Dave Boyer, owner of Cool Shade Patio Covers has been in the construction business for more than 20 years and for the last 8 years majoring in aluminum patio covers and carports. He started Magnum Patio Covers in Tacoma, WA in September of 2017, building this busines to one of the largest in the area and is still doing well today. Dave has total conviction in his product and expertise and understands that your home is your greatest investment. Like many of you, I have had wooden patio covers with rusty, wavy tin on top. The wood frames would warp and crack, always in need of restraining or painting. When it came time to sell my home, the cover was an eye sore and not an asset. When I discovered how affordable and long-lasting aluminum covers were, I switched right away and began my own aluminum patio cover business. The key for me was understanding the difference between an expense and an investment. A wooden cover is like having a bouquet of flowers; it's nice at first, but quickly fades and becomes trash. Powder coated aluminum covers, like a hydrangea plant, cost more but will give many years of beauty and pleasure.
