on June 15th and waited over10 minutes before I called them and said I SEE your fencing truck where the heck is the guy?? He said he had rang my doorbell and knocked on the door but I didn't answer. I said no kidding I don't live here. Then he took measurements. He took pictures and said he'd be "right back" as he needed to "run the numbers." So I thought this would be quick. NO. After over 10 minutes I finally went to my car and turned it on to wait on him. Then he wanted to go BACK into the yard again. I was getting frustrated at this point. I did NOT need to be present for this. I felt like my time was wasted and I also felt like NO consideration was given to the fact that it was over 90 degrees...close to 100, when he left me standing outside waiting on a quote that was DOUBLE the company we hired. I had my dogs with me and they were both panting so I wanted to make sure they were in the car with AC. After he went back into the yard for a third time, I pulled my car into the shade to help it cool down more. Then he gave me twenty questions on who quoted me less! And made me pull up their website for him while he talked on the phone. Super unprofessional. Super WEIRD. They are nice people but change your business model. Be FAST. Be efficient. Stop wasting people's time trying to be different and show up and do the work. This isn't a "sale" it's a need for people. People don't need an elongated process with back and forth. They NEED repairs done. Respect people's time. As they say time is money. And you wasted mine. read more

Dishonest tactics and extremely unprofessional, would not recommend them under any circumstances. Strongly considering filing a BBB complaint for elder abuse. They came to my home to quote a shared fence and were told repeatedly to leave my elderly neighbor alone as she didn't want to be involved and specifically asked me to gather the quotes. They left and went to her house and lied to her stating I didn't want to pay for half the fence and pressured her into paying for the full cost immediately despite me repeatedly telling them to leave her alone and that I had other companies coming to quote the work later in the week. They also postponed the job two separate times and left scraps of metal in both of our yards and I have two dogs so that was super awesome. I had to rewrite this review with more details as they petitioned yelp to remove this negative review, this is the type of company they are. read more

Great customer service! They were on time and very informative on the products and service they could provide.

Quality is unmatched honestly, overall the service is amazing, the product materials are very solid, I really like the free consultation I got, I'm really glad Daniel Belozerov my sales rep was absolutely INCREDIBLE! He answered all my questions straight. Everything was laid out very simply. Cool Cat, I'll be in debt to you guys forever. I can't believe I kept my bad fence for over 10 years! Cool Cat Fence - 10/10 TWO THUMBS UP! - Fences & Gates Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Very poor communication unless buying. once job is completed (unsatisfactor) wasn't home posts are very wobbly (they advertise them) paid almost 2g for this gate replacement to try them out, not worth it wont contact you to fix problem....they offer 20yr warranty have made two claims, have heard nothing from them....paid another company to fix what they wouldn't even contact custome. read more

My official review is to definitely not recommend this company, really for anything. They did not stand by their quote and they kept the deposit after telling me that they would return it. I reached out to the salesperson, his manager, then the office and that manager. Completely ghosted by everyone. First, I called because I thought they might be local to Salem. They are not local. I got a quote for 3 sets of posts & gates only. They use a standard pressure tactic of asking if all of the decision makers were home at the time of quoting. But, the quote was reasonable, so I agreed to get it going. But, I wanted to also do my neighbors gate so they matched. And, I needed that quoted as well. He said that should be about the same as mine for each. Again, reasonable. We were leaving on an extended weekend and explained that to the salesperson and he said that he would send another quote and with installation due in a week, he said that should be fine. So, I had my quote and was waiting for him to send my neighbors quote so we could discuss on our end and either add or not. The extra quote did not come and I sent texts to the salesperson asking for the added quote. It took him all day to get it to me. The original quote that I signed off on was $2,300.00 for 2 gates on 8/11. At 5:20pm on 8/17, my neighbors quote came in at $1,250.00. Then another quote came in at 6:07pm for $4,870.00 for 3 gates. Then, a short time later I got another quote for $3,761.44 for the 3 gates. No explanation for either. I asked what was going on and the salesperson said that he forgot to add posts and the only quote that was correct for all 3 was $3,761.44 adding the posts. If he had just called and gave me any explanation, I could have found a way to work with it like grownups. This guy did not and just pointed out that we were past the 3 days to cancel and that they have a note in what you sign that says they can change the price. First, technically we were just past the 3 days to cancel. But, that was due to their delay. Second, they can change the price if condidtions on site warrant a change. Mistakes by salespeople are just mistakes. I would probably have eaten it if they would have talked about it and moved on. But, since zero response from the people and stealing my deposit, this is just my first rating. I'll see it it accepts a no star (forced to give a star). Now, on to the Oregon Construction Contrators Board. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I recommend RPB Fence. They are in Salem. And, my gates are exactly how I wanted them. read more

