I could do most of my shopping here, but they don't have things like dish soap, paper towels, or frozen pizzas. The prices are pretty reasonable (especially the butcher section); the equivalent store in Washington, DC would be two times as much. Everyone that works at the store seems very helpful and friendly and I think most of them either speak English or understand it fairly well. A little bonus is during the summer when it's super hot outside, Savoie has a powerful AC system (very rare in this area!). It's so nice to cool off while shopping :)

I gave up on Swiss chocolate and bought cheese - the pricy ones to get something of good quality. The tomme is tasteless and the reblochon tastes like soap. The grapes are spoiled. The only good thing about this trip - I finally got my ticket to Lyon for a real meal.

I am still not used to the milk being left out of the fridge but hey, it's all good. the store has a little bit of everything you could imagine. if you can think of it, they have it, but no alcohol.

A downside is lines here regularly get very long, so plan ahead if you have a train to catch. All else equal, shop at a regular Coop -- not only for more selection, but also lower prices. As an example, a can of beer might be 1.80 CHF at Coop, and 2.00 CHF at the Pronto. Overall though, better than the Kiosk in price and selection, and convenient for getting some food and drink at the station.