The only good part of my experience with Cool Cat Fencing was the initial meeting with the sales rep. As soon as installation started, there were problems, they didn't bring enough wood product with them. Instead of ordering more product, they told me that the design i asked for would not allow for the last foot of fencing install. After a month of trying to get this remedied through a warranty request on my part, the warranty team showed up unannounced and completed the fence. The lack of communication during this process was very unprofessional. It would be at least a week between a request from me until I received a reply. read more

I requested a quote for about 58 linear feet of fencing. I designed it to be quality but have a lot of value. An appointment was scheduled, but they never got back to me or showed up at the given address. Later, they send notify me that they will record the entire presentation without my consent, give a presentation on their company, go over financing options despite me paying cash, and show me options after I had a fence in mind. I DO NOT recommend. read more

This fencing company (Cool Cats) in anything but cool. They were horrible from the time I had them give an estimate on replacing my old fence. They hound you to schedule and sign onto their financing company Greensky. They showed up on my property with the wrong posts and just left. When I tried calling to figure out what happened and when they would return, they failed to call or text me back. I finally made a call to the main number and demanded someone call me back immediately. Stay clear of Gabe (sales), Zach(supervisor of Gabe) who told me he would walk though every step of the way to have a beautiful fence up. Joel (not even sure his purpose and couldn't reach out when things went south. Gene the foreman on the job who told me the posts were the wrong size and just left. I even received a call from customer service the following day who said he would look into the horrible service I endured and get back to me later in the day. 2 days later...no call from Tyler. Trust me if you want to avoid horrible service and a disaster...go with a different fencing company. I wanted to give them zero star rating but it wouldn't allow me to post unless I gave at least a 1-star. They are far from COOL!!!!!! I have a new fence company Gorilla Works Fencing Company putting up my fence today. They have been awesome so far to work with. I will post pictures when the job is complete. read more

I highly recommend Cool Cat Fence! From my very first contact the communication was clear, accurate, and prompt. Zac provided a detailed estimate and was very capable to answer all my questions. The job was scheduled for two weeks later, and the Project Manager kept me updated. The old fence removal and new fence install took only 2 1/2 days. The foreman, Fernando, was absolutely outstanding at keeping me informed of progress, and checking with me for decisions when it came to design choices. The entire crew was professional, courteous, and very diligent. Each day the job site was left clean, with all lumber stored neatly and out of the way. If you need a fence repair, or entirely new fence installed - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Cool Cat! read more

What a fantastic company all around! I was a little apprehensive before the install, but after speaking with Zach and Daniel I knew I had found the right company. From start to finish, everyone was communicative, professional, personable, and attentive to how I wanted the finished product to look. Fernando and his install team absolutely knocked the finished product out of the park. In addition, beyond the product itself, Cool Cat Fence really understands the idea of adding value through a positive customer experience. I'd hire Cool Cat Fence again in a heartbeat! read more

A very polite and courteous gentleman showed up to give me a bid on a fence we need replaced. His measurement was over twenty feet off, but he gave us a bid prior to leaving. I thought it was high, but he was my first bid. We told him we have a few other bids set up. After hearing that he said he could drop the price about $1,500 if he could get the bid today. Reminded me of a time share presentation. was told they match bids, which was mentioned the first time. I can't comment on quality or value, because we didn't accept their bid. We got a couple bids that came in $3,000 less. You will be pressured with this company, but I would certainly recommend you to do your due diligence and get a few other bids. That's money in our pockets. read more

We had a an arbor and decorative fence installed to replace one that got too old and fell down. The man who did the work did a GREAT job and the finished product is beautiful. The home office is another matter. The scheduling got very screwed up and the sales guy was either badly trained, ill-informed or openly lying about several things. If you are aware of these traps and don't mind a few very sleazy sales tactics you can get a good finished project. read more

Once the crew arrived they went to work quickly removing the old fence and building the new. We are very satisfied with the quality of the work done. The fence is well built and beautiful. The crew was efficient and hard working. The only issue we have is we were told a date and time the crew would arrive. We received a text that morning telling us they would arrive between 8 and 10 in the morning. They did not come and we heard nothing from anyone. The next day we heard nothing. After I called and left a message that expressed my frustration we finally got a returned call. We were told that there was a problem with the supplies not being delivered on time. I understand things happen. What I don't understand is the lack of communication. I will again say we are pleased with the fence. In fact we have recommended the company to our neighbors. read more

Great people to work with. Fast and efficient! They respond quickly and were very friendly!

Very confusing business practices. I got phone calls and text messages from at least 6 different numbers. The guy who came out to look at the job was good, seemed professional. Nice material samples. Decent price for the job. They sent an estiamte in email. I did not accept it or sign it, since it's a shared fence with my neighbor we need to discuss. I told them I will get back to them once we have an answer. Next thing I know I'm scheduled and getting an invoice. Based on this initial interaction would not recommend. Will update if my opinion changes. read more

I called to have someone come out for a quote on a .5acre. They sent me a guy named Phillip Gilbert. Phillip was late, nice when he arrived. Took down some footage and ideas and showed us product. After he was done he came up with a quote of 53k for the property. We had other plans to take care of and already put them off due to this late time frame for a quote . throughout the weekend , I work nights. Phillip continues to spam text me at all hours whether it's in the AM or PM. I finally have my weekend with my family and he messages me again when I just arrived at work. Told me "sitting static is rude my dude". I told him I will not be using the company I also am not married to him , I don't owe him a response on my time with my family. I told him it's "rude my dude". He then texts me again saying "thanks for communicating like an adult". idk what circus this clown came from but don't do work with this guy. Absolute harassment and a joke.ill post some screenshots of the text and also the member so everyone can look out for the guy who spam texts me on a weekend worse than after a first date. read more

If you are considering Cool Cat Fence, I would strongly recommend getting multiple bids before signing. In my case, I was under pressure to fix a safety fence issue quickly, and I regret not shopping around more. I paid premium pricing expecting a transparent, all-in experience and a finished product consistent with what was shown during bidding. During sales, I was shown photos and bid materials depicting a shadow box fence with a top rail. Once installation was underway, I was told that the top rail was not actually included and would require an additional charge. Even after I raised the discrepancy, the proposed resolution still felt expensive relative to the actual material cost. My concern is that the sales presentation, quoted scope, and install-day pricing did not align. I accepted what was effectively a premium bid because I wanted the issue handled quickly, and I regret not slowing down and comparing other companies first. Learn from my mistake: get multiple bids and get every visible design detail confirmed in writing. read more

Finished a fencing project using Cool Cat Fence last week. The project was cedar fencing for my entire backyard with two gates. The bid came in at a fair price, scheduling and quality materials. I met with Gabe Tischler in sales who was instrumental in helping me decide to go with this company rather others I had reached out to. The crew came in and worked tirelessly to finish my project in a timely fashion. They were competent, knowledgeable and very professional. A special nod goes to their foreman, Mykhailo (Mike) who was hardworking and always available If I had questions. Highly recommend for your fencing needs. read more

We were subcontracted to BWLLC who did a fantastic job, five stars. Cool Cat on the other hand, gets three stars. The original appointment was for M/6/1. I got a call wanting to move it up to S/5/23. We finally agreed on M/5/25. The job took all week, finished on Saturday. Cool Cat harassed me all week about final payment. Even after me telling them I was out of town and the job was not done, at least two phone calls, emails, and texts a day. read more

I would NEVER use this company again. They are high pressure, their installation crews don't speak English and they did a terrible job installing a chain link fence; nothing was even or straight, the posts were different heights, the gates were installed incorrectly and it took almost a month to make repairs. One of the gates is still crooked. Please think twice about this company. read more

very bad experience with them their salesman did not tell you that you could cancel within three days. All he said was you could make changes then when I called to ask how much it would cost to cancel. He did not tell me once again that I could cancel with no obligation instead he told me it would cost me $2600 then I did some research on the law and found out. I could cancel within three business days of then I did and the general that he told me that did not I would not use these guys as I asked for a refund in a week later called back and talk to a captain. Downton said they get back to me which she never did. Then I called back. My refund still hadn't been processed like they were gonna keep my money anyways when I made a think about it all of a sudden they credited me would not advise using these guys. read more

I would not recommend Cool Cat Fence. This is why. I stated what I wanted to the sales rep. I asked for a new 55 foot fence with galvanized posts and stain. The rep replied yes, we'll do it in the summer drier months. So my fence was completed on 4/2/26. When I asked when they could come out and stain, they replied that it's an additional cost. The sales rep never said or uttered to me that it was a separate charge. For the price I paid and stain not included, it's too expensive. Plus, I find out that the conversation between me and the sales rep was recorded without my knowledge or consent. I would not recommend Cool Cat Fence. read more

Unfortunately they are not good to deal with. Estimate was done on site, price and date were agreed upon and financing was complete. Date arrives for installation and now installation is increased by 50%. Nothing had changed since the on site estimate. I even suggested a compromise that I consider to be fair but not to them. Job was canceled on the spot. Do they do good work? I don't know and won't ever know. Do not trust their estimates. For this reason they are not recommended. Like another had suggested I will try Rick's Custom Fencing. read more

Ivan and his team worked with me quickly on a reasonable quote, started my fence in less than a couple of weeks and finished in a few hours. They matched the preexisting fences on either side perfectly, and we were very satisfied with the final product. Definitely recommend! read more
